The Word of God

It is powerful

                 God’s word is living and powerful. Hebrews 4:12 says that, “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” It is a powerful weapon to be used against the attacks of Satan. Jeremiah 29:23 says that, “Is not My word like a fire?” says the Lord, “And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces? As fire and hammer refine and shape, the word of God purifies us and build us up.

It guides us

                The word of God helps us to find the right path of life. Psalm 119:105 says that, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”  It will guide us to take the next step in our life and it will help us in making right decisions. Like light, the word of God shines brightly in this dark world. It will direct us and guards our life journey. Let us always choose to walk in the light of God’s word. 

  

It never fails

                The word of God never fails. All the promises of the Lord are ‘Yes’ and ‘Amen’. Isaiah 55:11 says that “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”  Nothing can stop God’s word coming true. Mathew 24:35 says that “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” God’s word stands for ever and ever.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, we thank you for your word that is living and powerful. Let your word guide us and lead us every day. Help us to hold fast your word of truth that will never fail. Let us grow more in your knowledge and grace by your word. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.

God's Love

                                       

God's amazing love

        God is love. 1 John 4:16 says that "God is love and the one who abides in love abides in God and God abides in Him." God extends His love to us in spite of anything good in us. His amazing love is the best-known attribute of God.  The love of God towards us is infinite, constant, unfailing and unconditional.

God's great love

         God's creation shows His great love towards us. He created man in His own image to have a loving relationship with him. There is nothing like the love of God. Ephesians 1:4 says that “Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love". God loved us even before He created the earth. I John 3:1 says that "See how much the Father has loved us! His love is so great that we are called God's children and so, in fact, we are." Thank God for His great unfailing love for us to be called as children of God.

God's gracious love

        God's gracious love is far higher than any of the human love. Because John 3:16 says that "For God so loved the world that He gave His only son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life". God demonstrated His love for us by giving His son Jesus Christ to die for our sins. Romans 5:8 says that  "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us". This is the God's gracious love.

PRAYER: Father, thank you for the great, amazing and gracious love you extend to us. We thank you for everything you have done for us. Help us to taste and experience the depth, breadth, length and height of your great amazing love. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
