He Who Is Mighty Has Done Great Things For Me

           For He who is mighty has done great things for me, And holy is His name - Luke 1:49.

                 Mary praised God for the Mighty one had done great things in her life. My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for He has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me - Holy is His name - Luke 1:46-49.            

               Mary fully submitted herself to God when His redemption plan was announced to her. For with God nothing will be impossible. Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her - Luke 1:37,38. She believed that God will fulfill all those things that are told to her. Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord - Luke 1:45.

               God exalted Mary by blessing her with Jesus Christ, the Savior and light  of the world. And His mercy is on those who fear Him from generation to generation. He has shown strength with His arm; He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He has put down the mighty from their thrones, And exalted the lowly - Luke 1:50-52. The Mighty God had done great things for Mary. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn - Luke 2:7.                                                        

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You as You are the Mighty God who had done great things in our life. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
