Be Thankful To Him And Bless His Name

Be thankful to Him, and bless His name - Psalm 100:4.

1. We are to be thankful for God's grace

God's grace is exceedingly abundant and sufficient in our life.

"The grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant"(1 Timothy 1:14).

"And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work "(2 Corinthians 9:8).

"My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness "(2 Corinthians 12:9).

2. We are to be thankful for good health

Good health is a great blessing from God and so let us thank God for healing us and giving us good health.

"O Lord my God, I cried out to You, and You healed me" (Psalm 30:2).

3. We are to be thankful for God saving our life from distresses

God protected us and saved us from distresses as we called upon Him and so let us be thankful to God.

"Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses" (Psalm 107:13).

4. We are to be thankful for God's mercies

God's mercies are great, abounding and new every morning in our life.

"The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. He will not always strive with us, nor will He keep His anger forever. He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor punished us according to our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. As a father pities his children, so the LORD pities those who fear Him. For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust" (Psalm 103:8-14).

"Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness."(Lamentations 3:22-23).

5. We are to be thankful for God's provision

We need to be thankful for God providing for us all that we need.

"The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want" (Psalm 23:1).

Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever - Psalm 118:29.

Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ - Ephesians 5:20.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We are thankful to You for all You have done in our life. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

My Grace Is Sufficient For You

My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me - 2 Corinthians 12:9.

Gracious God

The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy - Psalm 145:8.

I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious - Exodus 33:9.

But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you - 1 Peter 5:10.

By grace

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God - Ephesians 2:8.

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace - Ephesians 1:7.

And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus - 1 Timothy 1:14.

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work - 2 Corinthians 9:8.

God Fights For Us

For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory - Deuteronomy 20:4.

Our God is a mighty warrior who is strong and mighty and mighty in battle. He fights for us against our enemies to save us and give us victory. The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves - Zephaniah 3:17. Our Lord is mighty in battle. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, The Lord mighty in battle - Psalm 24:8.

God fought for Israelites

God told Israelites not to be afraid but just stand still and see the salvation God as He will fight for them against the Israelites. The Israelites stood still and saw the salvation of God in the Red sea when the Egyptians pursed them. And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace" - Exodus 14:13,14.

Moses and the children of Israel thanked God for fighting for them with the Egyptians and giving them victory. Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the Lord, and spoke, saying: “I will sing to the Lord, For He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea!  The Lord is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt Him. The Lord is a man of war; The Lord is His name. Pharaoh’s chariots and his army He has cast into the sea; His chosen captains also are drowned in the Red Sea. The depths have covered them; They sank to the bottom like a stone - Exodus 15:1–5.

God fought the battles

Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 46 This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. Then all this assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord’s, and He will give you into our hands - 1 Samuel 17:45,46,47.

And I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, ‘Your eyes have seen all that the Lord your God has done to these two kings; so will the Lord do to all the kingdoms through which you pass. You must not fear them, for the Lord your God Himself fights for you.’ - Deuteronomy 3:21,22.

So Joshua ascended from Gilgal, he and all the people of war with him, and all the mighty men of valor. And the Lord said to Joshua, “Do not fear them, for I have delivered them into your hand; not a man of them shall stand before you.”- Joshua 10:8.

And he said, “Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the Lord to you: ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s - 2 Chronicles 20:15.

Let us thank God who fights all our battles and gives us victory. If God is for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save - Zephaniah 3:17. Be still, and know that I am God - Psalm 46:10. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ - 1 Corinthians 15:57.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for fighting all our battles against our enemies and giving us victory. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

He Has Made Everything Beautiful In Its Time

He has made everything beautiful in its time - Ecclesiastes 3:11.

God makes everything beautiful in our life in its time, in due season and at the proper time. The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due season. You open your hand; you satisfy the desire of every living thing - Psalm 145:15-16. Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you -1 Peter 5:6-7.

Water turned into wine & God's glory manifested

In the wedding of Cana, there was a situation that there was no more wine. But God manifested His glory by turning the water into wine that tasted so good at the right time. He made everything beautiful in its time.

 a) No wine

On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.”“Woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.” - John 2:1-4.

b) Water turned into wine at proper time

When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom. And he said to him, “Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!”. This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him - John 2:9-11.

Let us wait for God to make everything beautiful in its time so that His glory will be manifested in our life. The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord - Lamentations 3:25-26. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord - Psalm 27:14. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose - Romans 8:28.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us wait for You to make everything beautiful in its time. We thank You for manifesting Your glory in our life at proper time. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

                                                                            Faith over fear

For we walk by faith, not by sight - 2 Corinthians 5:7.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind - 2 Timothy 1:7.

PRAYER: Let us submit ourselves to You by trusting, praying, praising, meditating Your Word, choosing Your ways and wisdom with faith. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

He Makes My Feet Like The Feet of A Deer

The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights- Habakkuk 3:19.

The Sovereign Lord will make our feet like the feet of a deer to rise above every circumstances and will make us to walk on high hills without stumbling by being our strength. He made my feet like the feet of a deer and set me secure on the heights. He trains my hands for war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze - 2 Samuel 22:34-35.

God made David's feet like the feet of deer to skip from one place to another and gave him the same kind of skill like deer to escape dangers brought by his enemies. It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect. He made my feet like the feet of a deer and set me secure on the heights - Psalm 18:32,33.

May God give us His grace to rise above every circumstances by making our feet like deer’s feet. Then shall the lame man leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute sing for joy. For waters break forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert - Isaiah 35:6. He will enable us to tread on the heights of the earth. He made him ride in the heights of the earth, That he might eat the produce of the fields; He made him draw honey from the rock, And oil from the flinty rock - Deuteronomy 32:13.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the Sovereign Lord who is our strength. We thank You for making our feet like the feet of a deer to rise above every circumstances and enabling us to tread on the heights. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

For He Spoke And It Was Done He Commanded And It Stood Fast

For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast - Psalm 33:9.

Our God is so powerful that He created the world by His Word and gathered the waters of the sea together as a heap. Then God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good - Genesis 1:9,10. By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth. He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap - Psalm 33:6, 7.

God also made the sand a boundary for the sea as waves may roll and roar, but cannot pass beyond it. Do you not fear Me?’ says the Lord. Will you not tremble at My presence, Who have placed the sand as the bound of the sea, By a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass beyond it? And though its waves toss to and fro, Yet they cannot prevail; Though they roar, yet they cannot pass over it - Jeremiah 5:22.

God who gathered water into one place made the sea into dry land by a strong east wind, divided the Red sea for the Israelites to cross. Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided. So the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left - Exodus 14:21,22. To Him who divided the Red Sea in two, For His mercy endures forever - Psalm 136:13.

Let us praise and thank our powerful God as whatever He speaks it will be done and what He commands it will stand fast in the things we expect miracles in our life. He divided the sea and led them through; he made the water stand up like a wall - Psalm 78:13. Praise him, you highest heavens and you waters above the skies. Let them praise the name of the Lord, for at his command they were created - Psalm 148:4,5.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are powerful God. We thank You as when You speak, it will be done and when You command and it will stand fast in the things we expect miracles in our life. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Looking To Jesus

Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God - Hebrews 12:1,2.

Look to Jesus - For mercy

Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters, As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, So our eyes look to the Lord our God, Until He has mercy on us - Psalm 123:2.

Look to Jesus - For rest and peace

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest - Matthew 11:28. I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world - John 16:33.

Look to Jesus - For help

I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth - Psalm 121:1,2. Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted - Hebrews 2:18.

Look to Jesus - For light

They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed - Psalm 34:5.

Look to Jesus - For salvation

Look to Me, and be saved, all you ends of the earth! - Isaiah 45:22.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us look to You for everything and run our race with endurance. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Love One Another

Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another - 1 John 4:11.

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails - 1 Corinthians 13:1-8.

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins - 1 Peter 4:8.

Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends - Proverbs 17:9.

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love - Ephesians 4:2.

Let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth - 1 John 3:18.

Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart - 1 Peter 1:22.

If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also - 1 John 4:20,21.

As you have heard from the beginning, His command is that you walk in love - 2 John 1:6.

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another - John 13:34, 35.

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love - 1 John 4:7,8.

We love because he first loved us - 1 John 4:19.

If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us - 1 John 4:12.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,  kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control - Galatians 5:22.

Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all sins - Proverbs 5:20.

Jesus said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself’ - Matthew 22: 37-39.

Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves - Romans 12:10.

Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you - Matthew 5:44.

And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma - Ephesians 5:2.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us love one another like how You loved us and gave Yourself for us. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

He Will Set You High Above All Nations

He will set you high above all nations which He has made, in praise, in name, and in honor, and that you may be a holy people to the Lord your God, just as He has spoken - Deuteronomy 26:19.

God will set you high above all nations - Be humble

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up - James 4:10. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted - Luke 14:11. He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble - Luke 1:52. Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time - 1 Peter 5:6.

God will set you high above all nations - Obey God & follow His commands

If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth - Deuteronomy 28:1. The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom - Deuteronomy 28:13.

Daniel set high above others

Daniel did not change his habit of praying even when the law changed. Instead he humbled himself before God, obeyed and followed His commands and prayed three times a day. So, God set Daniel high above others. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days - Daniel 6:10. Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm - Daniel 6:3.

The Lord Is My Helper I Will Not Be Afraid

The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid - Hebrews 13:6.

There is no need to be afraid of anything as God is our Helper. He is your shield and helper - Deuteronomy 33:29. Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand - Isaiah 41:10.’God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble - Psalm 46:1.

The Israelites were afraid when the Egyptians pursued after them. But God helped them by parting the Red Sea. Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still - Exodus 14:13-14.

The same way God will help us by making a new way as we look upon Him and so let us not be afraid of any situations. I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth - Psalm 121:1,2.

Let us thank God our Helper who helps us in all our situations. The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him - Psalm 28:7. You make your saving help my shield, and your right hand sustains me; your help has made me great. You provide a broad path for my feet, so that my ankles do not give way - Psalm 18:35-36.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We will not be afraid of anything as You are our Helper. We thank You for helping us. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Speaking Life-Giving Words

Set a guard over my mouth, Lord; keep watch over the door of my lips - Psalm 141:3.

Be wise

We need to be wise in speaking as our words will have impact on others. The words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. Proverbs 12:18. In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, But he who restrains his lips is wise - Proverbs 10:19. The heart of the wise instructs his mouth and adds persuasiveness to his lips. Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. Proverbs 16:23-24. The one who guards his mouth protects his life; the one who opens his lips invites his own ruin - Proverbs 13:3.

Give grace

Our speech should give grace to those who hear. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one - Colossians 4:6. Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear - Ephesians 4:29.

To see good in the days we live

We need to be careful in what we speak to see good in the days we live. Who is the man who desires life and loves length of days that he may see good? Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit. Depart from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it - Psalm 34:12-14. He who guards his mouth preserves his life, But he who opens wide his lips shall have destruction - Proverbs 13:3.

Store the Word of God in heart

We will speak life giving words when we constantly consume the Word of God by storing it in our hearts and meditating on it day and night as our mouth speaks out of the abundance of heart. I have stored up Your word in my heart, that I may not sin again You - Psalm 119:11. Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you. Colossians 3:16. For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. The good person out of his good treasure brings forth good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure brings forth evil. I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned - Matthew 12:34–37.

May the Holy Spirit help us to set a guard over our mouths and let us be careful of what we say by speaking only life-giving words. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer - Psalm 19:14. Whoever guards his mouth and tongue keeps his soul from troubles - Proverbs 21:23.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to set a guard over our mouth and speak only life giving words. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually! - 1 Chronicles 16:11.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let our hope be always in You and let us seek You with all our heart. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

God is our Shepherd and we are the sheep of his pasture who listen to His voice and follow Him. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me - John 10:27. And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd - John 10:16. So we, Your people and sheep of Your pasture, Will give You thanks forever; We will show forth Your praise to all generations - Psalm 79:13.

Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you— The sure mercies of David - Isaiah 55:2, 3.

Let us be still and listen to God's voice. Be still, and know that I am God - Psalm 46:10. And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.” - Isaiah 30:21. Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known - Jeremiah 33:3. Let me hear what God the Lord will speak, for he will speak peace to his people - Psalm 85:8.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us listen to your voice and walk according to it. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
