Gethsemane

Then they came to a place which was named Gethsemane; and He said to His disciples, “Sit here while I pray” - Mark 14:32.

Jesus went to the garden of Gethsemane the night before His crucifixion and prayed for the will of the Father to be done. And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” - Luke 22:41. He submitted to the will of Father as He came down from heaven to do His will and not His will. For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me - John 6:38.

Jesus prayed more earnestly in the garden of Gethsemane in agony. And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground - Luke 22:44. Who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear - Hebrews 5:7.

God strengthens us as we wait upon Him in prayer. Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him - Luke 22:43. But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint - Isaiah 40:31. Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the Lord makes his life an offering for sin, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand - Isaiah 53:10.

Let us submit ourselves to the will of God and pray earnestly in all situations like Jesus. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God - Psalm 143:10. I delight to do Your will, O my God - Psalm 40:8. Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak - Mathew 26:41. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus - Philippians 4:6-7.

And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the                                                                                                     death of the cross - Philippians 2:8.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us not be anxious about anything but bring all our requests to You in prayer and submit everything to Your will. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

By His Stripes

By His stripes we are healed - Isaiah 53:5.

Jesus was pierced for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities and by His stripes we are healed. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities - Isaiah 53:5. He Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness - by whose stripes you were healed - 1 Peter 2:24. He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses - Matthew 8:17.

Jesus is our Healer and He heals all those who need healing. I am the Lord who heals you - Exodus 15:26. He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds - Psalm 147:3. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit - Psalm 34:18. But when the multitudes knew it, they followed Him; and He received them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who had need of healing - Luke 9:11. And great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all - Matthew 12:!5.

Jesus heals all kinds of diseases and sickness. And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people - Matthew 4:21. When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses” - Matthew 8:16,17. He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions - Psalm 107:20.

Let us praise the Lord our Healer who heals all our diseases by His stripes. Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases - Psalm 103:1-3. For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds, says the Lord - Jeremiah 30:17. I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the Lord - Psalm 118:17.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for healing all our diseases by Your stripes. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Palm Sunday

“Hosanna! ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ The King of Israel!” - John 12:13.

Palm Sunday is the beginning of Holy Week and the first day of Jesus' final week in Jerusalem.  Jesus told His disciples to untie a colt and bring it to Him when entering the Jerusalem. As he approached Bethphage and Bethany at the hill called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it.’” - Luke 19:29-31. And they said, “The Lord has need of him.” Then they brought him to Jesus. And they threw their own clothes on the colt, and they set Jesus on him - Luke 19:34,35.

Jesus came into Jerusalem as king riding on a donkey humbly and gently. Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey - Zechariah 9:9. And when He had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, “Who is this?” So the multitudes said, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth of Galilee.” - Matthew 21:10,11.

The crowds of people welcomed Jesus by laying down palm branches and their coats on the ground and shouted "Hosanna to the son of David". Hosanna means “Save us”. They shouted, “Hosanna!! Hosanna!!  Son of David!! Blessed is the King of Israel!!”. And a very great multitude spread their clothes on the road; others cut down branches from the trees and spread them on the road. Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying: “Hosanna to the Son of David! ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ Hosanna in the highest!” - Matthew 21:8,9. They welcomed him as their victorious Savior, taking palm branches and shouting "Hosanna!" - John 12:13.

Let us exalt God our victorious Savior, lift up His name with hearts full of praises and shout Hosanna to our King of Kings. Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens - Psalm 68:19. The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes. The Lord has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad. Lord, save us! Lord, grant us success! - Psalm 118:22-25.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the King of Kings and victorious Savior. We exalt You and lift up Your name with hearts full of praises and shout hosanna. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Faithfulness, Gentleness & Self control

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,                                              gentleness, self control  - Galatians 5:22,23.

Faithfulness

A faithful man will abound with blessings - Proverbs 28:20.

The Lord rewards everyone for their righteousness and faithfulness - 1 Samuel 26:23.

His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord’ - Matthew 25:21.

He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much - Luke 16:10.

Gentleness

But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness - 1 Timothy 6:11.

And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, 25 in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth - 2 Timothy 2:24,25.

Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect - 1 Peter 3:15.

Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand - Philippians 4:5.

Self-Control

For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control - 2 Timothy 1:7.

For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age - Titus 2:11,12.

For a bishop must be blameless, as a steward of God, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but hospitable, a lover of what is good, sober-minded, just, holy, self-controlled - Titus 1:7,8.

But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love - 2 Peter 1:5-7.

A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls - Proverbs 25:28.

A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger.Proverbs 15:1.

Be not quick in your spirit to become angry, for anger lodges in the heart of fools - Ecclesiastes 7:9.

The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers - 1 Peter 4:7.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us exhibit the fruit of the Spirit by being faithful, gentle and self-controlled. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Teaching, Preaching & Healing

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people - Matthew 4:23.

Teaching

And Jesus, when He came out, saw a great multitude and was moved with compassion for them, because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. So He began to teach them many things - Mark 6:34.

And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes - Matthew 7:28,29.

Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. - Matthew 9:35.

Preaching

From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” - Matthew 4:17.

Healing

Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them. Great multitudes followed Him—from Galilee, and from Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and beyond the Jordan - Matthew 4:23-25.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age - Matthew 28:19-20.

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” - Mark 16:15.

Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give - Matthew 10:8.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us go into all the world, teach the word, preach the gospel and heal the sick. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Goodness

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,                                              gentleness, self control  - Galatians 5:22,23.

Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness - Psalm 37:3.

Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, When it is in the power of your hand to do so.  Do not say to your neighbor, “Go, and come back, And tomorrow I will give it,” When you have it with you - Proverbs 3:27,28.

Depart from evil and do good, So you will abide forever - Psalm 37:27.

Do not grow weary in doing good - 2 Thessalonians 3:13.

Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, When it is in the power of your hand to do so - Proverbs 3:27.

Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else - 1 Thessalonians 5:15.

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers - Galatians 6:9, 10.

Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else - 1 Thessalonians 5:15.

And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back. But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High - Luke 6:33-35.

Do good to those who hate you - Luke 6:27.

But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked - Luke 6:35.

If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; And if he is thirsty, give him water to drink; For so you will heap coals of fire on his head, And the Lord will reward you - Proverbs 25:21,22.

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good - Romans 12:21.

But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect - Matthew 5:44,45.48.

Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life - 1 Timothy 6:18,19.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to be good with everyone. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Let Us Examine Our Ways And Test Them And Return To The Lord

Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord - Lamentations 3:40.

Walking in the Light

This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin - 1 John 1:5-7.

Confession of Sin

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us - 1 John 1:8-10.

Obedience

Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him - 1 John 2:3-4.

Love one another

If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit - 1 John 4:12,13.

Do not love the world

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever - 1 John 2:15-17.

Consider things that were of gain as loss

But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith - Philippians 3:7-9.

Abide in truth

Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life - 1 John 2:24-25.

Practice righteousness

Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God - 1 John 3:7-9.

Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting - Psalm 139:23–24.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us examine our ways, test them and return to You. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Believe God

I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die - John 11:25,26.

We will see the glory of God if we believe and all things are possible to us. If you believe, you will see the glory of God - John 11:40. All things are possible to him who believes - Mark 9:23.  Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame - Romans 10:11.

Jesus Heals an Official's Son at Capernaum in Galilee

And there was a certain royal official whose son lay sick at Capernaum. When this man heard that Jesus had arrived in Galilee from Judea, he went to him and begged him to come and heal his son, who was close to death. “Unless you people see signs and wonders,” Jesus told him, “you will never believe.”  The royal official said, “Sir, come down before my child dies.” “Go,” Jesus replied, “your son will live.” - John 4:46-50.

The official believed the word that Jesus spoke to him. So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way. And as he was now going down, his servants met him and told him, saying, “Your son lives!” - John 4:51.

Jesus Heals a Boy With an Unclean Spirit

So He asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood. And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.” - Mark 9:21,22.

The father believed as Jesus told that all things are possible to him who believes. Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!” Then the spirit cried out, convulsed him greatly, and came out of him. And he became as one dead, so that many said, “He is dead.” But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose - Mark 9:23-27.

Jesus Raises Jairus' Daughter Back to Life

And behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue. And he fell down at Jesus’ feet and begged Him to come to his house, for he had an only daughter about twelve years of age, and she was dying - Luke 8:41,42.

Jairus believed when Jesus told him only to believe and not to be afraid even though he heard that his daughter is dead. While He was still speaking, someone came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying to him, “Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble the Teacher.” But when Jesus heard it, He answered him, saying, “Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well.”  But He put them all outside, took her by the hand and called, saying, “Little girl, arise.” Then her spirit returned, and she arose immediately - Luke 8:49,50,54,55.

Jesus Raises Lazarus From the Dead

Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb. It was a cave with a stone laid across the entrance. “Take away the stone,” he said. “But, Lord,” said Martha, the sister of the dead man, “by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days.” - John 11:38,39.

Jesus told Martha that if you believe, you will see the glory of God and raised Lazarus who was dead. Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.” When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.” - John 11:40-44.

Dear Lord, Let us believe and see Your glory. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Pray Continually

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.

God's will for us is to pray continually. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints - Ephesians 6:18. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus - Philippians 4:6-7.

Hannah prayed

I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the Lord - 1 Samuel 1:27.

Moses prayed

So the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend - Exodus 33:11.

David prayed

Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, And He shall hear my voice - Psalm 55:17.

Elijah prayed

The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.  And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit - James 5:16-18.

Paul prayed

In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus - Philippians 1:3-6.

Jesus prayed

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed - Mark 1:35.

And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground - Luke 22:44.

He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.” - Matthew 26:39.

Let us thank and praise God who hears and answers all our prayers. I will praise You, For You have answered me - Psalm 118:21. But certainly God has heard me; He has attended to the voice of my prayer. Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer, Nor His mercy from me - Psalm 66:19, 20.

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful - Colossians 4:2.

Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak - Matthew 26:41.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us pray continually. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin - 1 John 1:7.

Brought near by the blood of Christ

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ - Ephesians 2:13.

Peace through the blood

For it pleased the Father that min Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross - Colossians 1:19,20.

Redeemed

Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot - 1 Peter 1:18–19.

Justified

Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him - Romans 5:9.

Forgiveness of sins

This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins - Matthew 26:28.

Church of God bought

Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood - Acts 20:28.

Triumphed over Satan

They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony - Revelation 12:11.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for Your precious blood that is shed for us. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Kindness

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control -  Galatians 5:22.

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you - Ephesians 4:32.

An anxious heart weighs a man down, but a kind word cheers him up - Proverbs 12:25.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud - 1 Corinthians 13:4.

Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do - Colossians 3:12,13.

Thus says the Lord of hosts, Render true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another - Zechariah 7:9.

Do not let kindness and truth leave you, bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart - Proverbs 3:3.

And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful - 2 Timothy 2:24.

Those who are kind benefit themselves - Proverbs 11:17.

Whoever is kind to the needy honors God - Proverbs 12:31.

Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness will find life and honor - Proverbs 21:21.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs - 1 corinthians 13:3-5.

She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue - Proverbs 31:26.

Blessed is the one who is kind to the needy - Proverbs 12:21.

But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life - Titus 3:4-7.

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus - Ephesians 2:2-7.

The Lord is just in all his ways and kind in all his doings - Psalm 145:17.

You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. Now we know that God’s judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. So when you, a mere human being, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment? Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance? - Romans 2:1-4.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to be kind to others. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

It Is Because of Him

It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.” - 1 Corinthians 1:30,21.

It is because of God’s work for us we are in Christ Jesus, who became our righteousness and holiness and redemption and not from ourselves. So let us boast only in the Lord as we are the partakers of His divine nature. By which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust - 2 peter 1:4.

Jesus: Our Righteousness

Jesus is our righteousness. We became the righteousness of God in Him as our sins are taken away by the blood of Christ. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him - 2 Corinthians 5:21. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness - Romans 6:18.

Jesus: Our Holiness

Jesus is our holiness. It is because of Him we are saved, called to a holy life and set apart for Him and transformed into His image and not because of anything we have done. He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace - 2 Timothy 1:9. But know that the Lord has set apart for Himself him who is godly - Psalm 4:3. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord - 2 Corinthians 3:18.

Jesus: Our Redemption

Jesus is our redemption. Christ paid the ultimate price on the cross and we have redemption through His blood. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace - Ephesians 1:7. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us - Galatians 3:13.

For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery -                                                                                                              Galatians 5:1.

But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and                                                                                         the end, everlasting life - Romans 6:22.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, It is because of You we are in You. You are our righteousness, holiness and redemption. We thank You for all You have done for us on the cross. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Prayer & Promises

If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it - John 14:14.

Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know - Jeremiah 33:3.

If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you -  John 15:7.

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us - Ephesians 3:20.

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours - Mark 11:24.

Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me - Psalm 50:15.

So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?  If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” - Luke 11:9-13.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land - 2 Chronicles 7:14.

Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you - Jeremiah 29:12.

The Lord will hear when I call to him - Psalm 4:3.

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart - Jeremiah 29:13.

The gracious hand of our God is on everyone who looks to him - Ezra 8:22.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him - James 1:5.

The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective - James 5:16.

Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation - Psalm 91:14-16.

He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them - Psalm 145:19.

For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them - Matthew 18:20.

Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us - Psalm 62:8.

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up - James 4:8-10.

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful - Colossians 4:2.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us devote ourselves to prayer. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
