Do Not Be Unbelieving But Believing

Do not be unbelieving, but believing - John 20:27.

Thomas had unbelief as he told that unless he sees the nail marks in Jesus’ hands and put his hands where His nails were, he will not believe when other disciples told that they saw Jesus. Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, “Peace to you!” Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.” - John 20:25-27.

Jesus told Thomas to not be unbelieving but believing as blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed. And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” - John 20:28,29. Everything is possible for one who believes - Mark 9:23. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned - Mark 16:16.

Let us not be unbelieving but believing as an unbelieving heart is sinful and turns us away from God. See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness - Hebrews 3:12,13.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us not be unbelieving but believing. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
