God's Abundant Restoration

Even today I declare That I will restore double to you - Zechariah 9:12. 

                 God is faithful in restoring us everything in double that we have lost in the past years. The threshing floors shall be full of wheat, And the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil. So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you - Joel 2:24,25To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness - Isaiah 61:3. 

God's restoration for Job 

And the Lord restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before - Job 42:10. Now the Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; for he had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, and one thousand female donkeys. He also had seven sons and three daughters - Job 42:12,13. 

God's restoration for Joseph

And Pharaoh said to Joseph, “See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt.” - Genesis 41:41. Thus he put him in charge of the whole land of Egypt - Genesis 41:43. So all countries came to Joseph in Egypt to buy grain, because the famine was severe in all lands - Genesis 41:57.

God's restoration for David 

So David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away, and David rescued his two wives. And nothing of theirs was lacking, either small or great, sons or daughters, spoil or anything which they had taken from them; David recovered all. Then David took all the flocks and herds they had driven before those other livestock, and said, “This is David’s spoil.”- 1Samuel 30:18-20.

God's restoration renews our joy

When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, We were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.” The Lord has done great things for us, And we are glad - Psalm 126:1-3. 

                  Let us thank God who restored us abundantly and renewed our joy. We went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance - Psalm 66:12. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, And praise the name of the Lord your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; And My people shall never be put to shame - Joel 2:26. Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, And instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs - Isaiah 61:7. 

                                                                              

 I will bring back the captives of My people Israel; They shall build the waste cities and inhabit them; They shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them; They shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them. I will plant them in their land, And no longer shall they be pulled up From the land I have given them,” Says the Lord your God - Amos 9:14,15. 

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for restoring us everything that we have lost in abundance and filling us with joy. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Give Praise To The Lord

Sing to the Lord! Give praise to the Lord! - Jeremiah 20:13.

For the Lord is a great God & a great King above all gods

           Our Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods and so let us come into his presence with thanksgiving and make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise. Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods - Psalm 95:2-3.

For making darkness light before us & crooked places straight

            Our God had made darkness light before us and crooked places straight and so let us praise Him. Let them give glory to the Lord, And declare His praise in the coastlands. I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, And crooked places straight. These things I will do for them - Isaiah 42:12, 16.

For His mighty acts

               Our mighty God had done mighty acts in our life and so let us praise Him. For He who is mighty has done great things for me, And holy is His name - Luke 1:49. Praise him for his mighty acts; praise him according to his excellent greatness! - Psalm 150:2. I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will free you from their bondage, and I will rescue you with an outstretched arm  and by mighty acts of judgment – Exodus 6:6. Who can utter the mighty acts of the Lord? Who can declare all His praise? - Psalm 106:2. One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts - Psalm 145:4.        

                                                                     

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are great and mighty God. We praise You and thank You for making darkness light before us, crooked places straight and for doing mighty acts in our life. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

The Lord Gives What Is Good

     Yes, the Lord will give what is good; And our land will yield its increase - Psalm 85:12.

The Lord gives wisdom

For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding - Proverbs 2:6.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him - James 1:5.

The Lord gives rest

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest - Matthew 11:28.

The Lord gives grace

But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” - James 4:6.

The Lord gives peace

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid - John 14:27.

The Lord gives the desires of our heart 

Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart - Psalm 37:4. 

The Lord gives strength 

The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace - Psalm 29:11.

The Lord gives what we ask

If you ask anything in My name, I will do it - John 14:14. 

 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you - John 15:7. 

The Lord gives us the ability to produce wealth

But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today - Deuteronomy 8:18. 

The Lord gives eternal life

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life - John 3:16.

The Lord gives keys of the kingdom of heaven

And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven - Matthew 16:19.

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! - Matthew 7:11.

                                                                                                    

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are our Giver. We thank You and praise You for giving us what is good and everything we need. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Our God Is Full of Compassion

     Our God is full of compassion - Psalm 116:5. 

                     Our God is full of compassion and He is compassionate to all. The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. The Lord is good to all; He has compassion on all He has made - Psalm 145:8,9. But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness - Psalm 86:15. Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him! - Isaiah 30:18.

Compassion as a father has compassion on his children

As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him - Psalm 103:13.

Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness - Lamentations 3:22,23.

Compassion with unfailing love not shaken & covenant of peace not removed

Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed," says the Lord, who has compassion on you - Isaiah 51:10.

Compassion in forgiving our iniquities

 But He, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity, And did not destroy them - Psalm 78:38.

Compassion in healing

And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick - Matthew 14:14.

Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.” Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.” - Mark 1:40-41.

Compassion for the lost souls

But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd - Matthew 9:36.

Compassion in doing great works and wonders

 Great are the works of the LORD; they are pondered by all who delight in them. Glorious and majestic are his deeds, and his righteousness endures forever. He has caused his wonders to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and compassionate - Psalm 111:2-4.

               Like our Compassionate God who is full of compassion, let us also be compassionate to others. Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you? - Matthew 18:33. Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience - Colossians 3:12. Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous - 1 Peter 3:8.

                                                                      

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are full of compassion. Let us also be compassionate to others. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

There Shall Be Showers of Blessing

There shall be showers of blessing - Ezekiel 34:26.

The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow - Deuteronomy 28:12.

Ask the Lord for rain In the time of the latter rain. The Lord will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, Grass in the field for everyone - Zechariah 10:1.

You gave abundant showers, O God; you refreshed your weary inheritance. Your people settled in it,     and from your bounty, God, you provided for the poor - Psalm 68:9.

If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments, and perform them, then I will give you rain in its season, the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit - Leviticus 26:3,4.

He blesses the dwelling of the righteous - Proverbs 3:33.

Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you - Hebrews 6:14. 

He turns a wilderness into pools of water, And dry land into water springs. There He makes the hungry dwell, That they may establish a city for a dwelling place, And sow fields and plant vineyards, That they may yield a fruitful harvest. He also blesses them, and they multiply greatly - Psalm 107:35-38. 

I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me.” - Genesis 22:17,18.

And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work - 2 Corinthians 9:8.

Blessings are on the head of the righteous - Proverbs 10:6.

The blessing  of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it - Proverbs 10:22.

Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you - Hebrews 6:14. 

The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you - Deuteronomy 28:8.

I will make them and the places all around My hill a blessing; and I will cause showers to come down in their season; there shall be showers of blessing - Ezekiel 34:26.

For the Lord your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands - Deuteronomy 2:7. 

There, in the presence of the Lord your God, you and your families shall eat and shall rejoice in everything you have put your hand to, because the Lord your God has blessed you - Deuteronomy 12:7. 

May the Lord, the God of your fathers, increase you a thousand-fold more than you are and bless you, just as He has promised you! - Deuteronomy 1:11.

Strong Faith

Now faith is the confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see - Hebrews 11:1.

Strong faith believes God's promises

God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? - Numbers 23:19.

Strong faith depends on God's help

Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand - Isaiah 41:10.

Strong faith never fear

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go - Joshua 1:9.

Strong faith does not doubt God's power

For with God nothing will be impossible - Luke 1:37.

Strong faith does not walk by sight

For we walk by faith, not by sight - 2 Corinthians 5:7. 

Strong faith is rooted in God's Word

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God - Romans 10:17.

Strong faith perseveres

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart - Galatians 6:9.

Strong faith produces obedience

By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going - Hebrews 11:8.

Strong faith trusts God

The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him - Psalm 28:7.

Strong faith gives glory to God

He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God - Romans 4:20.

                                                     

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let our faith be strong in all situations. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Be Filled With The Spirit

                                                Be filled with the Spirit - Ephesians 5:18.

Teaches us all things

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you - John 14:26. 

Gives us power 

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth - Acts 1:8. 

Leads us to holiness

But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God - 1 Corinthians 6:11.

Equips us for ministry

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills - 1 Corinthians 12:7-11.

Produces character

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law - Galatians 5:22,23. 

Brings boldness

When they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God with boldness - Acts 4:31.

Fills us with hope

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit - Romans 15:13.

Guides us

However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth - John 16:13.

Gives us freedom

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom - 2 Corinthians 3:17.

Gives us new life

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you - Romans 8:11.

Helps us in our weaknesses

Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered - Romans 8:26.                                                                     



PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us be filled with the Spirit. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Lay Hands On The Sick

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover - Mark 16:17,18.

              The Lord Jesus healed many those who were sick by touching them and laying hands on them and recovered them. He said that when believers would lay hands on the sick, the sick would recover. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed - Luke 4:18.

Peter's mother-in-law healed

When Jesus came into Peter’s house, he saw Peter’s mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever. He touched her hand and the fever left her, and she got up and began to wait on him - Matthew 8:14,15.

Leper cleansed

Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy - Matthew 8:3. 

Two blind men received their sight

And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.” Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.” And their eyes were opened - Matthew 9:28-30. 

A deaf and mute man healed

Then Jesus left the vicinity of Tyre and went through Sidon, down to the Sea of Galilee and into the region of the Decapolis. There some people brought to him a man who was deaf and could hardly talk, and they begged Jesus to place his hand on him.

After he took him aside, away from the crowd, Jesus put his fingers into the man’s ears. Then he spit and touched the man’s tongue. He looked up to heaven and with a deep sigh said to him, “Ephphatha!” (which means “Be opened!”). At this, the man’s ears were opened, his tongue was loosened and he began to speak plainly - Mark 7:31-35.

Two blind men received their sight

Now as they went out of Jericho, a great multitude followed Him. And behold, two blind men sitting by the road, when they heard that Jesus was passing by, cried out, saying, “Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!” Then the multitude warned them that they should be quiet; but they cried out all the more, saying, “Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!” So Jesus stood still and called them, and said, “What do you want Me to do for you?” They said to Him, “Lord, that our eyes may be opened.” So Jesus had compassion and touched their eyes. And immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed Him - Matthew 20:19-34.

The Son of the Widow of Nain raised to life

And when He came near the gate of the city, behold, a dead man was being carried out, the only son of his mother; and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the city was with her. When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.” Then He came and touched the open coffin, and those who carried him stood still. And He said, “Young man, I say to you, arise.” So he who was dead sat up and began to speak. And He presented him to his mother - Luke 7:12-15.

                                                                      

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for giving us power to lay hands on the sick to recover them. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

I Have Seen Your Tears

I have seen your tears - 2 Kings 20:5.

God sees our tears

God saw the tears of Hannah and answered her prayer

In her deep anguish Hannah prayed to the Lord, weeping bitterly.  So in the course of time Hannah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel, saying, “Because I asked the Lord for him.” - 1 Samuel 1:10,20. 

God saw the tears of Hezekiah and heard his prayer

Remember now, O Lord, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what was good in Your sight.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly. I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord - 2 Kings 20:3, 5.

God stores our tears

David says that God keeps track of our wanderings, stores our tears in His bottle and hears the voice of our weeping.

You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book? - Psalm 56:8.

I am weary with my groaning; All night I make my bed swim; I drench my couch with my tears. My eye wastes away because of grief; It grows old because of all my enemies. Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity; For the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping. The Lord has heard my supplication; The Lord will receive my prayer. Let all my enemies be ashamed and greatly troubled; Let them turn back and be ashamed suddenly - Psalm 6:6-10.

God wipes away every tear from our eyes and turns our weeping into Joy

God will wipe away every tear from their eyes - Revelation 21:4.

Truly, truly, I say to you, you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn into joy - John 16:20.

Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning - Psalm 30:5.

                    Let us thank God who sees, stores and wipes away every tear of us and turns our weeping into joy.   Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them - Psalm 126:6. You have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling; I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living - Psalm 116:8–9.

                                                                                         

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You have seen, stored and wiped away every tear of us. We thank You for turning our weeping into joy. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

More Than All We Ask Or Imagine

 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us - Ephesians 3:20.               

The lame man  asked Peter & John for money  

         A man who was lame from birth was carried to the temple gate called Beautiful where he was put every day to beg from those going into the temple courts. When Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer, he asked them for money. One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer—at three in the afternoon. Now a man who was lame from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg from those going into the temple courts. When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money - Acts 3:1-3. 

Expected to get some money but received healing

                The lame man who expected to get some money from them received healing. Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, “Look at us!” So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them. Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong - Acts 3:4-7. 

Walked and praised God 

                 The lame man who received more than what he asked or imagined walked and praised God and all the people were greatly amazed. He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God. When all the people saw him walking and praising God, they recognized him as the same man who used to sit begging at the temple gate called Beautiful, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him. Now as the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch which is called Solomon’s, greatly amazed - Acts 3:8-11. 

                May God immeasurably bless us more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts - Isaiah 55:8,9.                                                                                                       

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for blessing us immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

The Unwavering Faith of Abraham

                        He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had                                        promised He was also able to perform - Romans 8:20,21.

               Abraham did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, what He had promised He was also able to perform. He is called the father of many nations because of his unwavering faith. No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations - Genesis 17:5.

By faith, Abraham obeyed God when he was called to go out to the place and went not knowing where he was going

By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God - Hebrews 11:8-10. 

By faith, Abraham believed that God can give life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did

Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.” And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb - Romans 4:16-19. 

By faith, Abraham obeyed and offered up Isaac as he believed that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead

By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, of whom it was said, “In Isaac your seed shall be called,” concluding that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead, from which he also received him in a figurative sense - Hebrews 11:17-19.

                                                                                                             

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us not waver at Your promise through unbelief, but be strengthened in faith and give You glory like Abraham. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Love One Another

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another - John 13:34-35.

1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 

2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 

3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body [to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.

4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 

5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, [c]thinks no evil; 

6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 

7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 

9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 

10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.

11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 

12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.

13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Guard Your Heart

                        Guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it - Proverbs 4:23.

A heart that trusts God

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths - Proverbs 3:5-7.

A heart that serves God

Serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul - Deuteronomy 11:13.

A heart that is pure

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God - Matthew 5:8. 

A heart that is at peace

A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones - Proverbs 14:30.

A heart that is happy

A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit - Proverbs 15:13.

A heart that is cheerful

A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones - Proverbs 17:22.

A heart that fears God and always keep all His commandments

Oh, that they had such a heart in them that they would fear Me and always keep all My commandments, that it might be well with them and with their children forever! - Deuteronomy 5:29.

A heart that is sincere

Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water - Hebrews 10:22.

A heart that is not troubled

Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me - John 14:1.

A heart that thinks carefully before speaking

The heart of the godly thinks carefully before speaking - Proverbs 15:28.

A heart that hides the Word of God

Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You - Psalm 119:11.

A heart that returns to God

Return to me with all your heart - Joel 2:12.

A heart that is wise and discerning

I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be - 1 Kings 3:12.

A heart that is clean

Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me - Psalm 51:10.

A heart that seeks God

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart - Jeremiah 29:13.

A heart that loves God

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength - Deuteronomy 6:5.

A heart that fears and serves God

Only fear the Lord, and serve Him in truth with all your heart - 1 Samuel 12:24.

A heart that obeys the voice of God

Return to the Lord your God, you and your children, and obey his voice in all that I command you today, with all your heart and with all your soul - Deuteronomy 30:2.

A heart that give thanks to God

I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart - Psalm 9:1. 

                                                                         

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Purify our heart. Let us guard our heart with things that please You as everything we do flows from our heart. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Our Soul Waits For The Lord

Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield - Psalm 33:20.

             God is our help and shield as our soul waits for Him. While waiting for Him, God wants us to wait patiently in silence by hoping in His word, praising Him and looking to Him with faith and courage. He is good to all those who wait for Him. The Lord is good to those who wait for Him - Lamentations 3:25.

Wait in silence for God only

My soul, wait in silence for God only, for my hope is from Him - Psalm 62:5.

Be still

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him - Psalm 37:7.

Hope in the Word

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, And in His word I do hope - Psalm 130:5.

Thank & praise God

Why, my soul, are you cast down? Why do you groan within me? Wait for God; I will yet thank Him, For He is my deliverance and my God - Psalm 42:11.

Look to the Lord

Therefore I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me - Micah 7:7.

Stand fast in the faith

Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong - 1 Corinthians 16:13.

Be of good courage

Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord! - Psalm 27:14.

Keep His way

Wait on the Lord, And keep His way, And He shall exalt you to inherit the land - Psalm 37:34.

Renew the strength

But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint - Isaiah 40:31.

Wait patiently

I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry - Psalm 40:1.

Daniel's Wisdom

For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding - Proverbs 2:6.

Daniel and his friends were ten times better in all matters of wisdom and understanding 

Then the king interviewed them, and among them all none was found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah; therefore they served before the king. And in all matters of wisdom and understanding about which the king examined them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers who were in all his realm - Daniel 1:19,20.

The king ordered the execution of all the wise men of Babylon for not telling him both the dream and its interpretation

This made the king so angry and furious that he ordered the execution of all the wise men of Babylon. So the decree was issued to put the wise men to death, and men were sent to look for Daniel and his friends to put them to death - Daniel 2:12,13.

Daniel spoke to Arioch with wisdom and tact and went to the king and asked for time

When Arioch, the commander of the king’s guard, had gone out to put to death the wise men of Babylon, Daniel spoke to him with wisdom and tact. He asked the king’s officer, “Why did the king issue such a harsh decree?” Arioch then explained the matter to Daniel. At this, Daniel went in to the king and asked for time, so that he might interpret the dream for him - Daniel 2:14-16.

Daniel turned to God in prayer by gathering his friends and urging them all to pray for God’s mercy and help in this situation

Then Daniel returned to his house and explained the matter to his friends Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah. He urged them to plead for mercy from the God of heaven concerning this mystery, so that he and his friends might not be executed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon - Daniel 2:17–18.

Daniel thanked and praised God for answering their prayer and giving him the wisdom and power to know the dream of the king

During the night the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven and said: “Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his. He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him. I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors: You have given me wisdom and power, you have made known to me what we asked of you, you have made known to us the dream of the king.” - Daniel 2:19-23.

Daniel and his friends promoted

The king answered Daniel, and said, “Truly your God is the God of gods, the Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, since you could reveal this secret.” Then the king promoted Daniel and gave him many great gifts; and he made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief administrator over all the wise men of Babylon. Also Daniel petitioned the king, and he set Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego over the affairs of the province of Babylon; but Daniel sat in the gate of the king - Daniel 2:47-49.

Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and the satraps because of an excellent spirit was in him

It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom one hundred and twenty satraps, to be over the whole kingdom; and over these, three governors, of whom Daniel was one, that the satraps might give account to them, so that the king would suffer no loss. Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm - Daniel 6:1-3.                                                                                                                

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the giver of wisdom. Give us wisdom, knowledge and understanding to be wise in all we do. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Seek The Lord And His Strength

                              Seek the Lord and His strength - Psalm 105:4. 

                God is our strength. The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation - Exodus 15:2. The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me - Psalm 28:7. God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble - Psalm 46:1.  

               God strengthens us and helps us in our troubles and weaknesses.  It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure - 2 Samuel 22:33. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you - Isaiah 41:10. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak - Isaiah 40:29.    

              When Sovereign Lord is our strength, He will make our feet like the feet of a deer and enable us to walk on the high places no matter the circumstancesThe Sovereign Lord is my strength; He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; He enables me to tread on the heights." – Habakkuk 3:19. 

               Let us seek the Lord and His strength. I can do all things through him who strengthens me - Philippians 4:13. But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me - 2 Timothy 4:17. I will go in the strength of the Lord God - Psalm 71:16. Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might - Ephesians 6:10. 

                                                                               

Prayer: Dear Lord, You are our strength. We thank You for Your strength that carried us through our troubled times. Let us always seek You and Your strength. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

The One Who Breaks Open The Way

The One who breaks open the way will go up before them - Micah 2:13.

             God did marvelous things for Israelites by miraculously parting the Red Sea that stood as an obstacle and opening a way for them. Marvelous things He did in the sight of their fathers, In the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan. He divided the sea and caused them to pass through; And He made the waters stand up like a heap - Psalm 78:12,13. Your path led through the sea, your way through the mighty waters - Psalm 77:19.  

                  God opened a new way in the Red Sea and the Israelites crossed the Red Sea by faith put into action. By faith the people crossed the Red Sea as on dry land, but the Egyptians, when they attempted to do the same, were drowned - Hebrews 11:29. Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided. So the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left - Exodus 14:21,22. 

              God who did marvelous works in the Red Sea by opening a way for Israelites will also break obstacles and open a way in our life too. Come and see the works of God; He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men. He turned the sea into dry land; They went through the river on foot. There we will rejoice in Him - Psalm 66:5,6. To Him who divided the Red Sea in two, For His mercy endures forever - Psalm 136:13.                                                                                                      

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the one who breaks open the way. We thank You for breaking obstacles in our life and opening a way for us. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

The Lord Is Good

                                                         The Lord is good - Nahum 1:7.

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. 1 Chronicles 16:34

And they sang responsively, praising and giving thanks to the Lord: “For He is good, for His mercy endures forever toward Israel.” Ezra 3:11

Good and upright is the Lord. Psalm 25:8

For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. Psalm 100:5 

The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works. Psalm 145:9

No one is good but One, that is, God. Mark 10:18

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Psalm 34:8

Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting. Psalm 100:4-5

You are good, and do good; teach me Your statutes. Psalm 119:68

Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever! Psalm 107:1

Worship And Sing Praises to God For Who He is

All the earth shall worship You And sing praises to You - Psalm 66:4.

Great

Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable - Psalm 145:3.

Faithful

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness - Lamentations 3:22,23.

Merciful

For the Lord your God is a merciful God. He will not leave you or destroy you or forget the covenant with your fathers that he swore to them - Deuteronomy 4:31.

Unchanging 

For I am the Lord, I do not change - Malachi 3:6.

Near

The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit - Psalm 34:18.

Just

He is the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, A God of truth and without injustice; Righteous and upright is He - Deuteronomy 32:4.

Wise

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! - Romans 11:33.

Good

The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him -  Nahum 1:7.

Gracious

The Lord is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy - Psalm 103:8.

Sovereign

The Lord has established His throne in heaven, And His kingdom rules over all - Psalm 103:19.

Holy

You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy - Leviticus 19:2b.

Shield

He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him - Proverbs 30:5. 

Helper

So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” - Hebrews 13:6.

Promise Keeper

God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? - Numbers 23:19.

The Promises of God

For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us - 2 corinthians 1:20.

God promises peace

You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You - Isaiah 26:3.

God promises guidance

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths - Proverbs 3:5,6.

God promises to never to leave us nor forsake us

And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed - Deuteronomy 31:8.

God promises renewal

But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint - Isaiah 40:31. 

God promises protection

For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways - Psalm 91:11.

God promises to hear our prayers

Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know - Jeremiah 33:3. 

God promises rest

 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest - Matthew 11:28.

God promises strength

Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand - Isaiah 41:8.

God promises to be with us

And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age - Matthew 28:20.

God promises victory over temptation

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it - 1 Corinthians 10:13.

God promises wisdom

 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind - James 1:5,6.

God promises hope

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope - Jeremiah 29:11.

God promises provision

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus - Philippians 4:19.

God promises a new heart

 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh - Ezekiel 36:26.

God promises eternal life

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life - John 3:16.
