Thank God For His Word

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart - Hebrews 4:12.

                 The word of God which is living and powerful gives us joy, great peace, guiding us, giving us light and understanding, refreshing us, giving us health, life and delight. Let us thank God for His Word that never fails and treasure it more than anything. For the word of God will never fail - Luke 1:37.  I rejoice at Your word as one who finds great treasure - Psalm 119:92. I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food - Jonah 23:12. Your Word I have treasured in my heart, That I may not sin against You - Psalm 119:11. 

 Joy 

Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart - Psalm 119:111.

Great Peace

Great Peace have those who love Your law, And nothing causes them to stumble - Psalm 119:165.

Guiding us

Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path - Psalm 119:105. Direct my steps by Your word - Psalm 119:133. 

Gives light & Understanding 

The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple - Psalm 119:130.

Refreshes the soul

The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul - Psalm 19:7a.

Health to flesh

Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh - Proverbs 4:20-22.

Life

Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God - Matthew 4:4.

Delight

When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your name, O Lord God Almighty - Jeremiah 15:16. If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction - Psalm 119:95.
