God's Love

     For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes                           in Him should not perish but have everlasting life - John 3:16.

                God demonstrated His own love toward us by sending his only begotten son for us.  But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us - Romans 5:8. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him - 1 John 4:9. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another - 1 John 4:10,11.     

                God's love for us is great and unfailing. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions - it is by grace you have been saved - Ephesians 2:4,5. How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! - 1 John 3:1. 'Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,' says the Lord, who has compassion on you - Isaiah 54:10. How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! - Psalm 36:7.

              Let us thank God for His great, unfailing and everlasting love for us. Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever - 1 Chronicles 16:34. I have loved you with an everlasting love - Jeremiah 31:3. The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness - Lamentations 3:22-23.                                                                                                                          

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Your love is great, unfailing and everlasting. We thank You for sending Your only begotten son for us. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
