The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness - Isaiah 61:3.
Our
God inhabits the praises of His people. But You are holy, enthroned in the
praises of Israel - Psalm 22:3. David chose to praise God in the midst of all his
circumstances. Paul remembered the faithfulness of God and praised Him. Paul
and Silas praised God in prison. Let us hope in God and praise Him as our help
is from the Lord. Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted
within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance
and my God - Psalm 43:5.
Let us continually offer the
sacrifice of praise to God. Therefore by Him let us continually offer the
sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to
His name - Hebrews 13:15. I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall
continually be in my mouth - Psalm 34:1. Everyday I will bless You and praise
Your name forever - Psalm 145:2. Seven times a day I praise You,
Because of Your righteous judgments - Psalm 119:164.
Let us
put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. Our
praises silence the enemies. Through the praise of children and infants you
have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the
avenger - Psalm 8:2. O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise,
even with my glory. Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early. I will
praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among
the nations - Psalm 108:1-3.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for
giving us the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. In Jesus’ name we
pray. Amen.
