For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6.
Our God is wonderful in counsel. This also comes from the Lord of hosts, Who is wonderful in counsel and excellent in guidance - Isaiah 28:29. O Lord, You are my God. I will exalt You, I will praise Your name, For You have done wonderful things; Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth - Isaiah 25:1.
God is our counselor and His counsel will stand forever. Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure - Isaiah 46:10. I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel; My heart also instructs me in the night seasons - Psalm 16:7.
God’s Word will teach us, counsel us and guide us. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path - Psalm 119:105. Direct my steps by Your word - Psalm 119:133. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye - Proverbs 32:8. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths - Proverbs 3:6.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are our Counselor. We thank You for Your counsels. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
