I am the LORD, your Holy One, The Creator of Israel, your King." Thus says the LORD, Who makes a way through the sea and a path through the mighty waters" - Isaiah 43:15-16.
God made a way through the sea and a path through the mighty waters for the Israelites. Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the LORD drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided, and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left - Exodus 14:21-22.
After God says that He will make a way in Isaiah 43:16, He instructs His people to forget the former things and not to dwell on the past. Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:18-19.
Let us forget the former things and do not dwell on the past. We need only to be still and see the deliverance as God will fight for us and make a way for us. Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still - Exodus 14:13-14.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us forget the former things and do not dwell on the past as You are making a new way through the sea and a path through the mighty waters for us. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
