Immanuel: God With Us

Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel - Isaiah 7:14.

Jesus Christ is our Immanuel, God with us. “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us” - Mathew 1:23. There is no room for fear in us as God is with us. Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand - Isaiah 41:10.

God is with us to guide us and teach us in the way we should go. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye - Psalm 32:8. He is with us to protect us. The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge - Psalm 46:7. I will fear no evil; For You are with me - Psalm 23: 4. He will never leave us nor forsake us. He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you - Deuteronomy 31:6.

We can never expect anyone to be with us in all our situations except our God, Immanuel. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you - Isaiah 43:2. He is in our midst. The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save - Zephaniah 3:17. I will live with them and walk among them - 2 Corinthians 6:16. He is with us always. I am with you always, even to the end of the age - Mathew 28:20.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for being with us always. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

The God of Hope

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit - Romans 15:13.

Jesus Christ is our hope. He came down to earth as Savior to give us hope. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead - 1 Peter 1:3. Christ is in us is the hope of glory. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory - Colossians 1:27.

There is a great hope for the children of God. Now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as He is - 1 John 3:2. He is our blessed hope. We wait for the blessed hope - the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ Let Your mercy, O Lord, be upon us, just as we hope in You - Psalm 33:22.

God gives us hope in all hopeless situations. Put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is unfailing love and with him is full redemption - Psalm 130:7. No matter how dark the situations are in the world, let us not fear as our only hope is in the Lord. May the God of hope fill us with joy and peace as we place all our hope on Him. Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him - Psalm 62:5.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the God of hope. Help us to place all our hope in You in all situations. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Peace On Earth

Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men! - Luke 2:14.

Peace with God

The birth of Jesus brought peace on earth. But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed - Isaiah 43:5. We have peace with God. Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ - Romans 5:1.

Peace in us

God has given us His peace which the world can never give us. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you - John 14:27. Let the peace of God be in us always. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus - Philippians 4:6,7.

Peace with others

Peace on earth starts with us. Let us live peaceably with all people. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men - Romans 12:18. Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God - Mathew 5:9. May the God of peace be with us. Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all - 2 Thessalonians 3:16.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the God of peace. We thank You for coming to this world and giving Your peace. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Joy To The World

Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth; Break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises - Psalm 98:4.

The birth of Jesus brought great joy to the world.  But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is the Messiah, the Lord" - Luke 2:10,11. The shepherd and the wise men were filled with great joy when they heard about the birth of Jesus. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy - Mathew 2:10.

Our God is the king who rules and reigns over the earth. He had given us the joy of salvation. Restore to me the joy of your salvation - Psalm 51:12. We have an everlasting joy as we have accepted Christ as our Savior. And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, And come to Zion with singing, With everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, And sorrow and sighing shall flee away - Isaiah 35:10.

There is fullness of joy in the presence of God. In Your presence is fullness of joy - Psalm 16:11. We can be filled with joy in all circumstances as we are in Christ. My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials - James 1:2. Let us spread this great joy to others so that they will prepare their hearts to receive Christ as king. With trumpets and the sound of a horn; Shout joyfully before the Lord, the King - Psalm 98:6.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for filling us with an everlasting joy. Help everyone’s heart to receive You as king. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Reckless Love of God

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life - John 3:16.

God’s love towards us is unconditional, immeasurable and everlasting. I have loved you with an everlasting love - Jeremiah 31:3. He loved us so much that He sent His one and only son to the world that we might live through Him. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him - 1 John 4:9.

God’s love is so great that He shed His blood on the cross to pay for our sins. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.  Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another - 1 John 4:10,11. Though we don’t deserve, He loved us and gave His life for us. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us - Romans 5:8.

God has given us the gift of eternal life with love. Let us spread the love of God that has been poured out in our hearts by the Hoy Spirit to others. The love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us - Romans 5:5. Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ - 2 Thessalonians 3:5. We love Him because He first loved us - 1 John 4:19.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for Your reckless love towards us that is never ending. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Four Dreams of Joseph

Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it - Luke 11:28.

God spoke to Joseph through dreams. When Joseph was thinking about putting Mary away secretly, God spoke to him in a dream. But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit - Mathew 1:20.

God warned Joseph in a dream to take Mary and the child Jesus and flee to Egypt. Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him” - Mathew 2:13.

God also spoke to Joseph in a dream to go to the land of Israel as Herod was dead. Now when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, and go to the land of Israel” - Mathew 2:19,20.  When Joseph was concerned about going to Israel, God again warned in dream to move to Galilee. And being warned by God in a dream, he turned aside into the region of Galilee - Mathew 2:22.

Joseph always obeyed to God’s directions that was given to him through dreams. As Joseph obeyed, God’s plan of sending Jesus as the Savior of the world was fulfilled. God speaks to us also to direct us in the way we should go. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you - Psalm 32:8. Let us obey the voice of God and walk according to it so that His plans for us will be fulfilled.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to always obey when You speak to us. In Jesus’ name we pray.

Nothing Is Impossible For God

For with God nothing will be impossible - Luke 1:37.

The angel Gabriel greeted Mary and told her that she had found favor with God. Then the angel of the Lord told her about the plan of God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus - Luke 1:31. Mary was troubled at his words and wondered how it can happen to her. Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?” - Luke 1:34.

God reminded Mary that nothing will be impossible with Him. Immediately, Mary believed the word of God and submitted herself to His will. For nothing will be impossible with God. And Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word” - Luke 1:37-38. There is nothing too hard for the Lord. He calls those things which do not exist as though they did - Romans 4:17.

God’s promises never fail. For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us - 2 Corinthians 1:20. All things are possible with God. Like Mary, let us also submit ourselves to the will of God with faith. But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible” - Mathew 19:26.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, With You all things are possible. We submit ourselves to Your will. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
