Overcome Satan By The Word of God

The word of God abides in you, And you have overcome the wicked one - 1 John 2:14(b).

God's Word is the sword of the spirit which we can use like a sword to fight against Satan. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God - Ephesians 6:17. For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart - Hebrews 4:12.

Jesus overcame all the temptations of devil by the Word of God. Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God’” - Mathew 4:4. Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God’ - Mathew 4:7. Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve’” - Mathew 4:10. Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him - Mathew 4:11.

Let us overcome the devil with the word of God like Jesus. They may know the truth, and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil - 2 Timothy 2:25,26. You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free - John 8:32. Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you - James 4:7.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to overcome the devil by Your powerful Word that is shaper than any two- edged sword. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Faith To Be Healed

Paul looked directly at him, saw that he had faith to be healed and called out, “Stand up on your feet!” At that, the man jumped up and began to walk - Acts 14:10.

Lame man in Lystra healed

A lame man who had never walked from birth began to walk when listening to the speech of Paul as he had faith to be healed. In Lystra there sat a man who was lame. He had been that way from birth and had never walked. He listened to Paul as he was speaking. Paul looked directly at him, saw that he had faith to be healed and called out, “Stand up on your feet!” At that, the man jumped up and began to walk - Acts 14:8-10.

Blind man Bartimaeus healed

The faith of the blind man Bartimaeus healed him and brought sight to him. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (which means “son of Timaeus”), was sitting by the roadside begging. When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” - Mark 10:46,47. “Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road - Mark 10:52.

Woman with the issue of blood healed

A woman with the issue of blood for twelve years was healed when she touched the garment of Jesus with faith. When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction - Mark 5 :27-29.  And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction” - Mark 5:34.

Let our faith bring healing and miracles in our life. For we walk by faith, not by sight - 2 Corinthians 5:7. The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven - James 5:15. He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them. He was amazed at their lack of faith - Mark 6:5,6. Faith comes by hearing the word of God. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God - Romans 10:17.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us be healed by our faith. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

God Who Had Gone Through Temptation And Suffering Is Able To Help Us

Since He himself had gone through temptation and suffering, He is able to help us when we are being tempted - Hebrews 2:18.

Jesus overcame the temptation of devil by the Word of God. Man shall not live by bread alone; but lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord - Deuteronomy 8:3. You shall not tempt the LORD your God - Deuteronomy 6:16. You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve - Deuteronomy 6:16. Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you - James 4:7.

Christ suffered for us to leave us an example. For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps - 1 Peter 2:21. For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit - 1 Peter 3:18. He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. Though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered - Hebrews 5:8.

Christ who had gone through temptation and sufferings is able to help us when we are being tempted. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need - Hebrews 4:15,16.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for helping us when we are being tempted. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

In The Cross

But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world - Galatians 6:14.

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God - 1 Corinthians 1:18.

Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God - Hebrews 12:2.

For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, 20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross - Colossians 1:19,20.

And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross - Colossians 2:13,14.

Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed - 1 Peter 2:24.

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross - Philippians 2:5-8.

And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple - Luke 14:27.

Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me” - Matthew 16:24.

He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity - Ephesians 2:14-16.

Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me - Luke 9:23.

PRAYER : Dear Lord, We thank You for enduring the cross for us to live. Let our glory be in the cross ever. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Fruit of The Spirit - PEACE

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,  kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control -  Galatians 5:22.

Seek peace and pursue it – 1 Peter 3:11.

Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord - Hebrews 12:14.

If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone - Romans 12:18.

Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace - Ephesians 4:3.

Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God - Matthew 5:9.

Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace - James 3:18.

Great peace have those who love Your law, And nothing causes them to stumble - Psalm 119:165.

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You - Isaiah 26:3.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus - Philippians 4:6-7.

These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world - John 16:33.

Be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless - 2 Peter 3:14.

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful - Colossians 3:15.

My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, In secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places - Isaiah 32:18.

The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed - Isaiah 53:5.

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid - John 14:27.

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace - Numbers 6:24-26.

Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all - 2 Thessalonians 3:16.

The Lord will bless His people with peace - Psalm 29:11.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to be peaceful and pursue peace with all people. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Not To Do My Own Will But The Will of The Father

For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me - John 6:38.

Jesus came to the world to do the will of Father and He said that doing the will of the Father is His food. Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work” - John 4:34. He prayed and submitted to the will of the Father in the garden of Gethsemane. He knelt down and prayed, saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” - Luke 22:41.

We cannot enter the kingdom of heaven unless we do the will of God. Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’  Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ - Matthew 7:21-23.

Let us submit ourselves to do the will of God that is good, pleasing and perfect. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will - Romans 12:2. Therefore, do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is - Ephesians 5:17. Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God - Psalm 143:10.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We surrender ourselves to do Your will. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Draw Near To God, Cleanse Your Hands And Purify Your Hearts

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded - James 4:8.

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you

God will draw near to us as we draw near to Him with a true heart. These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me - Mathew 15:8. Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water - Hebrews 10:22. The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth - Psalm 145:18.

Cleanse your hands, you sinners

We cannot ascend into the hill of the Lord or stand in His holy place and receive blessing from Him unless we have clean hands and pure heart. Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart. He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation - Psalm 24:3,4. The Lord has dealt with me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands he has rewarded me - Psalm 18:20.

 Purify your hearts, you double-minded

We are so blessed when our heart is pure as we shall see God. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God - Matthew 5:8. God will not hear us if we regard iniquity in our heart. If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear - Psalm 66:18. Truly God is good to Israel, to such as are pure in heart - Psalm 73:1. Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me - Psalm 51:10.

Let us draw near to God with clean hands and pure heart!!

The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin - 1 John 1:7.

Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth - John 17:17.

PRAYER: Dear Lord,  Help us to draw near to You with clean hands and pure heart. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
