If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us - 1 John 4:12.
God abides in us and His love is perfected in us if we love one another. If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? - 1 John 4:20. Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things - 1 Corinthians 13:4-7..
Let us love others not with words but with
actions. Let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth - 1
John 3:18. What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have
faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without
clothes and daily food. If one of you
says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about
their physical needs, what good is it?
In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is
dead - James 2:14-17.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help
us to love one another fervently. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
