1 Corinthians 13
1.Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to love others like how You loved us. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

you one way and flee before you seven ways - Deuteronomy 28:7. No weapon formed
against you shall prosper - Isaiah 54:17. Finally, my brethren, be strong in
the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you
may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil - Ephesians 6:10,11.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to draw near to You. We
submit ourselves into Your hands and resist the devil. In Jesus’ name we pray.
Amen.
Trust in the Lord with
all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways
acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths - Proverbs 3:5,6.
Trust in the Lord with
all your heart
God directs our paths as we
trust in Him. Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before
Him - Psalm 62:8. Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You - Psalm 56:3. Blessed
is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord - Jeremiah 17:7. But
as for me, I trust in You, O Lord; I say, “You are my God” - Psalm 31:15.
Lean not on your own
understanding
God’s understanding is infinite. Great is our
Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite - Psalm 147:5. For My
thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. For
as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts - Isaiah 55:8,9.
In all your ways
acknowledge Him
Let us commit all our ways to the Lord.
Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass -
Psalm 37:5. A man’s steps are of the Lord; How then can a man understand his
own way? - Proverbs 20:24. The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And
He delights in his way - Psalm 37:23.
He shall direct your
paths
God’s Word will direct our steps. Direct
my steps by Your word, And let no iniquity have dominion over me - Psalm
119:133. Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path - Psalm 119:105. He will guide us and direct us. I
will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with
My eye - Psalm 32:8. The Lord will guide you continually - Isaiah 58:11.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Direct
our paths. We trust in You and acknowledge You in all our ways. In Jesus’ name
we pray. Amen.
There is no one holy like
the Lord; there is no one besides you, there is no Rock like our God - 1 Samuel
2:1-2.
There is no one holy like
the Lord
Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;
The whole earth is full of His glory! - Isaiah 6:3. Let them praise your great
and awesome name - he is holy - Psalm 99:3. Exalt the Lord our God and worship
at his footstool; he is holy - Psalm 99:5. Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my
inmost being, praise his holy name - Psalm 103:1. Be holy, because I am holy -
1 Peter 1:16.
There is no one besides
you
Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one! - Deuteronomy 6:4.
Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: ‘I
am the first and I am the last, And there is no God besides Me’ - Isaiah 44:6. For
You are great and do wondrous deeds; You alone are God - Psalm 86:10.
There is no Rock like our
God
For who is God, except the LORD? And
who is a rock, except our God? - Psalm 18: 31. For who is God, but the Lord? And
who is a rock, except our God - Psalm 18:31. My salvation and my honor depend
on God; He is my mighty rock, my refuge - Psalm 62:7. The Lord is my rock and
my fortress and my deliverer - Psalm 18:2.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, There
is none like You. We thank You and praise Your Holy name. In Jesus’ name we
pray. Amen.
Therefore you shall be
perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect - Matthew 5:48.
Our God is perfect. He is the Rock, His work
is perfect; For all His ways are justice, A God of truth and without injustice;
Righteous and upright is He - Deuteronomy 32:4.
As for God, His way is perfect - Psalm 18:30. To become perfect like Christ, our character needs to be
changed. Therefore be imitators of God as dear
children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for
us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma - Ephesians 5:1,2.
We will be perfect like our Father when
we bless those who curse us, do good to those who hate us and pray for those
who persecute us. But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse
you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you
and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes
His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the
unjust. Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is
perfect - Matthew 5:44,45.48.
God will help us in our weaknesses and
make us perfect as we approach Him. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot
sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet
without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may
obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need - Hebrews 4:15,16. The
Spirit also helps us in our weaknesses - Romans 8:26.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help
us to be perfect just as You are perfect. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
