And she said, “Let your maidservant find favor in your sight.” So the woman went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad - 1 Samuel 1:18.
Hannah was no longer sad after she
had poured out her heart to God. But have poured out my soul before the Lord -
1 Samuel 1:15. She prayed for God to give her a child. And she was in
bitterness of soul, and prayed to the Lord and wept in anguish. Then she made a
vow and said, “O Lord of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of
Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will
give Your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the Lord all the
days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his head” - 1 Samuel 1:10,11.
God answered the prayer of Hannah and blessed her with Samuel who became the great prophet of Israel. For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him - 1 Samuel 1: 27. Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest - Matthew 11:28. Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? - Matthew 6:27. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things - Mathew 6:34.
Like Hannah, let us pour out our heart to God and bring all our needs to Him. Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you - 1 Peter 5:7. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus - Philippians 4:6,7.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to cast all our
cares upon You and be glad. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
