Be Perfect

 Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect - Matthew 5:48.

              Our God is perfect. He is the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, A God of truth and without injustice; Righteous and upright is He - Deuteronomy 32:4.  As for God, His way is perfect - Psalm 18:30.  To become perfect like Christ, our character needs to be changed. Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma - Ephesians 5:1,2.

               We will be perfect like our Father when we bless those who curse us, do good to those who hate us and pray for those who persecute us. But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect - Matthew 5:44,45.48.    

                God will help us in our weaknesses and make us perfect as we approach Him. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need - Hebrews 4:15,16. The Spirit also helps us in our weaknesses - Romans 8:26.
