Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful - Hebrews 10:23.
Abraham did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, instead he grew strong in faith and gave glory to God irrespective of situations during the waiting period. He did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body, which was as good as dead (since he was about a hundred years old), or when he considered the barrenness of Sarah's womb. No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised. - Romans 4:19-21.
Abraham received what God promised him by waiting patiently. When God made His promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for him to swear by, he swore by himself, saying, “I will surely bless you and give you many descendants.” And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised - Hebrews 6:13-15. I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me and heard my cry - Psalm 40:1.
Like Abraham, let us also grow strong in faith and give glory to God irrespective of situations while waiting for God's promise to be fulfilled. But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint - Isaiah 40:31. Be still, and know that I am God - Psalm 46:10. May we hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the Promise keeper. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering and be strengthened in faith and give glory to You irrespective of our situations. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
