But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head - Psalm 3:3.
You, O Lord, are a shield around me
God is a shield around us. He totally surrounds us and protects us like a shield. He is a shield to all who trust in Him - Psalm 18:30. But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you - Psalm 5:11.
You are my glory
God alone is our glory. The Lord will be to you an everlasting light, And your God your glory - Isaiah 60:19. For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming? For you are our glory and joy - 1 Thessalonians 2:19–20.
The one who lifts up my head
God is the one who lifts up our head above our enemies. And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me, and I will offer in his tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing and make melody to the Lord - Psalm 27:5-6.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for being a shield around us, our glory and the one who lifts up our head. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
