Three Wise Men

 Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews?" - Mathew 2:1,2.

                 When Jesus was born in Bethlehem in the days of king Herod, three wise men came in search of him. They searched eagerly to find where Jesus was born as king. The star led the wise men to the place where the Jesus was born. Behold, the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came and stood over where the young Child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy - Mathew 2:9,10.

                   The three wise men gave their time, talents and treasures to seek God. They had journeyed far to see the Child by spending their time. They followed the star to find Jesus by their gift of talent. They also brought Him gifts by offering their best to God. And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh - Mathew 2:11. When they saw the child, they worshiped Him and presented gifts to Him.

               Like the Wise Men, let us also seek God and His presence. Like how they followed the star to see the Christ, let us also follow the word of God which is the lamp to our feet and light to path. May we use our time, talents and treasures for the glory of God. God will guide us, lead us and sustain us in our life journey. The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising - Isaiah 60:3.                                           

                                      

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us seek You and use our time, talents and treasures for Your glory. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
