God Calls Those Things Which Do Not Exist As Though They Did

God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did - Romans 4:17.

God called Abraham as father of many nations even when Abraham’s body and Sarah’s womb were dead. No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations - Genesis 17:5. Abraham believed that what God had promised him would come to life. Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness - Romans 4:3. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed - John 20:29.

Abraham became the father of many nations as spoken by God. He became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.” And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness.” - Romans 4:18-22.

With faith, let us speak to things that do not exist in our life as things are possible with God. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen- Hebrews 11:1. For we walk by faith, not by sight - 2 Corinthians 5:7. For with God nothing will be impossible - Luke 1:37. And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak- 2 Corinthians 4:13.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the God of impossible. We believe that things that do not exist in our life will come to life. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
