It Is Good To Wait Quietly For The Salvation of The Lord

It is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord - Lamentations 3:6.

Help, Shield & Hope

It is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord as He is our help, shield and only hope. Our soul waits for the LORD; he is our help and our shield - Psalm 33:20. For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him - Psalm 62:5.

Guides us

God guides us as we wait for Him. Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long - Psalm 25:4-5.

Hears us

God hears us as we wait quietly for Him. I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps - Psalm 40:1,2.

Strength renewed

Our strength is renewed as we wait for Him. But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint - Isaiah 40:31.

Let us wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; my soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning - Psalm 130:5–6. Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; Wait for the LORD! - Psalm 27:14. Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the LORD! - Psalm 31:2.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us wait quietly for Your salvation. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. I will never leave you nor forsake you - Deuteronomy 31:6.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me - Psalm 23:4.

God never leaves us but with us in all circumstances

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge - Psalm 46:7.

You Are My Shield My Glory And The Lifter of My Head

But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head - Psalm 3:3.

My shield

God is our shield. My shield is God Most High, who saves the upright in heart - Psalm 7:10. You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your word - Psalm 119:114. He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him - Proverbs 30:5.

My glory

The one who lifts up my head

God is the lifter of our head. Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time - 1 Peter 5:6. And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord - Psalm 27:6.

Speak The Name of Jesus

And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover - Mark 16:17,18.

Cast out demons

There is power in the name of Jesus. But Paul, greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And he came out that very hour - Acts 16:18. The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name” - Luke 10:17.

No harm

Nothing can harm us in the name of Jesus. But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat, and fastened on his hand. But he shook off the creature into the fire and suffered no harm - Acts 28:3,5.

Healing the sick

There is healing in the name of Jesus. Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength - Acts 3:6,7.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Your name is above every name. We speak Your name in our life. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies - Psalm 18:1-3.

Let us trust the name of the Lord, a strong tower. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we trust in the name of the Lord our God - Psalm 20:7. No enemy can enter our life as the Lord is our strong tower. He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge - Psalm 91:4.                   God is our deliverer. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer - 2 Samuel 22:2. Cry Out To The Lord

Consecrate a fast, Call a sacred assembly; Gather the elders And all the inhabitants of the land Into the house of the Lord your God, And cry out to the Lord - Joel 1:14.

God hears us as we cry out to Him. In my distress I called upon the LordAnd cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, And my cry came before Him, even to His ears - Psalm 18:6. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them - Psalm 145:19. He hears the cry of righteous and humble. The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles - Psalm 34:17. He does not forget the cry of the humble - Psalm 9:12.

God heard the cry of Israelites when they cried out in affliction. Then the children of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry came up to God because of the bondage. So God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God acknowledged - Exodus 2:23-25. You saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, And heard their cry by the Red Sea - Nehemiah 9:9. When I cry out to You, Then my enemies will turn back; This I know, because God is for me - Psalm 56:9.

Let us cry out to God who hears us. I cried out to God with my voice - To God with my voice; And He gave ear to me - Psalm 77:1. Their heart cried out to the Lord, “O wall of the daughter of Zion, Let tears run down like a river day and night; Give yourself no relief; Give your eyes no rest.”  Arise, cry out in the night, At the beginning of the watches; Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift your hands toward Him - Lamentations 2:18.19.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank you for hearing us as we cry out. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Faith In The Power of God

Your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God - 1 Corinthians 2:5.

Our God is all-powerful and His power is unlimited. God is all-powerful - Job 36:22. Our faith should be in the unlimited power of God but not in our limited wisdom as He is able to give life to the dead and raise up children to Abraham even from stones. God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did - Romans 4:17. For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones - Matthew 3:9.

Abraham had faith in the power of God that God was able to perform what He had promised in his life. And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform - Romans 4:19-21.

Let our faith be in the power of God instead of our situation and wisdom. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think - Ephesians 3:20. Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water - Hebrews 10:22.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let our faith be in your power and not in our wisdom. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Always Sing Praises And Give Thanks To God

Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ - Ephesians 5:19-20.

Paul and Silas praised God

Paul and Silas were faithful to God even when they were in prison. They sang hymns and thanked God at midnight. But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them - Acts 16:25.

Chains fell off

The chains were loosed as Paul and Silas started praising God. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed - Acts 16:25,26.

Lives changed

The jailer was saved along with this family. The jailer brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God - he and his whole household - Acts 16:34.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us always sing praises and give thanks to You. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

The God of All Grace

But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you - 1 Peter 5:10.

Our God is gracious and we are saved by His grace. The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy - Psalm 145:8. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God - Ephesians 2:8. For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men - Titus 2:11. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace - Ephesians 1:7. Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus - Romans 3:24.

God’s grace is sufficient for us to have sufficiency in all things. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work - 2 Corinthians 9:8. My grace is sufficient for you for My strength is made perfect in weakness - 2 Corinthians 12:9.

May the God of all grace perfect us, establish us, strengthen us, settle us and multiply grace in our life in abundance. Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord - 2 Peter1:2. For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ - Romans 5:17. And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace - John 1:16.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the God of all grace. We thank You for Your abundant grace in our life. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

The Lord Is With You, Mighty Warrior

The Lord is with you, mighty warrior - Judges 6:12.

Go in the strength you have

The angel called Gideon as mighty warrior and told him to go in the strength he has to save Israel from the hand of Midianites. The Lord turned to him and said, “Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?” .“Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “but how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.” - Judges 6:14, 15. My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness - 2 Corinthians 12:9.

I will be with you

The Lord told Gideon that He will be with him when he wondered how can he save Israel from the hand of  Midianites. The Lord answered, “I will be with you, and you will strike down all the Midianites, leaving none alive.” - Judges 6:16. They will fight against you, But they shall not prevail against you. For I am with you,” says the Lord, “to deliver you.” - Jeremiah 1:19. For the Lord your God is He who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you - Deuteronomy 2:4.

Mighty Warrior

Gideon saved Israel from the hand of Midianites with just three hundred men. When the three hundred blew the trumpets, the Lord set every man’s sword against his companion throughout the whole camp; and the army fled to Beth Acacia, toward Zererah, as far as the border of Abel Meholah, by Tabbath - Judges 7:22. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty - 1 Corinthians 1:27.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We are mighty warriors as You are with us. Let us go in the strength we have as Your grace is sufficient for us. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Time To Arise

Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you - Isaiah 60:1.

Saul

Saul arose and preached the Christ in synagogues when he heard the voice of Jesus. So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?”. Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.” - Acts 9:6. Immediately he preached the Christ in the synagogues, that He is the Son of God - Acts 9:20.

Jonah

Jonah arose and went to Nineveh when God told him to preach Nineveh the second time.“Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach to it the message that I tell you.” So Jonah arose and went to Nineveh, according to the word of the Lord - Jonah 3:2,3.

Nehemiah

Nehemiah arose to rebuild the fallen walls of Jerusalem when he was commissioned by God. So they said, “Let us rise up and build.” Then they set their hands to this good work - Nehemiah 2:18.

Let us arise to build the fallen walls and shine for the glory of the Lord. Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light - Ephesians 5:14. Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature - Mark 16:15.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us arise and shine for Your glory. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Set A Guard, O Lord, Over My Mouth

Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips - Psalm 141:3.

We need to speak slowly as we have to give account of every idle word we speak in the day of judgment. Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry - James 1:19. He who has knowledge spares his words, And a man of understanding is of a calm spirit - Proverbs 17:27. But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment - Matthew 12:36.

Speaking pleasant, wise, kind and gracious words builds others and gives grace to others. The words of a wise man’s mouth are gracious - Ecclesiastes 10:12. Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones - Proverbs 16:24. Find opportunities to speak kind and tenderhearted words - Ephesians 4:32. Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers -  Ephesians 4:29. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone - Colossians 4:6.

Let our mouth be always filled with praises and thanksgiving. My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord - Psalm 145:21. I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth. Psalm 34:1. Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ - Ephesians 5:19,20.

Let us preserve our life by guarding our mouth. Whoever guards his mouth and tongue keeps his soul from troubles - Proverbs 21:23. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit. Proverbs 18:21. Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent, and discerning if they hold their tongues - Proverbs 17:28. He who guards his mouth preserves his life, But he who opens wide his lips shall have destruction - Proverbs 13:3.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Set a guard, O Lord, over our mouth and keep watch over the door of our lips. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

My Grace Is Sufficient For You

My grace is sufficient for you - 2 Corinthians 12:9.

God’s grace is sufficient and enough for us as His strength is made perfect in our weakness. My strength is made perfect in weakness - 2 Corinthians 12:9. He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength - Isaiah 40:29. For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace - John 1:16.

Let us delight in our weaknesses as God’s grace is able to supply all our needs. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong - 2 Corinthians 12:9, 10. He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world - 1 John 4:4.

Let us praise the Lord for His abundant grace towards us. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work - 2 Corinthians 9:8. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God - 2 Corinthians 1:3,4.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You as Your grace is sufficient for us and Your strength is made perfect in our weaknesses. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
