Sing To The Lord For He Has Done Glorious Things

Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world - Isaiah 12:5.

Praise God - For making all things new

See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland - Isaiah 43:19.

I will open rivers in desolate heights, And fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, And the dry land springs of water. I will plant in the wilderness the cedar and the acacia tree, The myrtle and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the cypress tree and the pine And the box tree together - Isaiah 41:18,19.

Praise God  - For making the crooked places straight

I will go before you And make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze And cut the bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness And hidden riches of secret places, That you may know that I, the Lord, Who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel - Isaiah 45:2,3.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart  and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight - Proverbs 3:5,6.

Praise God - For making darkness light before us

Let them give glory to the Lord, And declare His praise in the coastlands. I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, And crooked places straight. These things I will do for them - Isaiah 42:12, 16.

Praise God -  For making us head not the tail

And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them - Deuteronomy 28:11-13.

Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth - Deuteronomy 28:1.

Praise God -  For making us prosperous & successful

The Lord your God will make you most prosperous in all the work of your hands and in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your land - Deuteronomy 30:9.

Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success - Joshua 1:7,8.

Praise God - For making us to increase & multiply

Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl - Deuteronomy 28:4,5.

The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you. And the Lord will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you. The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow - Deuteronomy 28:11,12.

For I will look on you favorably and make you fruitful, multiply you and confirm My covenant with you - Leviticus 26:9.

Praise God -  For making our enemies to be defeated before us

The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways - Deuteronomy 28:7

You will chase your enemies, and they shall fall by the sword before you. Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; your enemies shall fall by the sword before you - Leviticus 26:7,8.

Praise God -  For making us to stay safe

You shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely. I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none will make you afraid; I will rid the land of evil beasts, and the sword will not go through your land - Leviticus 26:5,6.

No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go - Joshua 1:5,9.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You and praise You for doing glorious things in our life throughout this year. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

God Restored Us Everything

I will restore to you - Joel 2:25.

Instead of your shame there shall be a double portion; instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their lot; therefore in their land they shall possess a double portion; they shall have everlasting joy - Isaiah 61:7.

“For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal,” declares the Lord, “because they have called you an outcast: ‘It is Zion, for whom no one cares!’” - Jeremiah 30:17.

And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job, when he had prayed for his friends. And the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before - Job 42:10.

Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit - Psalm 51:12.

He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake - Psalm 23:3.

Return to your stronghold, O prisoners of hope; today I declare that I will restore to you double - Zechariah 9:12.

Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all - 1 Samuel 30:8.

To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified - Isaiah 61:3.

Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. You will increase my honor and comfort me once more - Psalm 71:20,21.

I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. And my people shall never again be put to shame - Joel 2:25-26.

When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dreamed. Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations,  “The Lord has done great things for them.”  The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy - Psalm 126:1-3.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You and praise You for restoring us everything we have lost and filling our mouth with laughter and our tongues with songs of joy. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

You Have Surrounded Me On Every Side, Behind Me And Before Me

You have surrounded me on every side, behind me and before me, and You have placed Your hand gently on my shoulder - Psalm 135:7.

God surrounded us on every side, behind us, and before us and protected us from all harm. As the mountains surround Jerusalem so the Lord surrounds His people from this time forth and forevermore - Psalm 125:2. The angel of the LORD surrounds those who fear him, and he delivers them - Psalm 34:7. For surely, O LORD, You bless the righteous; You surround them with Your favor as with a shield - Psalm 5:12.

No harm can come near us as God surrounds us and delivers us from snare of fowler and from the perilous pestilenceSurely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked - Psalm 91:3-8.

God who is our hiding place, protects us from all trouble and surrounds us with songs of deliveranceYou are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance - Psalm 32:7. The LORD will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul. The LORD will guard your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forever - Psalm 121:7–8. Keep me as the apple of Your eye; Hide me under the shadow of Your wings - Psalm 17:8.

Let us thank God who surrounded us on every side, behind us, and before us and protected us from all harm. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night. - Psalm 121:3-6. Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways - Psalm91:9-11.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank you for surrounding us on every side, behind us, and before us and protecting us from all harm. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Today In The Town of David A Savior Has Been Born To You

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great            joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is                                             the Messiah, the Lord" - Luke 2:10,11.

She will bring forth a Son

And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins. Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” - Matthew 1:21,23. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David - Luke 1:32.

She brought forth her firstborn Son

And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn - Luke 2:7. And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger - Luke 2:16. But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law - Galatians 4:4. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth - John 1:14.

God loved us and sent His Son to save us

Let us praise God our Savior who came to the world to save us and thank God for His love for usFor the son of man came to seek and to save the lost - Luke 19:10. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life - John 3:16. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins - 1 John 4:9,10.

Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men! - Luke 2:14.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank and praise You for Your love for us. We thank You for coming to the world to save us. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

If God So Loved Us We Also Ought To Love One Another

Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another - 1 John 4:11.

If God so loved us

God so loved the world that He gave His only son that we might not perish but live through Him and have an everlasting life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life - John 3:16. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins - 1 John 4:9,10.

We also ought to love one another

God commands us to love one another as we are born of God when we love one another. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you - John 15:12. We love Him because He first loved us, If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also - 1 John 4:17-21. Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God - 1 John 4:7.

Let us thank God for His great love for us and if God so loved us, let us also love one another. I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me - Galatians 2:20. How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! - 1 John 3:1. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love - 1 John 4:8. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us, and his love is made complete in us - 1 John 4:12.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for Your great love towards us. We thank You for sending Your only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through You. Let us also love one another like how You loved us. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Sing To God Sing Praises To His Name

Sing to God, sing praises to His name - Psalm 68:4.

1) Elizabeth’s song

And it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, that the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. Then she spoke out with a loud voice and said, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! But why is this granted to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For indeed, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord.”- Luke 1:41-45.

2) Mary’s song

And Mary said: “My soul magnifies the Lord, And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant; For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed. For He who is mighty has done great things for me, And holy is His name. And His mercy is on those who fear Him from generation to generation. He has shown strength with His arm; He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He has put down the mighty from their thrones, And exalted the lowly.  He has filled the hungry with good things, And the rich He has sent away empty.  He has helped His servant Israel, In remembrance of His mercy, As He spoke to our fathers, To Abraham and to his seed forever.” - Luke 1:46-55.

 3) Zechariah’s song

Blessed is the Lord God of Israel, For He has visited and redeemed His people, And has raised up a horn of salvation for us In the house of His servant David, As He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets, Who have been since the world began, That we should be saved from our enemies And from the hand of all who hate us, To perform the mercy promised to our fathers And to remember His holy covenant, The oath which He swore to our father Abraham: To grant us that we, Being delivered from the hand of our enemies, Might serve Him without fear, In holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life. “And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Highest; For you will go before the face of the Lord to prepare His ways,  To give knowledge of salvation to His people By the remission of their sins, Through the tender mercy of our God, With which the Dayspring from on high has visited us; To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, To guide our feet into the way of peace.” - Luke 1:68-79.

4) The angels’ song

And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” - Luke 2:9-14.

5) Simeon’s song

And when the parents brought in the Child Jesus, to do for Him according to the custom of the law, he took Him up in his arms and blessed God and said: “Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace, According to Your word; For my eyes have seen Your salvation Which You have prepared before the face of all peoples, A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, And the glory of Your people Israel.” - Luke 2:27-32.

Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth! Sing to the Lord, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day - Psalm 96:1-2.

PRAYER:Dear Lord, Let us sing praises to You and bless Your name. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

I Will Praise The Lord Who Counsels Me

I will praise the LORD, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me - Psalm 16:7.

God counsels us with His eye upon us. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you - Psalm 32:8. I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go - Isaiah 48:16. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye - Psalm 32:8. Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand Or whenever you turn to the left - Isaiah 30:21.

God gave counsel to Joseph and Joseph did everything according to it. But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit - Mathew 1:20. Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him” - Mathew 2:13. Now when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, and go to the land of Israel” - Mathew 2:19,20.  And being warned by God in a dream, he turned aside into the region of Galilee - Mathew 2:22.

Let us thank God for His counsel in our life and walk according to it. You will guide me with Your counsel - Psalm 73:24. He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way - Psalm 25:9. He will guide us continually. The Lord will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail - Psalm 58:11.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You and praise You for Your counsels in our life. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

God Highly Exalted Him

Therefore God also has highly exalted Him - Philippians 2:8.

God highly exalted Christ and gave Him a name which is above every name that every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father - Philippians 2:8-11.

God highly exalted as He humbled himself and obeyed Him by coming to the world in the appearance as a man and fulfilling His will. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross - Philippians 2:8. For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me - John 6:38. I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me - John 5:30. For the works which the Father has given Me to finish - the very works that I do - John 5:36.  He who humbles himself will be exalted - Matthew 23:12.

The Word Became Flesh And Dwelt Among Us

The Word became flesh and dwelt among us - John 1:14.

God who was the Word became flesh and dwelt among us that we might live through Him. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God -  John 1:1. God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons - Philippians 4:4. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. For You have magnified Your word above all Your name - Psalm 138:2.

The word became flesh and dwelt among us with humility in the appearance of man to save us and redeem us. While we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, how much more, once reconciled, will we be saved by His life - Romans 5: 10. Being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross - Philippians 2:6-8.

Let us thank God who became flesh and dwelt among us for us. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins - 1 John 4:10. God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory - 1 Timothy 3:16.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for becoming flesh and dwelling among us for us to live through You. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

He Did What The Angel of The Lord Had Commanded Him

When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife - Matthew 1:24.

Joseph did what the angel of the Lord commanded him and took Mary as his wife. When he was thinking of putting her away secretly. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly - Mathew 1:19. But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit - Matthew 1: 20. Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife, and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name Jesus - Matthew 1:24,25.

Joseph was obedient to all the instructions that were given to him in the dreams by the angel of the Lord. Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him.” When he arose, he took the young Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt - Matthew 2:13,14. Despite the consequences and unknown future, Joseph did what the angel of the Lord commanded him for God’s plan to be accomplished.

Let us also obey God for His plans to be accomplished in our life and walk in His ways as His ways and thoughts are higher than ours. If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth - Deuteronomy 28:1. To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams - 1 Samuel 15:22. For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts - Isaiah 55:8-9.

PRAYER: Help us to obey Your commands and walk in Your ways. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
