Great Is Our Lord And Mighty In Power

Great is our Lord and mighty in power - Psalm 147:5.

Our God is great and mighty in Power and He can do everything as power belongs to Him. He is Almighty God! God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God - Psalm 62:11. Lift up your eyes on high,And see who has created these things, Who brings out their host by number; He calls them all by name, By the greatness of His might And the strength of His power; Not one is missing - Isaiah 40:26. Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You - Jeremiah 32:17.

Our God is great and mighty in Power as He can make a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland - Isaiah 43:19. He turns a wilderness into pools of water, And dry land into watersprings - Psalm 107:35. I will open rivers in desolate heights, And fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, And the dry land springs of water - Isaiah 41:18. Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea and a path through the mighty waters - Isaiah 43:16.

Our God is great and mighty in Power as He is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all that we ask or think and all things all possible for Him. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us - Ephesians 3:20. Is any thing too hard for the LORD? - Genesis 18:14. With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible - Matthew 19:26. For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast - Psalm 33:9. I know that You can do everything, And that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You - Job 42:2.

Let us thank and praise God who is great and mighty in power. For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory. All glory to him forever! Amen - Romans 11:36. God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen - Jude 1:25. With God all things are possible - Mark 10:27.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are great and mighty in power. All things are possible for You. We thank you for Your greatness of Your power in our life. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Let The Word of Christ Dwell In You Richly

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly - Colossians 3:16.

We can be strong and overcome devil when the Word of God that is living and powerful dwell in us richly. For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart - Hebrews 4:12. The Word of god also gives us light, nourishes us, guides us, builds us up and makes us complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

To be strong and to overcome devil

Because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, And you have overcome the wicked one - 1 John 2:14.

Gives us light

The opening of Your words gives light, imparting understanding to the simple - Psalm119:130.

Nourishes us

Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. - Matthew 4:4.

Guides us

Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path - Psalm 119:105.

Builds us up

Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified - Acts 20:32.

To be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work - 2 Timothy 3:16,17.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let Your word dwell in us richly. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

With One Accord In Prayer And Supplication

These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers - Acts 1:14.

Filled with the Holy Spirit

With one accord, about a hundred and twenty gathered in the upper room, prayed continually in faith and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost. When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.  And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance - Acts 2:1-4.

Salvation

Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them - Acts 2:41. So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved - Acts 2:46, 47.

Power

The Holy Spirit empowers us to be witnesses all over the world. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth - Acts 1:8.

Wonders and signs

And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles - Acts 2:42, 43.

Preach with boldness

And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness - Acts 4:31.

Let us pray with one accord and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven - Matthew 18:19. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, Running down on the beard, The beard of Aaron, Running down on the edge of his garments. It is like the dew of Hermon, Descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the Lord commanded the blessing - Life forevermore - Psalms 133:1-3.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit. Let us continue with one accord in prayer and supplication. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

I Am The Light of The World

I am the light of the world - John 8:12.

As a light into the world

Jesus, the light of the world came as a light into the world to give light to everyone. I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness - John 12:46. God is light, and in him is no darkness at all - 1 John 1.5. The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world - John 1:9.  As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world - John 9:5.  The Lord will be your everlasting light - Isaiah 60:20.

Out of darkness into His marvelous light

God had delivered us out of the darkness into His marvelous light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love - Colossians 1;13. The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, And upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned - Matthew 4:16. But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light - 1 Peter 2:9.

Light of the world

We will have the light of life as we follow Him. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life - John 8:12. In Your light we see light - Psalm 36:9. Let us walk as children of light as we are now light in the Lord. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light - Ephesians 5:8. We are the light of the world to give light to others and so let our light shine before men for the glory of God. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden - Matthew 5:14. I have set you as a light to the Gentiles, That you should be for salvation to the ends of the earth - Acts 13:47. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven - Matthew 5:16.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the light of the world. We thank You for coming as a light into the world for delivering us out of the darkness into Your marvelous light. Let our light shine before all. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Whatever You Do, Do It Heartily

And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ - Colossians 3:23, 24.

1. In loving God

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment - Matthew 22:37–38.

2. In speech

For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things - Matthew 12:34, 35.

3. In forgiving

For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you - Matthew 6:15. So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses - Matthew 18:35.

4. In hearing God's Word

But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience - Luke 8:15.

5. In giving

He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver - 2 Corinthians 9:6,7.

6. In loving others

Love one another fervently with a pure heart - 1 Peter 1:22.

7. In helping those who are in need

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,  I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ - Matthew 25:35,36,40.

8. In obeying the earthly masters

Obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart - Ephesians 6:5,6.

9. In doing everything

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him - Colossians 3:17.

10. In seeking God

I seek you with all my heart - Psalm 119:10.

The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart - 1 Samuel 16:7.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Whatever we do, let us to do it heartily to You and not to men. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Stop Doubting And Believe

Stop doubting and believe - John 20:27.

Jesus told disciples about His death and resurrection and prepared their minds before His crucifixion. Then He took the twelve aside again and began to tell them the things that would happen to Him: “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death and deliver Him to the Gentiles; and they will mock Him, and scourge Him, and spit on Him, and kill Him. And the third day He will rise again.” - Mark 10:32-34.

Disciples

The disciples did not believe when they heard that Jesus was alive and had been seen by Mary Magdalene. Now when He rose early on the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven demons. She went and told those who had been with Him, as they mourned and wept. And when they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, they did not believe - Mark 16:9-11.

The other disciples did not believe when two disciples told them that they saw the risen Lord. After that, He appeared in another form to two of them as they walked and went into the country. And they went and told it to the rest, but they did not believe them either - Mark 16:12,13. Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen - Mark 16:12-14.

Thomas

Thomas did not believe when the other disciples said that they have seen the Lord. Now Thomas (also known as Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.” - John 20:24,25.

Jesus chose another time to appear to Thomas. A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.” Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!” - John 20:26-28

Let us also stop doubting and believe God's Word. Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed” - John 20:29. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water - John 7:38. I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst - John 6:35.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us stop doubting and believe Your Word. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Walk In The Power of Resurrection

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you - Romans 10:11.

The exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead

We can walk in the power of resurrection as the same power that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in all who believe God. What is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come - Ephesians 1:19-21.

Count yourself dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness

To walk in the resurrection power and experience the true freedom and victory, we must count ourselves dead to sin and offer every part of ourselves to Him as an instrument of righteousness. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness. For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace - Romans 8:11-14.

Walk in the power of resurrection

Let us surrender all to Jesus, counting ourselves dead to sin and experience the true freedom and victory by walking in the power of resurrection. I want to know Christ - yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death - Philippians 3:10. Knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God - Romans 8:9, 10.

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me - Galatians 2:20.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us walk in the power of resurrection according to the exceeding greatness of Your mighty power by counting ourselves dead to sin and offer every part of ourselves to You as an instrument of righteousness. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Peace To You

Now as they said these things, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, “Peace to you.” - Luke 24:36.

Before crucifixion

Jesus before His crucifixion encouraged His disciples to be in peace in the world of tribulation as He had overcome the world. These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world - John 16:33. The peace He gives us is not as the world gives us. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid - John 14:27.

After resurrection

Jesus after His resurrection came and stood in the midst of disciples when they were in the fear of Jews. Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.” When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” - John 20:19-21. And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, “Peace to you!” - John 20:26.

Peace of God to us

May the peace of God rule our hearts, our home and the place we live whenever we are afraid or anxious for anything. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful - Colossians 3:15. Peace be within your walls, Prosperity within your palaces - Psalm 122:7. My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places - Isaiah 32:18.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus - Philippians 4:6, 7.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for Your peace to us. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

All Things New

Behold, I make all things new - Revelation 21:5.

The Spirit of the Lord who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us and will also give life. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you - Romans 8:11. All things will become new in our life as nothing will be impossible with God. For nothing will be impossible with God - Luke 1:37. God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did - Romans 4:17.

Just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life - Romans 8:7. We have to walk in the newness of life by putting off the old man and putting on the new man. That you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness - Ephesians 4:22-24.

Let us thank God who makes all things new in our life. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new - 2 Corinthians 5:17. Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert - Isaiah 43:18,19. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh - Ezekiel 36:26.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for making all things new in our life. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

He Is risen

He is not here; for He is risen, as He said - Matthew 28:6.

The stone was rolled away and the tomb was empty when Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to the tomb to anoint the dead body of their Lord. But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay” - Matthew 28:5,6. The Lord is risen as He said and they remembered His words. Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here; He has risen! Remember how He told you, while He was still with you in Galilee  saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’ And they remembered His words - Luke 24:5-8.

Christ who died for our sins was buried and rose again on the third day. Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures - 1 Corinthians 15:3, 4. For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit -1 Peter 3:18. He conquered the death and the death has no longer dominion over Him. Death no longer has dominion over Him - Romans 6:9. But God raised Him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him - Acts 2:24.

Let us thank our resurrected Christ for His great mercy for us to be born again to a living hope through His resurrection. According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead - 1 Peter 1:3-5. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you - Romans 8:11. I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live - John 11:25.

I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death - Revelation 1:18.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the resurrection and the life. We thank You for giving us living hope through Your resurrection. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Seven Words of Jesus on The Cross

And when they had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Him, and the criminals, one on the right hand and the other on the left - Luke 23:33.

1. The First Word

Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do” - Luke 23:34.

2. The Second Word

And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise” - Luke 23:43.

3. The Third Word

When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold your son!” - John 19:26.

4. The Fourth Word

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” - Matthew 27:46.

5. The Fifth Word

After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!” - John 19:28.

6. The Sixth Word

So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit - John 19:30.

7. The Seventh Word

And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, ‘into Your hands I commit My spirit.’ ” Having said this, He breathed His last - Luke 23:46.

Father, ‘Into Your Hands I Commit My Spirit.’

And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, ‘Into Your hands I commit My spirit.’ ” Having said this, He breathed His last - Luke 23:46.

The seventh and the last word that Jesus spoke on the cross was “Father, Into Your hands I commit My spirit." When Jesus spoke this Word, darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour, the sun stopped shining and the curtain of the temple was torn in two. It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour, for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two - Luke 23:44, 45.

Jesus committed His spirit into the hands of Father before His death on the cross. Into Your hand I commit my spirit; You have redeemed me, O Lord God of truth - Psalm 31:5. The centurion who saw what had happened, praised God and testified that Surely this was a righteous man. Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last. The centurion, seeing what had happened, praised God and said, “Surely this was a righteous man.” - Luke 23:46, 47.

Let us thank God who laid down His life on the cross for us. As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep - John 10:15. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep - John 10:11. I came forth from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father - John 16:28.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for what You have done on the cross. We commit ourselves into Your hands. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Do This In Remembrance of Me

Do this in remembrance of me - Luke 22:19.

Jesus instituted the Lord's Supper with His disciples on the night before His crucifixion. And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you" - Luke 22:19,20. The bread represents the body of Christ that was broken for us and the cup represents the blood that is shed by Jesus for us.

When we take the bread and the cup, we remember the day when Jesus Christ died for our sins on the cross, buried, and rose again from the dead. We need to self-examine ourselves before we eat the bread and drink the cup. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep - 1 Corinthians 11:28-30.

Let us remember the body of christ that was broken for us and the blood that was shed for us and thank God for His great sacrifice for us. For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes - 1 Corinthians 11:26. For we, though many, are one bread and one body; for we all partake of that one bread - 1 Corinthians 10:7.  I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. - Galatians 2:20.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for Your body that is broken and Your blood that is shed for us. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

It Is Finished

So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit - John 19:30.

The sixth word of Jesus on the cross is "It is finished". Jesus came down to earth from heaven to do the will of Father who sent Him to save us. I can of Myself do nothing. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me - John 6:38. I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me - John 5:30. Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners - 1 Timothy 1:15. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost - Luke 19:10. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus - Romans 3:23.24.

The purpose of Jesus for coming to this world to save us is finished. Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! - John 1:29. Having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it - Colossians 2:14,15. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many - Mark 10:45.

Let us thank God for His finished work on the cross. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes we are healed - Isaiah 53:5. I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do - John 17:4.  I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do - John 17:4. Like Jesus, let us also finish the purpose of God for us. Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature - Mark 16:15. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith - 2 Timothy 4:7.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for Your finished work on the cross. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

I Thirst

After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!” - John 19:28.

The fifth word that Jesus uttered on the cross is “I thirst” which is a word of suffering. They also gave me gall for my food, and for my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink - Psalm 69:21. My strength is dried up like a potsherd, And My tongue clings to My jaws; You have brought Me to the dust of death- Psalm 22:15.

Jesus felt bodily thirst as well as thirst for the lost souls to be saved. Let anyone who is thirsty come to me, and let the one who believes in me drink. If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water - John 7:37,38. For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, And floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, And My blessing on your offspring - Isaiah 44:3.

Let us thirst more for God and have a thirst to reach the lost souls. As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God? - Psalm 42:1,2. I spread out my hands to you; I thirst for you like a parched land - Psalm 143:6. I am weary with my crying; My throat is dry; My eyes fail while I wait for my God - Psalm 69:3. O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water - Psalm 63:1.

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him                                           and dine with him, and he with Me - Revelation 3:20.

One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of                                         my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple - Psalm 27:4.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We need You. Let us thirst more for You and reach the lost souls to be saved. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
