I Instruct You In The Way of Wisdom And Lead You Along Straight Paths

I instruct you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths - Proverbs 4:11.

              David, a man after God's own heart constantly sought God's leading to do His will. He relied on God's guidance and instructions instead of leaning on his own understanding. I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will - Acts 13:22. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths -  Proverbs 3:5-6.

1. David asked the Lord, “Should I go and attack them?” “Yes, go and save Keilah,” the Lord told him - 1 Samuel 23:2.
2. So David asked the Lord again, and again the Lord replied, “Go down to Keilah, for I will help you conquer the Philistines.”- 1 Samuel 23:4.
3. Then David asked the Lord, “Should I chase after this band of raiders? Will I catch them?” And the Lord told him, “Yes, go after them. You will surely recover everything that was taken from you!” - 1 Samuel 30:8.
4. After this, David asked the Lord, “Should I move back to one of the towns of Judah?” “Yes,” the Lord replied. Then David asked, “Which town should I go to?” “To Hebron,” the Lord answered - 2 Samuel 2:1.
5. So David asked the Lord, “Should I go out to fight the Philistines? Will you hand them over to me?” The Lord replied to David, “Yes, go ahead. I will certainly hand them over to you.” - 2 Samuel 5:19.
6. And again David asked the Lord what to do. “Do not attack them straight on,” the Lord replied. “Instead, circle around behind and attack them near the poplar trees - 2 Samuel 5:23.
7. There was a famine during David’s reign that lasted for three years, so David asked the Lord about it. And the Lord said, “The famine has come because Saul and his family are guilty of murdering the Gibeonites" - 2 Samuel 21:1.

              May God instruct us in the way of wisdom and lead us along straight paths to do His will as we seek His leading and guidance in our life. Show me Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day - Psalm 25:4-5. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye - Psalm 32:8. 

                                                                              

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for instructing us in the way of wisdom and leading us along straight paths to do Your will. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
