Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.
God's will for us is to pray without ceasing and prayer is not always asking our needs to God. It is praising, repenting, aligning to His will, yielding to Him, expecting in faith and resting in His presence. Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving - Colossians 4:2.
Praise
Begin prayer by praising God
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name - Psalm 100:4.
Repent
Repent to God in prayer
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness - 1 John 1:9.
Align to God's will
Prayer is not only asking about what we desire but also according to what God desires
Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us - 1 John 5:14.
Yield to God completely
Surrender every plan to God
Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done - Luke 22:42.
Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass - Psalm 37:5.
Expect in faith
Trust God's promises & believe even before answer for prayer appears
Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them - Mark 11:24.
Rest in God's presence
Listen to God's voice by resting in His presence
Be still, and know that I am God - Psalm 46:10.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us pray without ceasing. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
