A Chosen Generation

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light - 1 Peter 2:9.

We are a chosen generation of God. For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth - Deuteronomy 7:6. God had chosen us to declare His praise and fulfill His purpose. This people I have formed for Myself; They shall declare My praise - Isaiah 43:21.

We were chosen by God to tell about His goodness and love to others. We are set apart from the world. Though we live in this world, we are not of the world. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you - John 15:19. We are so privileged to be chosen by God. So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen - Mathew 20:16.

As God's chosen people, let us cloth ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience - Colossians 3:12. We are so blessed to be a chosen generation as God has called us out of darkness into marvelous light. Blessed is the man You choose - Psalm 65:4.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for choosing us to be a people for Yourself. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Our Eyes Look Upon The Lord

But my eyes are upon You, O God the Lord; In You I take refuge - Psalm 141:8.

Our faces will not be ashamed and we will be radiant when our eyes look upon God. They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed - Psalm 34:5. Our help comes from the Lord who is the maker of heaven and earth as our eyes look upon Him. I will lift up my eyes to the hills - From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth - Psalm 121:1,2.

Jehoshaphat’s eyes looked upon the Lord when a great multitude came against him. O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You - 2 Chronicles 20:12. Instead of focusing on the problem, he looked upon God with trust and God gave him victory. The Lord had made them rejoice over their enemies - 2 Chronicles 20:27.

Let our eyes look upon the Lord until He has mercy on us. Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters, As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, So our eyes look to the Lord our God, Until He has mercy on us - Psalm 123:2. May our eyes always look upon the Lord when we do not know what to do for He will help us. My eyes are ever on the Lord, for only he will release my feet from the snare - Psalm 25:15.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are our refuge. Our eyes look upon You for Your mercy and grace. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Walk In Obedience

Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him. You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours - Psalm 128:1,2.

We are so blessed when we walk in obedience to God. Abraham obeyed God when God called him to leave his home and country. Abraham obeyed God and left all he had for a land he knew not of - Genesis12:4. Abraham obeyed God by faith without even knowing where he was going. By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going - Hebrews 11:8.

Also, Abraham obeyed God’s command to sacrifice Isaac. When they arrived at the place where God had told him to go, Abraham built an altar and arranged the wood on it. Then he tied his son, Isaac, and laid him on the altar on top of the wood - Genesis 22:9. God blessed Abraham and his descendants as he obeyed Him. And I will make your descendants multiply as the stars of heaven; I will give to your descendants all these lands; and in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed; because Abraham obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws - Genesis 26:4,5.

Isaac obeyed God when he was told by God not to go down to Egypt but to stay in Gerar. As Isaac obeyed God, he got hundredfold of blessings at that place during the time of famine. Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him. The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous; for he had possessions of flocks and possessions of herds and a great number of servants - Genesis 26:12-14. Isaiah 1:19 says, “If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land.” Let us obey God with faith and receive the abundant blessings of God.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to walk in obedience to You by faith. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

There Is Power In The Name of Jesus

Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory in the heavens - Psalms 8:1.

The name of our Lord is the most powerful name. There is power and authority in the name of Jesus. When we pray in the name of Jesus, we will receive it. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it - John 14:14. The disciples performed miracles in the name of Jesus. Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength - Acts 3:6,7.

The demons become powerless in the name of Jesus. Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name” - Luke 10:17. The demons will be cast out in the name of Jesus.  And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover - Mark 16:17,18.

There is healing and deliverance in the name of Jesus. Salvation comes in the name of the Lord. For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved - Romans 10:13. Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved - Acts 4:12. There is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain and bondages in our life. Let us trust the powerful name of our Lord. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we trust in the name of the Lord our God - Psalm 20:7.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Your name is above every other name. Let us always trust Your powerful name. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

The Lord is our Strength

The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped - Psalm 28:7.

The Sovereign Lord Himself is our strength. The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet, And He will make me walk on my high hills - Habakkuk 3:19. He is the strength of our life and a very present help in trouble. The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? - Psalm 27:1. God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble - Psalm 46:1. The Lord who is our strength gives us strength when we are weak. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak - Isaiah 40:29.

God strengthened Elijah when he was very weak both physically and emotionally. The angel of the Lord came back a second time and touched him and said, “Get up and eat, for the journey is too much for you.” So he got up and ate and drank. Strengthened by that food, he traveled forty days and forty nights until he reached Horeb, the mountain of God – 1 Kings 19:7,8. He is faithful to strengthen us and protect us from all evil. But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one - 2 Thessalonians 3:3.

God who is with us will strengthen us and help us whenever we are weak. Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand - Isaiah 41:10. It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect - Psalm 18:32. Let God’s strength be made perfect in our weakness.  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me - Philippians 4:13.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for being our strength. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Blessings For Those Who Set Love Upon God

Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.  With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation - Psalm 91:14-16.

We can set our love upon God by praising, speaking and listening to Him with all our heart, mind and soul.  Jesus said to him, 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment - Mathew 22:37. We love God by obeying Him. Whoever has My commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves Me - John 14:2. God will bless us as we set our love upon Him and acknowledge Him.

I will deliver him and I will set him on high

God will deliver us and set us on high as we set our love upon Him. He makes my feet like the feet of deer, And sets me on my high places - Psalm 18:33.

He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him

God will answer us when we call Him. Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know - Jeremiah 33:3.

I will be with him in trouble

God will be with us at difficult times.  When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you - Isaiah 43:2.

I will deliver him and honor him

God will deliver us from all evil and honor us. Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, And He delivered them out of their distresses - Psalm 107:6. For those who honor Me I will honor - 1 Samuel 2:30.

With long life I will satisfy him

God promises to give his loved ones a long life and satisfy life with goodness, joy and peace. Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess - Deuteronomy 5:33. My people will be satisfied with My goodness - Jeremiah 31:14.

Show him My salvation

God will show us His salvation. Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more - Exodus 14:13.

PRAYER:  Dear Lord, Let us set our love upon You with all our heart, mind and soul. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Continual Praise

Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name - Hebrews 13:15.

We are called by God to offer continual praises to Him. I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth - Psalm 34:1. There is none like our God. We can praise God all day long continually for who He is, for His wonderful creation, for His mighty works and His excellent greatness. In God we boast all day long, and praise Your name forever - Psalm 44:8.

Our God is great and greatly to be praised. Let us praise the Lord forever. I will extol You, my God, O King; And I will bless Your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless You, And I will praise Your name forever and ever. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised - Psalm 145:1,2. Let us praise God all our life as long as we live. I will sing to the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live - Psalm 104:33.

Let us keep praising God continuously. May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword in their hands - Psalm 149:15. When high praises of God dwell in our mouth, there will no entry for Satan in our life. As we glorify God by offering praises, He will show us His salvation. Whoever offers praise glorifies Me; And to him who orders his conduct aright I will show the salvation of God - Psalm 50:23.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are worthy of praises. Let us offer the sacrifices of praises to You continuously. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

The Battle Belongs To the Lord

Then all this assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord’s, and He will give you into our hands - 1 Samuel 17:47.

David faced Goliath confidently in the battle as he knew well that the battle does not belong to him but the Lord. Goliath’s trust was in his weapons and strength. But David’s trust was on the mighty power of the Lord. Our God is a mighty warrior who is mighty in battle. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, The Lord mighty in battle - Psalm 24:8.

David completely relied on God’s power and he was not fearful of Goliath’s threat. Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied - 1 Samuel 17:45. With God’s strength, David defeated Goliath easily. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you - James 4:17.

Sometimes we may need to deal with many Goliaths in our life. Let us submit ourselves to God like David as the battle is not ours but Lord’s. Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s - 2 Chronicles 20:15. Let us trust God who fights all our battles mightily and gives us victory. No weapon formed against you shall prosper - Isaiah 54:17. No one can be against us as God is for us. If God is for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for fighting all our battles and giving us victory. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Stop Doubting And Believe

In His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe - John 20:25.

After resurrection when Jesus appeared to his disciples, Thomas was not there. The other disciples told him that they saw the Lord. But Thomas told them that unless he sees the nail marks in Jesus’ hands and put his hands where His nails were, he will not believe. Though Thomas had witnessed that Jesus raised Lazarus and the 12-year-old daughter of Jairus, he could not believe that Jesus was resurrected.

A week later when Thomas was with other disciples in the house, Jesus came inside the locked room and said, ‘Peace be with you!”. Then He said Thomas to put his fingers and look at his hands. He also told him to stop doubting and believe. Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe” - John 20:27.

God who knows all the hearts gave an opportunity for Thomas to believe Him. Thomas realized his mistake of unbelief and offered his life to serve God.  Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed” - John 20:29. Let us also stop doubting God and believe Him at all times. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind” - James 1:6.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to stop doubting but believe You in everything. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Enemy Cannot Prevail Against Us

They will fight against you, But they shall not prevail against you. For I am with you,” says the Lord, “to deliver you - Jeremiah 1:19.

The enemy is a thief who always comes to steal, kill and destroy whereas God gives us an abundant life. Sometimes the enemy comes like a flood. When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him - Isaiah 59:19. God saved Noah and his family from the flood as he walked with God. Only Noah and those who were with him in the ark remained alive - Genesis 7:23. The Lord will rise up a banner against the enemy who comes in like a flood in our life as we walk with Him.

Like a roaring lion, the devil prowls around looking for someone to devour.  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world - 1 Peter 5:8,9. God shuts the mouths of lions as Daniel had faith in God. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no injury whatever was found on him, because he believed in his God - Daniel 6:23. God will deliver us from the hands of enemy when we believe Him in all situations.

Let us walk with God in faith and nothing can come against us. The enemy cannot attack us when the word of God which is living and powerful dwells richly in our heart. For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword - Hebrews 4:12.  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God - Ephesians 6:17. God who is in us is greater than the one who is in the world. He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world - 1 John 4:4.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for being with us and delivering us from all the attacks of enemy. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

God Will Carry Us

I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you - Isaiah 46:4.

God carries us all the way like a father carries his son. There you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place - Deuteronomy 1:31. He promises to carry us on His shoulders like an eagle that carries its young on its wings. As an eagle stirs up its nest, Hovers over its young, Spreading out its wings, taking them up, Carrying them on its wings, So the Lord alone led him, And there was no foreign god with him - Deuteronomy 32:11.

God carries us in His bosom like a Shepherd. He will feed His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs with His arm, And carry them in His bosom, And gently lead those who are with young - Isaiah 40:11. He will carry us and deliver us during the times of afflictions. In all their affliction He was afflicted, And the Angel of His Presence saved them; In His love and in His pity He redeemed them; And He bore them and carried them all the days of old - Isaiah 63:9.

God will carry us till our old age. The Lord will carry us to our old age, even to your graying years. He will carry us through difficult times. Even to your old age, I am He, And even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry, and will deliver you - Isaiah 46:4. Jesus had carried all our sins, sorrows, pains and sicknesses on the cross. Let us cast all our cares to the Lord who carries us. Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest - Matthew 11:28.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for carrying us at all times. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Peter's Transformation

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth - Acts 1:8.

Peter was transformed into a new man when the Holy Spirit was poured upon him. Earlier, Peter’s faith was very weak. When he walked on the water to go to Jesus, he was fearful as he saw the waves.  O you of little faith, why did you doubt? - Mathew 14:31. After he received the Holy Spirit, his faith became so great that he performed many miracles.  So that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them - Acts 5:15.

Earlier, Peter denied Jesus three times by cowardice. Then he began to curse and swear, saying, “I do not know the Man” - Mathew 26:74. Later Peter preached about Jesus very powerfully and boldly that about 3000 souls were added to the church. Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them - Acts 2:41. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new - 2 Corinthians 5:17.

Peter who was so weak earlier was transformed into a powerful man as the Holy Spirit took control of him. Let us receive the power of the Holy Spirit for our life to be transformed into new. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit - 2 Corinthians 3:18. The purpose of God in our life will be fulfilled when we become like Him.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Transform us to become more like You. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Preach, Heal, Proclaim And Open

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound – Isaiah 61:1.

God has anointed us to preach good tidings to the poor, to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and to release the prisoners from the darkness.

To preach good tidings to the poor

The great commission of our Lord for us is to take gospel to every person. And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature - Mark 16:15. How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”  - Isaiah 52:7.

To heal the brokenhearted

God is our Healer. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit - Psalm 34:18. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds - Psalm 147:3. Many people are brokenhearted due to many problems. Let us tell them about our Lord who heals the brokenhearted.

To proclaim liberty to the captives

We have freedom in Christ. We are called to liberty. Many people are captives to emotions, addictions, sins and much more. Let us use our freedom as an opportunity to serve others with love. For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another - Galatians 5:16.

To open the prison of those who were bound

Many minds of people are blinded by Satan so that they cannot see the light of the gospel. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God - 1 Corinthians 4:4. God has anointed us to open the eyes of spiritually blinded people. A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, And the glory of Your people Israel - Luke 2:32.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to preach good tidings to the poor, to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim the liberty to the captives and to release the prisoners from the darkness. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Favor of God and Men

A good man obtains favor from the Lord - Proverbs 12:2.

Noah found favor in the eyes of God. But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord - Genesis 6:8. Samuel continued to grow in stature and in favor both with the Lord and men. And the child Samuel grew in stature, and in favor both with the Lord and men - 1 Samuel 2:26. The people of Israelite got favor in the sight of the Egyptians.  And the Lord gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians - Exodus 11:3.

Mary found favor in the sight of God. The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you” - Luke 1:28. Queen Esther found favor in the sight of the king. The king loved Esther more than all the other women, and she obtained grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins - Esther 2:17. Jesus got favor from God and men. And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men - Luke 2:52. No evil can come near us when the favor of God shields us. For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield - Psalm 5:12.

When we listen to God’s instructions and wait on Him, we will receive favor from the Lord. Listen to my instruction and be wise; do not disregard it. Blessed are those who listen to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway. For those who find me find life and receive favor from the Lord - Proverbs 8:33-35. God pours out His favor upon us even though we do not deserve. May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us - Psalm 90:17.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to walk in Your divine favor. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Rehoboth

So he called its name Rehoboth, because he said, “For now the Lord has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land” - Genesis 26:22.

Rehoboth means “broad place" or “room enough.” The Lord blessed Isaac abundantly during his stay in the land of Gerar. The Philistines became jealous as they felt threatened to see the blessings of God upon Isaac’s life. The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous; for he had possessions of flocks and possessions of herds and a great number of servants. So the Philistines envied him - Genesis 26:13. They told Isaac to leave the area.
Isaac then moved to the valley of Gerar. There he dug a well but the herdsmen of Gerar came and fought with him claiming the well as theirs. So Isaac and his men dug another well and the herdsmen claimed it too. So he called the name of the well Esek, because they quarreled with him. Then they dug another well, and they quarreled over that one also. So he called its name Sitnah - Genesis 26:20,21. These failures could have discouraged Isaac. But he did not give up. But you, be strong and do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded - 2 Chronicles 15:7.
Isaac moved again, and dug a new well. This time there was no dispute over it. So, he named the well Rehoboth as the Lord had made room for them and they shall be fruitful in the land. Now there is enough room for them to succeed no matter the previous failures and the enemies were silenced. Whatever the enemy meant for evil, God turned it good for Isaac. God will bring us also to Rehoboth to see victory where enemy cannot steal away anything from us. He will make enough room for us to prosper and restore our previous losses. When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him - Proverbs 6:7.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for bringing us to Rehoboth where there is enough room for us to be fruitful in the land. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Meekness

Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth - Mathew 5:5.

Meekness is a fruit of the spirit. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law - Galatians 5:22,23.  When we live a life of meekness, God will teach us and reveal us His ways. As Moses was the meekest man on earth, God showed His ways to him. Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all men who were on the face of the earth - Numbers - 12:3. He made known his ways to Moses - Psalm 103:7. Jesus described Himself as meek and lowly in heart. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls - Mathew 11:29.
Jesus humbled Himself and became obedient to God to the death of the cross. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross - Philippians 2:8. As Jesus humbled Himself, God exalted Him highly and gave Him the name above every other name. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father - Philippians 2:9,10. Let us learn meekness from Christ who sacrificed His life for us.
God will lift us up to inherit the earth and its goodness when we are humble. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up - James 4:10. He who humbles himself will be exalted - Mathew 23:12. God gives His grace to the humble people. God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble - James 4:6. Let us grow in meekness by gaining control over anger. The humble also shall increase their joy in the Lord - Isaiah 29:19. Those who are meek will inherit the land and enjoy abundant peace and prosperity. But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy peace and prosperity - Psalm 37:11.

PRAYER:  Dear Lord, Help us to grow in meekness. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Praise God For All His Marvelous Works

Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what He has done - Psalm 105:1.

God acts mightily in our life. Let us praise God for all His powerful acts and abundant greatness in our life. Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness - Psalm 150:2. Let us praise the Lord for the good land He has given us to live happily. When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God for the good land He has given you - Deuteronomy 8:10.
Abraham grew strong in his faith as He gave praise and glory to God. No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God - Romans 4:20. David praised God at all times. I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth - Psalm 34:1. Let us praise God as He had prepared a table before us in the midst of enemies. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over - Psalm 23:5.
God has done marvelous things in our life. Let us remember and praise God for all His marvelous works and wonders. Remember His marvelous works which He has done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth - Psalm 105:5. Declare about what God has done and His wonderful acts among all people. I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works - Psalm 9:1. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts - Psalm 105:2.  Proclaim to the world that God is our Savior, Healer and Deliverer. Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples - Psalm 96:3.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We praise You for all Your marvelous works and wonders in our life. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Moved With Compassion

The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love - Psalm 103:8.

Our God is full of compassion. He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous - Psalm 112:4. He is the father of compassion. As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him - Psalm 103:13. His compassions never fail in our life. Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not - Lamentations 3:22. Jesus was moved with compassion when He saw the people who were lost. But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd - Mathew 9:36. He fed 5000 people with 5 loaves and 2 fish as His heart was full of compassion.
Jesus was moved with compassion when He saw the sick people. And when Jesus went out, He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick - Matthew 14:14. It was compassion that moved Jesus to open the eyes of blind and cleanse the lepers. They said to Him, “Lord, that our eyes may be opened.” So Jesus had compassion and touched their eyes. And immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed Him - Matthew 20: 33,34. Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.” As soon as He had spoken, immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed - Mark 1:40,42. He also raised the people from dead by compassion.
Jesus had set an example for us by showing how we should be moved with compassion while seeing the lost souls and the people who are in need. Let our heart move with compassion to the people around us. Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous - 1 Peter 3:8. As the chosen ones of God, let us always cloth ourselves with compassion. Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience - Colossians 3:12.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the Compassionate God. Let us also move with compassion towards others just like You. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Strengthen The Inner Man

Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day - 2 Corinthians 4:16.

We need to renew our inner man day by day. God will strengthen our inner man by His Spirit. He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man - Ephesians 3:16. He will express Himself through us when our inner man is well developed. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace - Romans 8:6.
To keep our inner man always healthy, we need to feed it by the word of God.  My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh - Proverbs 4:20-22. The word of God nourishes our inner man and brings health to our flesh.
God’s word is the spiritual food that makes our inner man stronger. Your words were found, and I ate them, And Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart - Jeremiah 15:16. As we eat the word of God by hearing it, our inner man will be strengthened. Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And let your soul delight itself in abundance - Isaiah 55:2. Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers - 3 John 2.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to strengthen our inner man by Your Word. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

We Will Not Lack Any Good Thing

No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly - Psalm 84:11.

God will not withhold any good thing from us when we walk uprightly. You may walk properly toward those who are outside, and that you may lack nothing - 1 Thessalonians 4:12. We will be free from lack when we are the givers to poor. He who gives to the poor will not lack, But he who hides his eyes will have many curses - Proverbs 28:27.
As God is our Shepherd, we will not experience any lack. The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing - Psalm 23:1. Those who fear the Lord and seek Him will never lack any good thing. There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing - Psalm 34: 9, 10.
The people of Israelites lacked nothing as the Lord was with them for forty years. These forty years the Lord your God has been with you; you have lacked nothing - Deuteronomy 2:7. Our home will be in peace and those who visit us can find nothing missing in our home. You shall know that your tent is in peace; You shall visit your dwelling and find nothing amiss - Job 5:24. Let us thank God for His goodness in our life.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You as You are our Shepherd and we lack nothing in our life. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

God's Ways Are Higher

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways - Isaiah 55:9.

God’s ways are not our ways and His ways are always higher than our ways. Sometimes we may not understand the ways of God in our life. But God’s ways are far more marvelous and perfect than we can understand. As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him - Psalm 18:30. He is righteous in all His ways. The Lord is righteous in all His ways, Gracious in all His works - Psalm 145:17.
God teaches His ways to the humble. He leads the humble in justice, And He teaches the humble His way - Psalm 25:9. Moses was a very humble man. Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all men who were on the face of the earth - Numbers 12:3. God made His ways known to Moses. He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the sons of Israel - Psalm 103:7. Let us humble ourselves to know and accept God’s higher ways in our life.
Ask God to teach His higher ways. Make me know Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths - Psalm 25:4. Teach me Your way, O Lord; I will walk in Your truth - Psalm 86:11. We can understand God's ways in our life when we spend time with Him in prayer and in His word. Let us commit all our ways to God and trust His higher ways. Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass - Psalm 37:5.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let Your higher ways work in our life. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
