What Does The Lord Require of Us?

And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God? - Micah 6:8.

God requires us to act justly, love mercy and to walk humbly with Him.
Act Justly
We are so blessed when we act justly and always do what is right. Blessed are those who act justly, who always do what is right - Psalm 106:3. Doing right things and being just is more acceptable to the Lord than our sacrifices to Him. To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice - Proverbs 21:3.
Love Mercy
Our God who is merciful require us also to love mercy by helping those who are in need. We have to extend our love and compassion by carrying the burdens of others. Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you - Luke 6:27. Let us serve God with our spiritual gift of showing mercy to others. Mercy triumphs over judgment - James 2:13.
Walk humbly with God
God desires us to walk humbly with Him. His favor will be upon those who are humble. These are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word - Isaiah 66:2. God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble - 1 Peter 5:5. The more humble we become, the more we can see the work of God in our life.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Enable us to act justly, love mercy and to walk humbly with You. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
