How Great Is Our God

Great is our Lord and mighty in power; His understanding has no limit - Psalm 147:5.

Our God is great. Bless the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, You are very great: You are clothed with honor and majesty, Who cover Yourself with light as with a garment, Who stretch out the heavens like a curtain - Psalm 104:1,2. He is great above all Gods and greatly to be praised. For the Lord is the great God, And the great King above all gods - Psalm 95:3. For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods – Psalm 96:4.

God who is great does great things in our life beyond our understanding. He does great things beyond our understanding - Job 37:5. For He who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name - Luke 1:49. For You are great, and do wondrous things; You alone are God - Psalm 86:10. The works of the Lord are great in our life. The works of the Lord are great, studied by all who have pleasure in them - Psalm 111:2.

Let us praise the greatness of our great God. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised - Psalm 48:1. I will proclaim the name of the Lord. Oh, praise the greatness of our God! - Deuteronomy 32:3. God’s grace, mercies, love, goodness, guidance, providence and protection are great in our life. The Lord has done great things for us, and we are glad - Psalm 126:3.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are great and greatly to be praised. We thank You for doing great things in our life. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Let Everything That Has Breath Praise The Lord

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord - Psalm 150:6.

God has given each of us breath to praise Him. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well - Psalm 139:14. We are fearfully and wonderfully made by God to praise Him. All the earth shall worship You And sing praises to You; They shall sing praises to Your name - Psalm 66:4. Let us praise God for the gift of life. And my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips - Psalm 63:5.

Let us praise the Lord for His mighty acts in our life. Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness! - Psalm 150:2. God is good and He had done great things in our life. Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good; Sing praises to His name, for it is pleasant - Psalm 135:3. I will praise him for what he has done - Psalm 34:2. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live and in your name I will lift up my hands - Psalm 63:3,4.

Let us be the people of praise. Both young men and maidens; Old men and children. Let them praise the name of the Lord, For His name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and heaven - Psalm 148:12,13. And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying: “Blessing and honor and glory and power Be to Him who sits on the throne, And to the Lamb, forever and ever!” - Revelation 5:13.

PRAYER: We thank You for giving us breath to praise You. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Prayer

If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land - 2 Chronicles 7:14.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus - Philippians 4:6,7.

Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints - Ephesians 6:18.

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened -  Matthew 7:7,8.

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours - Mark 11:24.

And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father - John 14:13.

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us - 1 John 5:14.

Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them - Matthew 18:19,20.

Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them - Mark 11:24.

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective - James 5:16.

But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you - Matthew 5:44.

Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak - Matthew 26:41.

Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer - Romans 12:12.

Pray without ceasing - 1 Thessalonians 5:17.

Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving - Colossians 4:2.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the Lord who answers all our prayers. Let us continue steadfastly in prayer. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

I Will Pour Out My Spirit On All Flesh

In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams - Acts 2:17.

God promises that He will pour out His Spirit on all flesh in the last days. Before Jesus had ascended to heaven, He promised that He would give another "Helper" that would be with us forever. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever - John 14:16. On the day of Pentecost, the Apostles were filled with the Holy Spirit. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance - Acts 2:4. The Gentiles were filled with the Holy Spirit while Peter was preaching. While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word - Acts 10:44.

The Holy Spirit empowers us to be witnesses all over the world. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth - Acts 1:8. The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound - Isaiah 61:1.

Let us thank God for the promise of the Holy Spirit that will be poured upon all the flesh in the last days. In the name of Jesus, may every knee bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father - Philippians 2:9-11.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Hide Me Under The Shadow Of Your Wings

Hide me under the shadow of Your wings - Psalm 17:8.

God’s unfailing love towards us is priceless that He protects us under the shadow of His wings. How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings - Psalm 36:7. As God is our help, let us sing in the shadow of His wings. Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings - Psalm 63:7.

We shall take refuge under His wings as He protects us by covering us with His feathers. He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler - Psalm 91:4. He shields us, delivers us and rescues us. Like birds hovering overhead, the Lord Almighty will shield Jerusalem; he will shield it and deliver it, he will ‘pass over’ it and will rescue it - Isaiah 31:5.

Let us trust God and take refuge under the shadow of His wings until the calamities of this world have passed by. Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me! For my soul trusts in You; and in the shadow of Your wings, I will make my refuge, until these calamities have passed by - Psalm 57:1. I will abide in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings - Psalm 61:4.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for hiding us under the shadow of Your wings. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

El Shaddai - The Almighty God

I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless - Genesis 17:1.

God revealed Himself as El Shaddai, God Almighty to Abraham when he was ninety-nine years old to remind him that He will fulfill His promise to make him a father of many nations. And I will make My covenant between Me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly - Genesis 17:2. He who identified Himself as Abraham’s shield now identified Himself as Almighty God who is able to keep every promise.

El Shaddai reveals God’s nurturing care for His people. The word El comes from Elohim, the powerful Creator. The word Shaddai comes from the Hebrew word shad, which means breast. It refers to the nourishment only God can provide like a mother’s nourishment imparted to her child. Our Lord  is El Shaddai, the Almighty God who is sufficient to meet all of our needs. Like a mother who supplies the needs of child, God will nourish us and supply all our needs. And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus - Philippians 4:19.

El Shaddai, the Almighty, all sufficient, life giving God blessed Abraham as the father of nations as He promised. Our Almighty God is able to keep all of His promises. Nothing is too difficult for Him. There is nothing too hard for You - Jeremiah 32:17. The things which are impossible with men are possible with God - Luke 18:27. El-Shaddai, the God Almighty will keep His promises to us and do mighty things in our life.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are El-Shaddai, the Almighty God. We believe that nothing is too hard for You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Love In Action

Let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth - 1 John 3:18.

We will know that we are of the truth only when we love others with actions and in truth and not with words. God loved us so much that He gave His one and only son for us, By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren - 1 John 3:16. Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well - 1 John 5:1.

The love of God does not abide in us when do not love others with actions and truth. But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? - 1 John 3:17. If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? - James 2:15,16.

Let us love others fervently with a pure heart in action instead of words. Blessed is he who considers the poor; The Lord will deliver him in time of trouble. The Lord will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The Lord will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed - Psalm 41:1-3. Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart - 1 peter 1:22.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us not love others with just words but in action and truth. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Peter's Walk on Water

And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus - Matthew 14:29.

The disciples saw Jesus walking on the sea when their boat was tossed by waves and wind in the middle of the sea. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid” - Matthew 14:27. While all the other disciples were afraid, Peter told Jesus that he wants to come to Him on the water. And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” So He said, “Come” - Matthew 14: 28,29. Peter stepped out of the boat and started walking on water.

As long as Peter kept his eyes on Jesus, he was walking on the water. But when he took his eyes off of Jesus and saw the wind, he began to sink. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” - Matthew 14:30. Instead of focusing on our problems, let our look to God. Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame - Psalm 34:5.

Jesus stretched out His hand immediately and caught Peter when he began to sink in the water. And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”. And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased - Matthew 14:31,32. Let us look to God with faith. God’s righteous right hand will uphold us and rescue us in the midst of all storms. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand - Isaiah 41:10.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let our eyes always look to You and not on our problems. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him - Psalm 103:17. His mercies are abundant to all those who call upon Him. For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You - Psalm 86:5.

God’s goodness and mercies will follow us all the days of our life. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life - Psalm 23:5. His mercies endures forever. Praise the Lord! Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever- Psalm 106:1. The earth, O Lord, is full of Your mercy - Psalm 119:64.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are merciful God. We thank You for Your mercies in our life. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

The Lord Is Near To All Those Who Call Upon Him

The Lord is near to all those who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth - Psalm 145:18.

God promises us that He will be near to all those who call upon Him. Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know - Jeremiah 33:3. Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near - Isaiah 55:6. The Lord is near to all who call upon Him in truth. He cannot come near to us, when we do not have truth in our hearts and words. Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God - Matthew 5:8. Let us call on God in truth.

The Israelites called out to God in their slavery and God heard them. The Israelites groaned in their slavery and cried out, and their cry for help because of their slavery went up to God. God heard their groaning and he remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac and with Jacob. So God looked on the Israelites and was concerned about them -Exodus 2:23-25. I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage - Exodus 20:2.

God will hear our cry when we call upon Him and fulfill all our desires. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them - Psalm 145:19. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved” - Romans 10:13. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit - Psalm 34:18. Let us call on the Lord in truth to be near to us and see our desires fulfilled. Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me - Psalm 50:15.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us call upon You in truth as You are near to all those who call upon You in truth. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Do Not Fear

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand - Isaiah 41:10.

Do not fear, for I am with you

God is with us in all situations. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you - Isaiah 43:2. Let us not fear about anything as God is always with us. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me - Psalm 23:4.

Do not be dismayed, for I am your God

Let us not be dismayed as the Lord God is our only Savior.  I, even I, am the Lord, And besides Me there is no savior - Isaiah 43:11. I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage - Exodus 20:2. He is our God who heals us. I am the Lord who heals you - Exodus 15:26.

I will strengthen you and help you

God will strengthen us and help us. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me - Philippians 4:13. He is our strength. The Lord is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation - Exodus 15:2. He is our Helper. Behold, God is my Helper. The Lord is the sustainer of my soul - Psalm 54:4. The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me? - Hebrews 13:6.

I will uphold you with my righteous right hand

God promises us that He will uphold us with His righteous right hand. You make your saving help my shield, and your right hand sustains me; your help has made me great - Psalm 18:35. Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield - Psalm 33:20. My soul clings to You. Your right hand upholds me - Psalm 63:8.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us not fear about anything as we are Your children and You are our God who is always with us to strengthen us, help us and uphold us. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

The Spirit of Faith

And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak - 2 Corinthians 4:13.

Joshua and Caleb who were among those who had spied out the land had the Spirit of faith. Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it” - Numbers 13:30. Others who went them did not have the Spirit of faith and they told that it is impossible to overcome them. But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we” - Numbers 13:31. Only Joshua and Caleb were able to inherit the promised land. Those who did not have the spirit of faith were not able to enter the promised land.

The Spirit of faith operates in us when we believe and speak. When we believe and speak to our situations with no doubt in heart, it will change. So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says - Mark 11:22,23.

Let us walk by faith and not by sight. For we walk by faith, not by sight - 2 Corinthians 5:7. When we have the Spirit of faith, we get victory even before it is visible. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world - our faith - 1 John 5:4. Let us be always filled with the Spirit of faith by believing and speaking. But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it - Numbers 14:24.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to believe and speak to our situations with the Spirit of faith. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Meditating the Word of God

Oh, how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day - Psalm 119:97.

Brings us joy and delight

The meditation of God’s Word brings us joy and delight. Your words were found, and I ate them, And Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart - Jeremiah 15:16. I rejoice at Your word as one who finds great treasure - Psalm 119:162. I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, as much as in all riches. I will meditate on Your precepts, and contemplate Your ways. I will delight myself in Your statutes; I will not forget Your word - Psalm 119:14-16.

Gives us wisdom and guidance

Meditating on God’s Word gives us wisdom and guidance at every part of our life. I have more understanding than all my teachers, for Your testimonies are my meditation - Psalm 119:99. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path - Psalm 119:105. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation - Psalm 25:5.

Makes us prosperous and successful

God will make our way prosperous and give success when we meditate the word of God day and night. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success - Joshua 1:8. Let us delight in the Word of God and meditate on it day and night, so that we will prosper in all we do.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let Your word be our meditation all the day. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

God Who Gives Life To The Dead

God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did - Romans 4:17.

God who gives life to the dead will bring life to all our situations that are dead. He calls those things which do not exist as though they did. He is the God of miracles. In the Bible, we see that the following people were raised from dead miraculously.

1. Elijah raised a young boy

Now it happened after these things that the son of the woman who owned the house became sick. And his sickness was so serious that there was no breath left in him - 1 Kings 17:17.

O Lord my God, I pray, let this child’s soul come back to him. Then the Lord heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came back to him, and he revived - 1 Kings 17:21,22.

2. Elisha raised a young boy

When Elisha came into the house, there was the child, lying dead on his bed. He went in therefore, shut the door behind the two of them, and prayed to the Lord - 2 Kings 4:32,33.

He returned and walked back and forth in the house, and again went up and stretched himself out on him; then the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes - 2 Kings 4:35.

3. Jesus raised the son of the widow of Nain

And when He came near the gate of the city, behold, a dead man was being carried out, the only son of his mother; and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the city was with her - Luke 7:12.

So he who was dead sat up and began to speak. And He presented him to his mother - Luke 7:15.

4. Jesus raised the daughter of Jairus

Now all wept and mourned for her; but He said, “Do not weep; she is not dead, but sleeping.” And they ridiculed Him, knowing that she was dead.  But He put them all outside, took her by the hand and called, saying, “Little girl, arise.” Then her spirit returned, and she arose immediately - Luke 8:52-55.

5. Jesus raised Lazarus

Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!” And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Loose him, and let him go” - John 11:43,44.

6. Jesus Himself was risen

He is not here, but is risen! - Luke 24:6.

7. Peter raised Tabitha

But Peter put them all out, and knelt down and prayed. And turning to the body he said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up - Acts 9:40.

8. Peter raised Eutychus

And in a window sat a certain young man named Eutychus, who was sinking into a deep sleep. He was overcome by sleep; and as Paul continued speaking, he fell down from the third story and was taken up dead - Acts 20:10.

The people took the young man home alive and were greatly comforted - Acts 20:12.

Sing Praises To His Name

Sing to God, sing praises to His name - Psalm 68:4.

It is pleasant to sing praises to the name of God. Sing praises to His name, for it is pleasant - Psalm 135:3. The name of the Lord is a strong tower that protects us. The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe - Proverbs 18:10. Let us sing praises to the name of the Lord which is above every name. Every day I will bless You, And I will praise Your name forever and ever. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised and His greatness is unsearchable - Psalm 145:2,3.

God protected Israelites from the hands of Egyptians and so Moses led the people in the song of praise immediately after the Egyptians were destroyed. Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the Lord, and spoke, saying: “I will sing to the Lord, For He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea!” - Exodus 15:1. Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King, sing praises! - Psalm 47:6. I will praise the name of God with a song, And will magnify Him with thanksgiving - Psalm 69:30.

Let us sing praises to the name of God with thanksgiving and make melodies in our heart at all times. Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord - Ephesians 5:19. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord - Colossians 3:16. Sing to the Lord, bless His name; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day - Psalm 96:2.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We sing praises and give glory to Your great name. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Prayer of Elijah

The effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much - James 5:16.

Elijah was a man of prayer. He prayed that a drought would afflict the land because of Israel’s idolatry and the evil King Ahab. There was no rain on the land for three years and six months. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months - James 5:17. Elijah prayed again for the drought to end and the rain to come again. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit - James 5:18.

Elijah prayed expectantly for God to answer his prayer. He asked and sent his servant seven times to look for an answer. Go up now, look toward the sea. So he went up and looked, and said, “There is nothing.” And seven times he said, “Go again” - 1 Kings 18:43. Pray without ceasing - 1 Thessalonians 5:17. Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you - Matthew 7:7.

Elijah prayed persistently until he received an answer. Finally, after seven times, a small cloud began to form and God sent rain. Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!”. Now it happened in the meantime that the sky became black with clouds and wind, and there was a heavy rain.  - 1 Kings 18:44, 45. Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving - Colossians 4:16.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to pray without ceasing. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Living As Disciples of God

Be imitators of God - Ephesians 5:1.

Love one another

A disciple loves others just as Christ loves him. A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another - John 13:34,35.

Forsake everything

When we seek worldly possessions more than the Lord, we cannot be a disciple of God. Likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple - Luke 14:33. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows - 1 Timothy 6:10.

Put God first

We are disciples of God when we put God first in our life. If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple - Luke 14:26.

Deny yourself

We are disciples of God only when we deny ourselves and crucify our flesh on the cross. If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me - Luke 9:23. And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple - Luke 14:27.

Abide in Jesus & bear much fruit

When we abide in Jesus and bear much fruit, we are disciples of God. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples - John 15:7,8.

Abide in God’s Word

When we abide in God’s Word, we are disciples of God. If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed - John 8:31. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom - Colossians 3:16.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to live as true disciples by imitating You in our life. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

God Never Changes

For I am the Lord, I do not change - Malachi 3:6.

The world and everything in it is constantly changing, but our God is unchanging. In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded. But you remain the same, and your years will never end - Psalm 102:25-27. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever - Hebrews 13:8.

Unlike man’s words, God’s promises never fail. God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? - Numbers 23:19. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away - Matthew 24:35. His counsels always stand in our life. My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure - Isaiah 46:10.

Unlike man’s love, God’s love never changes. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him - 1 John 4:16. His love is unconditional and everlasting. Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you - Jeremiah 31:3. He will never leave us nor forsake us. I will never leave you nor forsake you - Hebrews 13:5. Let us always trust our unchanging God. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man - Psalms 118:8.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are an unchanging God. You are the same yesterday, today and forever in our life. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Listen, Meditate And Pay Attention To God's word

Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things from Your law - Psalm 119:18.

 Faith

Faith comes when we listen to the Word of God as much as possible. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God - Romans 10:17. For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart - Hebrews 4:12.

Blessed

We are blessed when we meditate the Word of God. We will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water and whatever we do will prosper. Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper - Psalm 1:1-3.

Health

God’s Word brings health to our flesh when we pay attention to it. My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh - Proverbs 4:20-22. Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God - Matthew 4:4.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to listen, meditate and pay attention to Your Word. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
