For this child I prayed; and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him - 1 Samuel 1:27.
Hannah poured out her heart to God and prayed
that if God would give her a child, she would give back to Him. But have poured
out my soul before the Lord - 1 Samuel 1:15. Like Hannah, let us pour out our heart
to God and bring all our needs to Him. Casting all your care upon Him, for He
cares for you - 1 Peter 5:7. God answered the prayer of Hannah and blessed her
with Samuel who became the great prophet of Israel. For this child I prayed,
and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him - 1 Samuel 1: 27.
God
also blessed her with five more children. And the Lord visited Hannah, so that
she conceived and bore three sons and two daughters. Meanwhile the child Samuel
grew before the Lord - 1 Samuel 2:21. He blessed Hannah exceedingly and
abundantly more than she asked God. There is power in prayer. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly
abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in
us - Ephesians 3:20.
Hannah praised God and sang a song of thanksgiving as her prayer was heard by God. And Hannah prayed and said: “My heart rejoices in the Lord; My horn is exalted in the Lord. I smile at my enemies, Because I rejoice in Your salvation” - 1 Samuel 2:1. Like Hannah, let us also pray to God for everything and rely on His strength. His power and His wisdom. Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly praised - Proverbs 31:30.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us pour out our heart before You and ask everything in prayer. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
