God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did - Romans 4:17.
God who gives life to the
dead will bring life to all our situations that are dead. He calls those things
which do not exist as though they did. He is the God of miracles. In the Bible,
we see that the following people were raised from dead miraculously.
1. Elijah raised a young boy
Now it happened after these things
that the son of the woman who owned the house became sick. And his sickness was
so serious that there was no breath left in him - 1 Kings 17:17.
O Lord my God, I pray, let this
child’s soul come back to him. Then the Lord heard the voice of Elijah; and the
soul of the child came back to him, and he revived - 1 Kings 17:21,22.
2. Elisha raised a young boy
When Elisha came into the house,
there was the child, lying dead on his bed. He went in therefore, shut the door
behind the two of them, and prayed to the Lord - 2 Kings 4:32,33.
He returned and walked back and forth
in the house, and again went up and stretched himself out on him; then the
child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes - 2 Kings 4:35.
3. Jesus raised the son of the widow
of Nain
And when He came near the gate of the
city, behold, a dead man was being carried out, the only son of his mother; and
she was a widow. And a large crowd from the city was with her - Luke 7:12.
So he who was dead sat up and began
to speak. And He presented him to his mother - Luke 7:15.
4. Jesus raised the daughter of
Jairus
Now all wept and mourned for her; but
He said, “Do not weep; she is not dead, but sleeping.” And they ridiculed Him,
knowing that she was dead. But He put
them all outside, took her by the hand and called, saying, “Little girl,
arise.” Then her spirit returned, and she arose immediately - Luke 8:52-55.
5. Jesus raised Lazarus
Now when He had said these things, He
cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!” And he who had died came out
bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth.
Jesus said to them, “Loose him, and let him go” - John 11:43,44.
6. Jesus Himself was risen
He is not here, but is risen! - Luke 24:6.
7. Peter raised Tabitha
But Peter put them all out, and knelt
down and prayed. And turning to the body he said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she
opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up - Acts 9:40.
8. Peter raised Eutychus
And in a window sat a certain young
man named Eutychus, who was sinking into a deep sleep. He was overcome by
sleep; and as Paul continued speaking, he fell down from the third story and
was taken up dead - Acts 20:10.
The people took the young man home
alive and were greatly comforted - Acts 20:12.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the Lord
who brings life to the dead. We believe that You will bring all our dead
situations back to life. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
