And I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians; and it shall be, when you go, that you shall not go empty-handed - Exodus 3:21.
God's provision for Israelites when coming out of Egypt
When Israelites were in Egypt, they were slaves with no food enough to eat and no abundance in anything. But when they came out of Egypt, God gave the Israelites favor in the sight of the Egyptians. They let them have what they asked for and so the Israelites came out with silver and gold and clothing. Thus they plundered the Egyptians. He also brought them out with silver and gold, And there was none feeble among His tribes - Psalm 105:37. The Israelites did as Moses instructed and asked the Egyptians for articles of silver and gold and for clothing. The LORD had made the Egyptians favorably disposed toward the people, and they gave them what they asked for; so they plundered the Egyptians - Exodus 12:35-36.
God's provision for Israelites in wilderness
The Israelites were brought out of Egypt with joy and gladness and God protected and provided them everything they need in the wilderness. He spread a cloud for a covering, And fire to give light in the night. The people asked, and He brought quail, And satisfied them with the bread of heaven. He opened the rock, and water gushed out; It ran in the dry places like a river. For He remembered His holy promise, And Abraham His servant. He brought out His people with joy, His chosen ones with gladness. He gave them the lands of the Gentiles, And they inherited the labor of the nations, That they might observe His statutes And keep His laws. Praise the Lord! - Psalm 105:39-45.
Consistent provision of God for Israelites
God’s provision will be always consistent and He will never fail us. As they continued throughout the wilderness, God consistently provided manna, meat, and water until they reached the promised land. when the children of Israel saw it, they said to one another, "What is it?" For they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, "This is the bread which the Lord has given you to eat - Exodus 16:15.
Let us thank God who will give us the total provision in every area of our life like how He provided the Israelites .Those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing - Psalm 34:10. And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus - Philippians 4:19. May we trust only God's total provision in our life and not any man. Stop trusting in man, whose breath is in his nostrils; for of what account is he? - Isaiah 2:22. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man - Psalm 118:8. Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save - Psalm 146:3. Cursed is the man who trusts in man - Jeremiah 17:5.
I will rain down bread from heaven for you - Exodus 16:4.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for Your total provision in our life. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
