Do Not Neglect Your Gift

 Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through a prophetic message when the body of elders laid their hands on you - 1Timothy 4:14.

                 God has given each of us different spiritual gifts to use it for His glory. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us - Romans 12:6. Every good gift and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17. God expects us to use the spiritual gifts that are given by Him.

         There are different kinds of spiritual gifts which includes Leadership, Administration, Teaching, knowledge, Wisdom, Prophecy, Discernment, Exhortation, Shepherding, Service, Mercy, Giving and Hospitality. Let us discover the gifts that God has given us and be mindful of it. Use the spiritual gifts given by God to strengthen and help others. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven - Matthew 5:16.

                     We are given spiritual gifts by God to serve others and to build up the body of Christ. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms - 1 Peter 4:10. May we use the precious gifts that God has given us according to His grace to honor Him. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them - Romans 12:6.                                                 

  PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us not neglect the gift You have given us but instead use it for Your glory. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
