His truth shall be your shield and buckler - Psalm 91:4.
God’s truth is the
effective defensive weapon against enemy. Both shield and buckler are used as defense
against attack during the fight. God’s truth shields us from the power of enemy. Nothing can
harm us as God’s Word protects us. No weapon formed against you shall prosper -
Isaiah 54:17. Our life is hidden with Christ in God when God’s truth dwell in
us. Your life is hidden with Christ in God - Colossians 3:3.
God’s word is the lamp to our feet
and light to our path. It guides us when we walk, watch over us when we sleep
and speaks with us when we are awake. When you walk, they will guide you; when
you sleep, they will watch over you; when you awake, they will speak to you. For
this command is a lamp, this teaching is a light, and correction and
instruction are the way to life - Proverbs 6:22,23.
God
has blessed us with His Word to lead a victorious life. Let us trust God and
His Word. His Word is the shield of protection for us. People will fail us but
God’s Word will never fail. As for God,
His way is perfect; The Word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who
trust in Him - Psalm 18:30. Taking up the shield of faith, let us fight back against all the attacks
of enemies. Thank God for the blessing of His Word that protects us.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for the blessing of Your truth which is the shield and buckler for us. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
