For He Spoke And It Was Done; He Commanded And It Stood Fast

For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast - Psalm 33:9.

For He spoke, and it was done

Lazarus who was dead came out alive when Jesus called in a loud voice to come out. He cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!” And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Loose him, and let him go” - John 11:43,44.

He commanded, and it stood fast

God commanded winds and water and they obeyed Him and there was a great calm. And they were afraid, and marveled, saying to one another, “Who can this be? For He commands even the winds and water, and they obey Him!” - Luke 8:25. Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm - Matthew 8: 26b.

For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast

Let us thank our powerful God as storms and winds may come in our life but what He had spoken will be done and what He had commanded will stand fast in our life. For I am the LORD: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass - Ezekiel 12:25. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? - Numbers 23:19.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Great is Your faithfulness to us. We thank You as whatever You have spoken will come to pass and there will be a great calm in our life. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Abound More And More In These Things

You should abound more and more, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God - 1 Thessalonians 4:1.

Hope

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit - Romans 15:13.

Good Work

And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work - 2 Corinthians 9:8.

Love to one another

And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all - 1 Thessalonians 3:12. And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment - Philippians 1:9.

Grace of giving

In a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded in the riches of their liberality. But as you abound in everything - in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all diligence, and in your love for us - see that you abound in this grace also - 2 Corinthians 8:7.

Faith,Virtue, Knowledge, Self-control, Perseverance, Godliness, Brotherly Kindness & Love

But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. - 2 Peter 1:5-8.

Work of the Lord

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord - 1 Corinthians 15:58.

With thanksgiving

As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. - Colossians 2:7.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to abound more and more in all these things. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

God Sees & Hears

The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry - Psalm 34:15.

God sees

God sees Hagar in the desert and promised her that He will increase her descendants and they will be too numerous to count. The angel of the Lord found Hagar near a spring in the desert; it was the spring that is beside the road to Shur. And he said, “Hagar, servant of Sarai, where have you come from, and where are you going?” “I’m running away from my mistress Sarai,” she answered. Then the angel of the Lord told her, “Go back to your mistress and submit to her.” The angel added, “I will so increase your descendants that they will be too numerous to count” - Genesis 16:7-10.

God hears

God heard the crying of boy when Hagar was in the wilderness with no water. God heard the boy crying, and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her, “What is the matter, Hagar? Do not be afraid; God has heard the boy crying as he lies there. Lift the boy up and take him by the hand, for I will make him into a great nation.” Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water. So she went and filled the skin with water and gave the boy a drink - Genesis 21:17-19.

God sees us & hears us

Our God sees all our pain and hears our cry. Then she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, You-Are-the-God-Who-Sees - Genesis 16:13. I love the Lord, because He has heard My voice and my supplications - Psalm 116:1. The LORD has heard my cry for mercy - Psalm 6:9. But truly God has listened; he has attended to the voice of my prayer -  Psalm 66:19. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit - Psalm 34:18.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We love You and thank You as You are the Lord who sees us and hears us.  In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
