That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him - Ephesians 1:17.
We need the Spirit of Wisdom to take right decisions and to lead a successful life in the world. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves - Matthew 10:16. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you - James 1:5. Joseph, Daniel and Joshua were filled by God with the Spirit of Wisdom.
Joseph
Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Inasmuch as God has shown you all this, there is no one as discerning and wise as you. You shall be over my house, and all my people shall be ruled according to your word; only in regard to the throne will I be greater than you.”- Genesis 41:39,40.
Daniel
Inasmuch as an excellent spirit, knowledge, understanding, interpreting dreams, solving riddles, and explaining enigmas were found in this Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar, now let Daniel be called, and he will give the interpretation - Daniel 5:12. Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm - Daniel 6:3.
Joshua
Now Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him; so the children of Israel heeded him, and did as the Lord had commanded Moses - Deuteronomy 34:9.
May God fill us with the Spirit of wisdom to lead a successful life and to grow more in Him. For I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist - Luke 21:15. The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord - Isaiah 11:2.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Fill us with the Spirit of wisdom. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
