Sing Praises

Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King, sing praises! - Psalm 47:6.

For His power

But I will sing of Your power; Yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning; For You have been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble. To You, O my Strength, I will sing praises; For God is my defense, My God of mercy - Psalm 59:16,17. 

For His strength

But I will sing of your strength; I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning. For you have been to me a fortress and a refuge in the day of my distress - Psalm 59:16.

For His wonderful acts

Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts - Psalm 105:2.

For doing marvelous things

Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! For He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory - Psalm 98:1.

            Let us sing praises to God by offering sacrifices of joy and thanksgiving for lifting our head up above our enemies. And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; Therefore I will offer sacrifices of  joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord - Psalm 27:6. I will praise the name of God with a song, And will magnify Him with thanksgiving - Psalm 69:30. All the earth shall worship You And sing praises to You; They shall sing praises to Your name - Psalm 66:4.

The Word of God Grew And Multiplied

 But the word of God grew and multiplied - Acts 12:24.

          The Apostles spread the Word of God irrespective of situations like facing all kinds of persecution, threats, imprisonment and even death for proclaiming the gospel. Then the word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith - Acts 6:7. 

                    There is a great need to spread the Word of God swiftly as there will be a famine for hearing the words of the Lord in the coming days. Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord God, “That I will send a famine on the land, Not a famine of bread, Nor a thirst for water, But of hearing the words of the Lord - Amos 8:11. The word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified - 2 Thessalonians 3:1.

               May we spread the word of God that remains forever to increase, grow, multiply and be glorified. But the word of the Lord endures forever. Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you - 1 Peter 1:25. Now the apostles and brethren who were in Judea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God - Acts 11:1. In this way the word of the Lord spread widely and grew in power - Acts 19:20. 

                                                                 


PRAYER: Let Your Word increase, grow, multiply and spread widely. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

I Will Restore Health To You

 “For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal” declares the Lord - Jeremiah 30:17.

             God will restore heath to us as we depart from evil and worship Him. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones - Proverbs 3:7, 8. Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you - Exodus 23:25.

            God will restore health to us as we pay attention to the word of God and keep it in our heart, it brings health to our flesh. My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh - Proverbs 4:20-22.

         God will restore heath to us as we speak pleasant words and have peace at heart. Speaking pleasant words brings health to the bones. Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones - Proverbs 16:24. A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones - Proverbs 14:30.

Ways To Please God

 Find out what pleases the Lord - Ephesians 5:10.

By praising God

I will praise the name of God with a song, And will magnify Him with thanksgiving. This also shall please the Lord better than an ox or bull, Which has horns and hooves - Psalm 69:30,31.

By having fear of God

The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him, In those who hope in His mercy - Psalm 147:11.

By having faith

But without faith it is impossible to please him - Hebrews 11:6.

By being not in flesh

Those who are in the flesh cannot please God - Romans 8:8. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life - Galatians 6:8.

By being obedient to parents in all things

Children, be obedient to your parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing to the Lord - Colossians 3:20.

By offering us as a living sacrifice and being holy

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God - this is your true and proper worship - Romans 12:1.

By our words and meditation of heart 

May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer - Psalm 19:14.

By being fruitful in every good work

You may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God - Colossians 1:10.

                      Our enemies will not triumph over us and will be at peace with us as we please God. When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him - Proverbs 16:7. By this I know that You are well pleased with me, Because my enemy does not triumph over me - Psalm 41:11. 

                                So we make it our goal to please Him - 2 Corinthians 5:9.                                       

                                                                                                      

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to lead a life in a way that pleases You. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Made Straight

      Immediately she was made straight, and glorified God - Luke 13:13.       

                         Jesus sets free a woman who had a spirit of infirmity for eighteen years and was bent over. And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity” - Luke 13:11,12. Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage - Galatians 5:9.

                 The woman glorified and thanked God as she was made straight immediately when Jesus laid His hands on her. And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God - Luke 13:13. I will go before you and make the crooked places straight - Isaiah 45: 2. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed - John 8:36.

                Let us thank and glorify God who sets us free and restores us by making all our crooked places straight. I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, and the crooked places straight. These things I will do for them, and not forsake them - Isaiah 42: 16. Every valley shall be filled in, every mountain and hill made low. The crooked roads shall become straight, the rough ways smooth. And all mankind will see God’s salvation - Luke 3: 5, 6.

                                                                    


PRAYER: Dear Lord, We glorify You and thank You for making all our crooked places straight. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Bring Glory To The Name of The Lord

 I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever - Psalm 86:12. 

For His awesome works

           God’s works are awesome in our life. Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth! Sing out the honor of His name; Make His praise glorious. Say to God, “How awesome are Your works!” - Psalm 66:1,2. 

For His love and faithfulness

             God’s love and faithfulness are great in our life and so let us bring glory to the name of the Lord and not to us. Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness - Psalm 115:1.

Bring glory to the name of the Lord       

              Let us worship the Lord our God and bring glory to His name. All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, O lord; they will bring glory to your name - Psalm 86:9. All the earth shall worship You And sing praises to You; They shall sing praises to Your name - Psalm 66:4.

                                                                     


PRAYER: Dear Lord, We bring glory to Your name for Your awesome works, love and faithfulness in our life. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Live By Faith

The righteous shall live by faith - Romans 1:17.

For we walk by faith, not by sight - 2 Corinthians 5:7.

By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith - Hebrews 11:7.

By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going - Hebrews 11:8. 

By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised - Hebrews 11:11.

By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, of whom it was said, “In Isaac your seed shall be called,” concluding that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead, from which he also received him in a figurative sense - Hebrew 11:17-19.

The walls of Jericho fell down after they were encircled for seven days by faith. For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also - James 2:26.

By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they were encircled for seven days - Hebrews 11:30.

By faith they passed through the Red Sea as by dry land - Hebrews 11:29.

Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour. Mathew 15:28.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen - Hebrews 11:1.

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God - Romans 10:17.

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him - Hebrews 11:6.

Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you” - Matthew 17:20.

And Jesus answered them, “Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen”- Matthew 21:21.

And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith - Matthew 21:22.

Paul looked directly at him, saw that he had faith to be healed and called out, “Stand up on your feet!” At that, the man jumped up and began to walk - Acts 14:10.

The testing of your faith produces patience - James 1:3.

And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak - 2 Corinthians 4:13.

Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.1 Corinthians 16:13.

Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses - 1 Timothy 6:12.

Great And Marvelous Are Your Works

 Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! - Revelation 15:3. 

               God’s works in our life are great and marvelous.  Lord, how great are Your works! Your thoughts are very deep - Psalm 92:5. He does great things, and unsearchable, marvelous things without number - Job 5:9. As in the days when you came out of the land of Egypt, I will show them marvelous things - Micah 7:15. For you are great and do marvelous deeds; you alone are God - Psalm 86:10. 

             The Israelites saw the great work done by the Lord when they were saved from the hand of the Egyptians. So the Lord saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore. Thus Israel saw the great work which the Lord had done in Egypt - Exodus 14:30,31. We have seen great works done by God in our life when He had delivered us from the hand of our enemies. And rescued us from our enemies, For His mercy endures forever - Psalm 136:24.

              Let us thank and praise God for His great and marvelous works in our life. Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! For He has done marvelous things - Psalm 98:1. I will praise You, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works - Psalm 9:1. He has made His wonderful works to be remembered; The Lord is gracious and full of compassion - Psalm 111:4. The Lord has done great things for us, And we are glad - Psalm 126:3. This was the Lord’s doing; It is marvelous in our eyes - Psalm 118:23. For You, Lord, have made me glad through Your work; I will triumph in the works of Your hands - Psalm 92:4.                                                                 


PRAYER: Dear Lord, Great and marvelous are Your works in our life. We thank You and praise You for all You have done. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Be Imitators of God

 Be imitators of God - Ephesians 5:1.

Be holy 

Be holy, for I am holy - 1 Peter 1:16.

Be humble

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love - Ephesians 4:2.

Be pure in heart

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God - Matthew 5:8.

Be kind and compassionate

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you - Ephesians 4:32.

Be Joyful

Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord; It shall rejoice in His salvation - Psalm 35:9.

Be glad

Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart! - Psalm 32:11.

Be strong and courageous

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you - Deuteronomy 31:6.

Be satisfied

My people shall be satisfied with My goodness - Jeremiah 31:12.

Be content

Be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” - Hebrews 13:5.

 Be patient in tribulation

 Be patient in tribulation - Romans 12:12.

Be lovable

Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another - 1 John 4:11.

Be thankful

Be thankful to Him, and bless His name - Psalm 100:4.

Be forgiving

Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. - Colossians 3:13.

Be filled with praises

Let my mouth be filled with Your praise And with Your glory all the day - Psalm 71:8.

Be peaceful with all

 If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all - Romans 12:18.

Be salt & light of the world

You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden - Matthew 5:13,14.

Be constant in prayer

 Be constant in prayer - Romans 12:12.

Be children of God

Behold what manner of love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God - 1 John 3:1.

Be ready

So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him - Matthew 24:44.

Look & Wait

 Therefore I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me - Micah 7:7.

Look to the Lord

They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces were not ashamed - Psalm 34:5.  I will lift up my eyes to the hills - From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth - Psalm 121:1,2. Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters, As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, So our eyes look to the Lord our God until He has mercy on us - Psalm 123:2. 

Wait for the God

 It is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord - Lamentations 3:6. For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him - Psalm 62:5. I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; my soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning - Psalm 130:5–6. Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; Wait for the LORD! - Psalm 27:14. Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the LORD! - Psalm 31:2. But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint - Isaiah 40:31.

My God will hear me

I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps - Psalm 40:1,2. The Lord is far from the wicked, But He hears the prayer of the righteous - Proverbs 15:29. The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles - Psalm 34:17. He will hear the cry of those who fear Him and save them. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them - Psalm 145:19. He hears the desire of the humble. Lord, You have heard the desire of the humble - Psalm 10:17.

                                                               


PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the God of Salvation and God who hears us. Let us look to you and wait for You. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Learn To Be Content

 Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content - Philippians 4:11.

                Paul had learned to be content to go through all situations with the strength of God. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength - Philippians 4:12,13. 

           Paul had learned to be content even in his weakness as God’s grace is sufficient for him. My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong - 2 Corinthians 12:9–10.

           Let us learn to be content with what we have. Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content - 1 Timothy 6:6-8. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs - 1 Timothy 6:10. Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” - Hebrews 13:5.

                                                            


PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us learn to be content with what we have as You will never leave us nor forsake us. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Simple Matter In The Sight of The Lord

 This is a simple matter in the sight of the Lord - 2 Kings 3:18.

               The Israelites did not see wind nor rain but the valley was filled with water as this is a simple matter in the sight of the Lord. For thus says the Lord: ‘You shall not see wind, nor shall you see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, so that you, your cattle, and your animals may drink’. And this is a simple matter in the sight of the Lord; He will also deliver the Moabites into your hand - 2 Kings 3:17,18. God delivered the Moabites into the hands of Israel. Israel rose up and attacked the Moabites, so that they fled before them; and they entered their land, killing the Moabites - 2 Kings 3:24.

               Jesus fed five thousand men with just five loaves and the two fish as it is a simple matter for Him. Philip answered him, “It would take more than half a year’s wages to buy enough bread for each one to have a bite!” - John 6:7. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children - Matthew 14:19-21.

            Our problems that we face in our life may look hard for us but they are simple matter in the sight of our Lord God as nothing is too hard for Him. Nothing is too hard for our Lord. Behold I am the LORD the GOD of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?  - Jeremiah 32:27. Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for You - Jeremiah 32:17.

                                                                   


PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the Sovereign Lord and nothing is too hard for You. We thank You and praise You as all our problems are simple matter in Your sight. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

God Our Father

 Yet, Lord, you are our father; we are the clay and you our potter: we are all the work of your hand - Isaiah 64:7.

             The Lord God is our father and from Him all things exist. And I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty - 2 Corinthians 6:18. And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” - Galatians 4:6. Yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom all things are and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are and through whom we exist - 1 Corinthians 8:6.       

           The Lord our father carried us as a father who carries his son. Then I said to you, “Do not be terrified; do not be afraid of them. The Lord your God, who is going before you, will fight for you, as he did for you in Egypt, before your very eyes, and in the wilderness. There you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place - Deuteronomy 1:29-31. He has compassion on us as a father has compassion on his children. As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him - Psalm 103:13.

             Let us thank our heavenly father who loves us and cares us so much. See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him - 1 John 3:1. Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? - Matthew 6:26.

His Mercies

  He will show compassion according to the multitude of His mercies - Lamentations 3:32.           

Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness - Lamentations 3:22-23.

The Lord is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy - Psalm 103:8. 

The earth, O Lord, is full of Your mercy - Psalm 119:64. 

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ - Ephesians 2:4.

For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You - Psalm 86:5. 

For the Lord is good. His mercy is everlasting - Psalm 100:5.

Oh, satisfy us early with Your mercy, That we may rejoice and be glad all our days! - Psalm 90:14.

But I will sing of Your power; Yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning; For You have been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble. To You, O my Strength, I will sing praises; For God is my defense, My God of mercy - Psalm 59:16,17. 

But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, Longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth - Psalm 86:15.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead - 1 Peter 1:3.

For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You. Psalm 86:5,6. 

For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him - Psalm 103:11.      

But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him - Psalm 103:17.

Oh, satisfy us early with Your mercy, That we may rejoice and be glad all our days! - Psalm 90:14.

I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever; With my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness to all generations - Psalm 89:1.

For the mountains shall depart And the hills be removed, But My kindness shall not depart from you, Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed, Says the Lord, who has mercy on you - Isaiah 54:10. 

But I will sing of Your power; Yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning. For You have been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble - Psalm 59:16.

Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments - Deuteronomy 7:9.  

But My faithfulness and My mercy shall be with him, And in My name his horn shall be exalted - Psalm 89:24.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life - Psalm 23:5.
