Find out what pleases the Lord - Ephesians 5:10.
By praising God
I will praise the name of God with a song, And will magnify Him with thanksgiving. This also shall please the Lord better than an ox or bull, Which has horns and hooves - Psalm 69:30,31.
By having fear of God
The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him, In those who hope in His mercy - Psalm 147:11.
By having faith
But without faith it is impossible to please him - Hebrews 11:6.
By being not in flesh
Those who are in the flesh cannot please God - Romans 8:8. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life - Galatians 6:8.
By being obedient to parents in all things
Children, be obedient to your parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing to the Lord - Colossians 3:20.
By offering us as a living sacrifice and being holy
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God - this is your true and proper worship - Romans 12:1.
By our words and meditation of heart
May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer - Psalm 19:14.
By being fruitful in every good work
You may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God - Colossians 1:10.
Our enemies will not triumph over us and will be at peace with us as we please God. When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him - Proverbs 16:7. By this I know that You are well pleased with me, Because my enemy does not triumph over me - Psalm 41:11.
So we make it our goal to please Him - 2 Corinthians 5:9.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to lead a life in a way that pleases You. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
