He Will Crush Your Head

          He will crush your head - Genesis 3:15.

              God  declared that from Eve, an offspring would come which is the One who would crush the head of the serpent, defeating the enemy forever. And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel - Genesis 3:15. 

               Jesus crushed the Satan's head by coming to the world as Savior and destroying the power of death and delivering us free from bondage. He was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities - Isaiah 53:5. It is finished - John 19:30. Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery - Hebrews 3:14,15.

               Let us thank God who defeated satan by crushing his head and delivering us from the power of darkness. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love - Colossians 1:13. At the incarnation, our Savior came not only to defeat death but also to destroy the works of the devil - 1 John 3:8.

                                                                     

 PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for defeating the satan by crushing his head and delivering us from the power of darkness. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
