God Our Great Encourager

 May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ - Romans 15:5-6.

                God is our great encourager. There is no one in the world like our God who encourages us in all our situations. When I thought, "My foot slips," Your steadfast love, O LORD, helped me up. When the cares of my heart are many, Your consolations cheer my soul - Psalm 94:18,19. The Word of God encourages us and brings us joy. And Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart - Jeremiah 15:16. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world - John 16:33.     

I will be with you

          I will be with you when you pass through the waters, and when you pass through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you - Isaiah 43:1.

I will strengthen you

           Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand - Isaiah 41:10. 

I will instruct you and teach you

            I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you - Psalm 32:8.

I will help you

           For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, 'Fear not, I am the one who helps you' - Isaiah 41:13.    

I will go before you

          I will go before you and make the crooked places straight - Isaiah 45:2

I will give you rest

           Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest - Matthew 11:28.

I will uphold you and lift you       

            I will uphold you with my righteous right hand - Isaiah 41:10.The Lord upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down - Psalm 145:14. The LORD makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand - Psalm 37:23,24.   

I will fight for you   

          The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still - Exodus 14:14.

I will be with you wherever you go

           Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go - Joshua 1:9. 

 I will never leave you nor forsake you 

            I will never leave you nor forsake you - Hebrews 13:5.

Be strong and courageous

            Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or scared of them; for the Lord your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you - Deuteronomy 31:6.     

Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged  

           The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged - Deuteronomy 31:8.   

                Let us thank and praise God who encourages us greatly by helping us, strengthening us, upholding us, instructing us, teaching us and by being with us in all our situations. Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings. I cling to you; your right hand upholds me - Psalm 63:7,8. Praise be to the LORD for He has heard my cry for mercy. The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him - Psalm 28:6-7.                                                                    

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are our great Encourager. We thank You for encouraging us in all our situations. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
