Then I will go to the altar of God, To God my exceeding joy; And on the harp I will praise You, O God, my God - Psalm 43:4.
God who is our exceeding joy puts more joy in our heart as we go to His altar. You have put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and new wine abound. I will both lie down and sleep in peace, for You alone, LORD, make me live in safety - Psalm 4:7-8.
There is fullness of joy in the presence of God. You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore - Psalm 16:11. The joy of the Lord is your strength - Nehemiah 8:10.
Let us go to the altar of God, to God our exceeding joy with hope, praise Him and receive joy instead of being disturbed within us. Then I will go to the altar of God, To God my exceeding joy; And on the harp I will praise You, O God, my God. Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God - Psalm 43:4.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are our exceeding joy. Let us come to Your altar and praise and receive more joy in our heart. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
