Paul's Prayer of Thanksgiving

I always thank my God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus - 1 Corinthians 1:4.

Paul began each of his letters with a prayer of thanksgiving. He always thanked God for the people to whom he is writing. We always thank God for all of you and continually mention you in our prayers - 1 Thessalonians 1:2. He thanked God for the faith and love of believers in Christ. First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world - Romans 1:8.

Paul’s prayer always began with thanksgiving to God. We give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you - Colossians 1:3. I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ - Philippians 1:3-6.

Paul thanked God in all his situations even when he was in prison. Let us thank God in everything and for all He had done for us. In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you - 1 Thessalonians 5:18. With Paul, let us also say in confidence that we can do everything through Christ who gives us the strength.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us always give thanks in everything and for all the people around us. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
