And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you - Ephesians 4:32.
Our God’s love is so great that He forgives us and does not repay us according to our iniquities. If you, Lord, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you - Psalm 130:3,4. For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You - Psalm 86:5. As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us - Psalm 103:12.
Let us love our enemies, bless those who curse us and repay good for evil. But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you - Matthew 5:44. Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing - 1 Peter 3:9. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors - Matthew 6:12.
Let us always forgive others just as Christ forgave us. Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do - Colossians 3:13. Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven - Matthew 18:21,22.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to forgive others as You forgave us. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
