I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will - Acts 13:22.
David always inquired God before taking any decision as he desired to know the will of God. God gave him a clear direction and victory each time he inquired. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye - Psalm 32:8. I instruct you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths - Proverbs 4:11. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths - Proverbs 3:6.
Then they told David, saying, “Look, the Philistines are fighting against Keilah, and they are robbing the threshing floors.” Therefore David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I go and attack these Philistines?”. And the Lord said to David, “Go and attack the Philistines, and save Keilah.” - 1 Samuel 23:1-3.
Then David said, “Will the men of Keilah deliver me and my men into the hand of Saul?” And the Lord said, “They will deliver you.” So David and his men, about six hundred, arose and departed from Keilah and went wherever they could go. Then it was told Saul that David had escaped from Keilah; so he halted the expedition. And David stayed in strongholds in the wilderness, and remained in the mountains in the Wilderness of Ziph. Saul sought him every day, but God did not deliver him into his hand - 1 Samuel 23:12-14.
The Philistines also went and deployed themselves in the Valley of Rephaim. So David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You deliver them into my hand?” And the Lord said to David, “Go up, for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into your hand.” So David went to Baal Perazim, and David defeated them there; and he said, “The Lord has broken through my enemies before me, like a breakthrough of water.” Therefore he called the name of that place Baal Perazim - 2 Samuel 5:18-20.
It happened after this that David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I go up to any of the cities of Judah?” And the Lord said to him, “Go up.” David said, “Where shall I go up?” And He said, “To Hebron.” - 2 Samuel 2:1.
The Lord will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail - Isaiah 58:11.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us always inquire You and seek direction before taking any decision in our life. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
