Pray for one another - James 5:16.
Isaac prayed for Rebekah
Now Isaac pleaded with the Lord for his wife, because she was barren; and the Lord granted his plea, and Rebekah his wife conceived - Genesis 25:21.
Job prayed for his friends
And the Lord restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before - Job 42:10.
Church prayed for Peter
So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him - Acts 12:5. Peter knocked at the outer entrance, and a servant named Rhoda came to answer the door. When she recognized Peter’s voice, she was so overjoyed she ran back without opening it and exclaimed, “Peter is at the door!”. But Peter kept on knocking, and when they opened the door and saw him, they were astonished - Acts 12:13,14,16.
For all people
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people - 1 Timothy 2:1.
For kings and all those in authority
For kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth - 1 Timothy 2:2-4.
Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need - Hebrews 4:16.
