The Lord Our God Who Dwells On High Humbles Himself

Who is like the Lord our God, Who dwells on high, Who humbles Himself to behold The things that are in the heavens and in the earth? - Psalm 113:5,6.

The Lord our God who dwells on high humbled Himself to behold The things that are in the heavens and in the earth. It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in - Isaiah 40:22.

Who is like the Lord our God

No one is like you, Lord; You are great, and Your name is mighty in power - Jeremiah 10:6. How great you are, Sovereign Lord! There is no one like you - 2 Samuel 7:22. Who among the gods is like you, LORD? Who is like you— majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders? - Exodus 15:11. Among the gods there is none like You, O Lord; Nor are there any works like Your works - Psalm 86:8.

Who dwells on high

Sing praises to the LORD, who sits enthroned in Zion! Tell among the peoples his deeds! - Psalm 9:11. But the LORD sits enthroned forever; he has established his throne for justice - Psalm 9:7.  For you, O Lord, are most high over all the earth; you are exalted far above all gods - Psalm 97:9. The LORD is high above all nations, And His glory above the heavens - Psalm 113:4.

Who humbles Himself to behold The things that are in the heavens and in the earth

Who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross - Philippians 2:6–8.

For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones" - Isaiah 57:15.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You and praise You. There is none like You who dwell on high but humbled to behold the things that are in the heavens and in the earth. Let us be humble. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
