Declare His Works

Let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, And declare His works with rejoicing - Psalm 107:22.

The works of God in creation is great. He created heaven and earth by His word. The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork - Psalm 19:1. We are created by God to declare the works of the Lord. This people I have formed for Myself; They shall declare My praise - Isaiah 43:21. I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the Lord - Psalm 118:17. We are set free by God's work of redemption on cross. In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins - Colossians 1:14.
Let us declare and speak all the wondrous works which God has done in our life. Many, O Lord my God, are Your wonderful works which You have done; And Your thoughts toward us cannot be recounted to You in order; If I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered - Psalm 40:5. That I may proclaim with the voice of thanksgiving, And tell of all Your wondrous works - Psalm 26:7. Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; Talk of all His wondrous works - Psalm 105:2.
We are called to declare the marvelous works of God among the nations. Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples - Psalm 96:3. But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light - 1 Peter 2:9. Let us fulfill the purpose of God in our life by declaring His great works to all.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us declare Your works to all the people. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Calm Spirit

And a man of understanding is of a calm spirit - Proverbs 17:27.

A person with calm spirit is very precious in the sight of God. Do not let your adornment be merely outward-arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God - 1 Peter 3:3,4. The beauty of a person with calm spirit will never fade away.
Calmness is a beautiful quality. The more we talk, the more likely we are to sin. Our words can either hurt or build up others. A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger - Proverbs 15:1. In quietness and confidence shall be your strength - Isaiah 30:15. Let us examine ourselves and make every effort to lead a quiet life. Search your hearts and be silent - Psalm 4:4. Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life -1 Thessalonians 4:11.
Let our spirit be calm, quiet and undisturbed no matter what happens around us. Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful - John 14:27. I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future - Jeremiah 29:11.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Fill us with a calm spirit to lead a victorious life. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Who We Are?

In Him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will - Ephesians 1:11.

We are the children of the Most High God. Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God - 1 John 3:1. We are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood and a holy nation (1 Peter 2:9). We are the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:27). We are the citizens of Heaven (Philippians 3:20).
We are the righteousness of God (2 Corinthians 5:21). We are more than conquerors in Christ. Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us - Romans 8:37. We are new creation. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new - 2 Corinthians 5:17.
We are the light and salt of the world (Matthew 5 : 13,14). We are branches attached to the Vine (John 15:5). We are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We are God’s workmanship (Ephesians 2:10). We are the ambassadors of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20). We are like living stones building a spiritual house (1 Peter 2:5).

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for helping us to understand who we are in You. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Be Courageous

Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you - 1 Chronicles 28:20.

God commanded Joshua to be courageous as he had to lead the people of Israelites to the new promised land. God also reassured him His presence. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go - Joshua 1:9. God had told Joshua to be strong and courageous three times in the same chapter of Joshua 1.
God offers His presence by being always with us wherever we go.  Let us be courageous as God has also promised us that He will never leave us nor forsake us. Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you - Deuteronomy 31:6. David’s faith in God made him courageous and bold to face Goliath and win him. Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong - 1 Corinthians 16:13.
We will have tribulation in this world. But let us be courageous as God had overcome the world. These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world - John 16:33. Like Joshua, let us accomplish the work which God had assigned for us with courage. The righteous are bold as a lion - Proverbs 28:1. If God is for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You as You are with us always. Help us to be strong and courageous to do the work You want us to do. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Jesus Calms The Storm

But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm – Mathew 8:26.

Jesus and His disciples went in a boat crossing the sea of Galilee. Suddenly a great storm arose on sea and the boat was covered with waves. The disciples were filled with fear and they searched for Jesus. As Jesus was tired, he was asleep. So the disciples awoke Him to save them. Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm - Mark 4:39.
As Jesus arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, the waves became still and there was a great calm in the sea. He calms the storm, So that its waves are still. Then they are glad because they are quiet - Psalm 107:29,30. For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast - Psalm 33:9. Jesus commanded the wind and the wind ceased immediately. The men marveled as they saw winds and the sea obey Jesus.
Miracles cannot work in the midst of storms when we have fear instead of faith. But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?” and they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, “Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!” - Mark 4:40,41. Let us choose faith over fear in the midst of storms in our life. Jesus can calm all the storms and fill us with His peace.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for calming all the storms in our life and giving us peace. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Mary's Love For God

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength - Deuteronomy 6:5.

Mary used very expensive oil to anoint the feet of Jesus. Then Mary took a pound of very costly oil of spikenard, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil - John 12:3.
Nothing is more important for Mary than God and so she gave her best. Judas considered the action of Mary as wasteful. But nothing stopped her to worship God. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also - Mathew 6:21.
Mary demonstrated how deeply she loved and valued God. She wiped the Lord’s feet with her hair. She loved God with her heart, mind and soul more than anything else. Her highest priority in life was Jesus. Like Mary, let us fill our house with the fragrance of worship to God out of love.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us love You with all our heart, soul and strength. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

God Who Turns Dry Places Into Watered Places

He turns a wilderness into pools of water, And dry land into watersprings – Psalm 107:35.

The Lord provided water for the Israelites from a rock when there was no water for them to drink in the desert. Take the staff you used to strike the Nile River. I’ll be standing in front of you there by a rock at Mount Horeb. Strike the rock, and water will come out of it for the people to drink - Exodus 17:5,6. As the Lord said, Moses struck the rock and water came out of it.
All things are possible with God. He turns dry places into watered places. He split rocks in the desert. He gave them plenty to drink, an ocean of water. He made streams come out of a rock. He made the water flow like rivers - Psalm 78:15,16. I will open rivers in high places, and a fountain in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water - Isaiah 41:18.
God makes new things in our life by turning all our dry situations into pools and springs of blessings. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert - Isaiah 43:19. He blesses us and makes us a blessing for others. The Lord your God is bringing you into a good land. It is a land with rivers that don’t dry up. There are springs and underground streams flowing through the valleys and hills - Deuteronomy 8:7.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You as You turn all the dry areas in our life into blessings. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
