Be Courageous

Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you - 1 Chronicles 28:20.

               God commanded Joshua to be courageous as he had to lead the people of Israelites to the new promised land. God also reassured him His presence. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go - Joshua 1:9. God had told Joshua to be strong and courageous three times in the same chapter of Joshua 1.

               God offers His presence by being always with us wherever we go.  Let us be courageous as God has also promised us that He will never leave us nor forsake us. Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you - Deuteronomy 31:6. David’s faith in God made him courageous and bold to face Goliath and win him. Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong - 1 Corinthians 16:13.

           We will have tribulation in this world. But let us be courageous as God had overcome the world. These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world - John 16:33. Like Joshua, let us accomplish the work which God had assigned for us with courage. The righteous are bold as a lion - Proverbs 28:1. If God is for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31.

                                                   

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You as You are with us always. Help us to be strong and courageous to do the work You want us to do. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
