Whether you eat or drink or whatever
you do, do all to the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31).
God is glorified when we offer Him the
sacrifice of thanksgiving. Psalm 50:23 says, “He who offers a sacrifice of
thanksgiving glorifies Me”. We also glorify
God when we call upon Him. Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver
you, and you shall glorify Me - Psalm 50:15. And whatever you ask in My name,
that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son - John 14:13.
Abraham gave glory to God by strengthening
his faith as he believed that God’s promises will never fail. He did not waver
at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving
glory to God - Romans 4:20. When we believe
God, we glorify God and see the glory of God as well. Then Jesus said, “Did I
not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” -John 11:40.
God will be glorified through us when we exhibit
fruit of the spirit in our life. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear
much fruit - John 15:8. Rather than seeking our own glory, let us seek the
glory of God. He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who seeks
the glory of the One who sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him -
John 7:18.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We offer our life
to You. Let us always bring glory to Your name. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
