God Is With Us Always

I am with you always to the very end of the age. Mathew 28:20.
We are not alone as God is with us always. His name is Immanuel meaning God with us. God came to this world to be always with us. The word became flesh and He dwelt among us -John 1:14. God is with us wherever we go and His presence comes with us. Be strong and of good courage. Do not be afraid nor be dismayed. for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go – Joshua 1:9. God being with us is the greatest blessing for us.
God is with us in all our difficult times. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you - Isaiah 43:2. During our difficult times, no people will be with us except God. David says in Psalm 23:4 that “I will fear no evil for You are with me”. Fear not for I am with you - Isaiah 41:10. There is no need to fear about any of our situation as God is with us always and He is in control. And the Lord, He is the one who goes before you.  He will be with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.  Do not fear nor be dismayed – Deuteronomy 31:8.
No one in this world will continue to be with us always. Even our friends, relatives and our siblings may stop talking with us and break the relationship with us at any time. Love of many will grow cold – Mathew 24:12. Only God will be with us always till the end of our life. He had promised us that He will be with us always to the very end of the age. What a great promise from God!!
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank you for being with us always. Help us not to fear or worry about anything as You are with us always till the very end of the age. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Bitterness Into Sweetness

So he cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet. Exodus 15:25.
After crossing the Red sea, the Israelites went three days in the wilderness without water. When they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah as it was bitter. The Israelites grumbled and complained against Moses. Moses cried out to God for help and God showed him a tree. He cast it into the waters and the waters were made sweet.
When all the people complained to Moses, he did not talk anything back to people. Instead he cried out to God for the direction. God gave guidance to him by showing a tree. When we call upon the Lord in the day of trouble, He will deliver us and we shall glorify Him. He will guide us and lead us in the way we should go.
We may encounter some dry and bitter experiences in our life which we never expect. But instead of grumbling about it, let us call upon God and He will show us a way and deliver us. He will turn all our bitter experiences into sweetness. Call to Me, and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know – Jeremiah 33:3.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the Lord who can turn all our bitter experiences into sweetness. Help us to call upon You and keep trusting in You in midst of it. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

The Sufficiency of God's Grace

My grace is sufficient for you . 2 Corinthians 12:9.
Paul had a thorn of flesh and he pleaded with the Lord three times to take it away. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me – 2 Corinthians 12:8. God answered Paul’s prayer by granting him the grace instead of deliverance. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you for My strength is made perfect in weakness” - 2 Corinthians 12:9.
Paul was well content with God’s answer as His strength was made perfect in his weakness. He responded that he will boast his weaknesses so that power of Christ dwell in him. As God had promised that His grace will be sufficient for him, he boldly confessed that for when I am weak, I am strong. But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift – Ephesians 4:7.
Sometimes we expect God to answer our prayer. But God’s answer may be that His grace is sufficient for that particular need. Let us accept it like Paul and be content with the sufficiency of God’s grace. By His grace, we are saved by faith. God’s grace is sufficient in all of our needs. God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you always having all sufficiency in all things, may have abundance for every good work. 2 Corinthians 9:8.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, we thank You for the sufficiency of Your grace. Let Your abundant grace be always sufficient for us and let Your strength be made perfect in our weaknesses. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Good Works

We are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10.
We are created by God for a purpose. We are made to serve God by doing good works. God has given each of us many gifts and abilities. Every one of us shall be a blessing for others. Whenever we serve people, we fulfill God’s plan in our life. Let us love others not only by word but also by our deeds.
In Acts 9:36, we see that Tabitha was always doing good and helping the poor.  She stitched clothes and gave it to the poor and needy people. She gave her time, talent and effort to help others. She is a woman full of good works. Suddenly she became ill and died. When Peter prayed, God raised her back to life. Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Galatians 6:9.
Let us find opportunities to do good work to people in need. 1 Timothy 6:18,19 says that “Let them do good that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.” May the Lord help us to be rich in good works.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank you for creating us to do good works. Let our light shine before all men that they see our good works and glorify You. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

The Lord is My Helper

The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. what can man do to me? Hebrews 13:6.
Our God is the great helper for us and there is no need to fear about anything. He is watching over us day and night as He never sleeps. I will lift up my eyes to the hills from whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord who made the heaven and earth - Psalm 121:1,2. He is our very present help in trouble. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble - Psalm 46:1.
When Joseph was in prison, he told the chief Butler to remember him and to help him to come out of the prison. But Genesis 40:23 says that the chief Butler did not remember Joseph, but forget him. No man will help us unless they get something from us and the help of man is useless. Our help comes only from the Lord. Give us help from trouble for the help of man is useless. Psalm 108:12.
God will never ignore our cry for help when we call Him for help. Our soul waits for the Lord. He is our help and our shield - Psalm 33:20. The Holy spirit is our helper and He will teach us all things. Also, the Spirit helps us in all our weaknesses. For this is God, our God forever and ever. He will be our guide even to death. Psalm 48:14.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are our Helper. Help us and teach us all things we need to know. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Jehovah Nissi - The Lord is my banner

And Moses built an altar and called its name, The Lord is my banner. Exodus 17:15.
Jehovah Nissi means The Lord is my banner. In Exodus 17, we learn that Amalekites were attacking the Israelites at Rephidim. This is the first battle Israelites faced since their deliverance from Egypt.  Joshua and Israelites fought against the Amalekites. When Moses’ hands were lifted, Israelites were winning whereas Amalekites were winning when his hands were lowered.
Israelites won the battle with Aaron and Hur supporting Moses’ arms. God is our rock and salvation. He leads us and protects us. He fights for us and gives us victory. Like how Aaron and Hur supported the arms of Moses, let us support each other in prayer. Prayer brings victory. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them – Mathew 18:20.
After their victory in battle, Moses built an altar and called its name “The Lord is my banner”.  The Lord is our banner and let us trust only Him. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the Name of the Lord our God. Psalm 20:7.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are Jehovah Nissi, The Lord our banner. We thank you for fighting for us and leading us into victory over any challenges we face. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

In Everything Give Thanks

In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18.
I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart. I will recount all of your wonderful deeds - Psalm 9:1. It is easy to thank God for all His goodness and blessings when everything goes well. But God expects us to give thanks in everything. Having a thankful heart for everything is God’s will for us. Give thanks to God no matter what happens as it is the will of God. God can turn any trouble into a blessing.
Whenever we feel anxious about any situation, let us begin thanking God with our requests and God’s peace will guard our hearts and minds. Submit all the situations to God with thanksgiving. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus - Philippians 4:6.
Job thanked God even when he lost everything. He also did not sin with his lips. God gave Job twice as much as blessings as he had before. God is good all the time. Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks in everything - Colossians 3:17. Instead of grumbling and complaining about the situation, let us choose to thank God for it. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him and bless His name - Psalm 100:4.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for all Your goodness in our life. Help us to be thankful in everything as this is Your will for us. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

The Spirit Of Excellence

Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm. Daniel 6:3.
Daniel had a spirit of excellence within him. He excelled more than any one as an excellent spirit was in him. God gifted him with wisdom, knowledge, understanding and skills in all literature. God also gave him the special ability to interpret the meaning of dreams and visions. In as much as an excellent spirit, knowledge, understanding, interpreting dreams, solving riddles and explaining enigmas were found in this Daniel whom the king named Belteshazzar, now let Daniel be called, and he will give the interpretation – Daniel 5:12.
Daniel walked in holiness. He purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the King’s delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank – Daniel 1:8.  God was more important for Daniel than the king. Also, Daniel was a man of prayer and thanksgiving. He knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before God – Daniel 6:10. Daniel valued the relationship with God more than anything.
As Daniel had an excellent spirit, he succeeded in all that he did. We need the spirit of excellence to excel in all the areas of our life as we are representing God’s kingdom on earth. Let us walk in holiness and lead a consistent prayer life. Receive the spirit of excellence from God and guard it to shine for His glory.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to lead a holy life and give us a consistent prayer life. Fill us with the spirit of excellence to excel in everything.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

More Than Conquerors

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Romans 8:37.
God loves us and through him we are more than conquerors. As Christ had defeated Satan on the cross, there is no need for us to live in defeat. Greater is He who is in us than He who is in the world. Thanks be to God, who gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ – 1 Corinthians 15:57.
Before David faced Goliath, he did not focus on the circumstances. He focused his attention on God, His past faithfulness and His power. David faced Goliath with much confidence as if he had already won the battle. He defeated Goliath and came out as a conqueror with victory.  So David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and stone; without a sword in his hand he struck down the Philistine and killed him. 1 Samuel 17:50.
No one can be against us as God is for us and no weapon that is formed against us shall prosper. God has given us the authority to overcome all the power of the enemy and nothing will harm us. Let us walk in authority over all our circumstances as we are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for we are more than conquerors through You who loved us. Help us to lead a victorious life. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.

In His Time

He has made everything beautiful in its time. Ecclesiastes 3:11.
Our God makes everything beautiful in His time. Our life is in His control and our times are in the hands of God. He is a promise keeping God and His ways are perfect. He has an ordained time and purpose for everything to happen in our life. Romans 8:28 says that "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose".
When the wine ran out in the Cana’s wedding, Mary told Jesus that they don’t have any more wine. Jesus answered her that His time has not yet come. So, Mary, servants and others in the wedding waited and obeyed to the commands of Jesus. Jesus did the first miracle by turning the water into wine and manifested His glory. He made everything in the wedding of Cana beautiful in His time.
All things are possible with God. He can bring beauty out of ashes. Let us allow God to work in our life according to His appointed time. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak and not lie; though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry – Habakkuk 2:3.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, we believe that You will make all things beautiful in Your time in our life. We trust You and wait patiently as our blessings are on its way. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Jehovah Rapha - The Lord who heals us

I am the Lord who heals you. Exodus 15:26.
Our God is Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals us. The Hebrew word Rapha or Raphe means “to heal”, “to restore” or “to make healthful”. God can heal any kind of our diseases by sending His word and delivering us. Praise the Lord oh my soul and forget not all His benefits who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases -Psalm 103:2,3. He himself took all our weaknesses and carried all our diseases on the cross. By His stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5.
If we fear the Lord and depart from evil, we will be nourished both physically and spiritually. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil, It will be health to your flesh. And strength to your bones - Proverbs 3:7,8. Our God heals us emotionally also. He heals all our deepest pains, disappointments and hurts. He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3.
God’s word brings us healing, health and life when we pay attention to it. It is the best medicine for us. My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes.  Keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them and health to all their flesh. Proverbs 4:20-22.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are Jehovah Rapha, our healer. Help us to pay attention to Your words that are life to us and health to all our flesh. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Words We Speak

Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one. Colossians 4:6.
To every word we speak, we are accountable to God. But I say to you that every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgement - Mathew 12:36. Speak words that bring healing, peace, deliverance and hope to hopeless people. Our words should be gracious, uplifting and positive. Our words should always build up others and it must not hurt others.
As death and life are in the power of tongue, we must be careful with the words we speak. For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks- Mathew 12: 34.  We usually speak the words that are in our heart. When our hearts are abundantly filled with grace and mercy of Jesus Christ, we will speak life, joy and hope instead of unnecessary things.
keep the tongue from evil and lips from telling lies as God hates a lying tongue. Let us be always quick to hear and slow to speak. Let us use our tongue to glorify and praise God. I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth. Psalm 34:1.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Set up a guard to our mouth and keep watch at the door of our lips. Help us to speak wisely and let our words encourage others. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Name Above All Names

Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name. Philippians 2:9.
Jesus Christ is the only name given among men by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 says that “And there is salvation in no there One; for there is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved”. For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13.
There is power in the name of Jesus. Demons flee in the name of Jesus. Healing is occurring in His name. Peter said to lame man in Acts 3:6 that “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you; In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk”. The lame man leaping up stood and walked. Whatever we ask in prayer in the name of Jesus, He will do it.  If you ask anything in my name, I will do it. John 14:14.
We have victory in the name of Jesus. Let us praise the wonderful name of Jesus which is above all names and exalt His name. Sing to the Lord, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day. Psalm 96:2. Proclaim the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and make His name known among the nations. In the powerful name of Jesus, let every knee bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Jesus, name above all names
Beautiful Savior, Glorious Lord
Immanuel, God is with us
Blessed Redeemer, Living Word.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for Your powerful name. Help us to always praise, exalt and proclaim Your name which is above all names. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Pure Heart

Blessed are pure in heart for they shall see God. Mathew 5:8.
God expects us to live in such a way that we see Him. When we are pure in heart, we can understand the plan of God for us and hear the voice of God. Our heart will be united with the heart of God when we fill our heart with the word of God that is pure. When our heart is pure, we can lead a holy life and see the wonders of God.
It is impossible to see the holy God without holiness. Without holiness, no man will see God - Hebrews 12:14. Only those who are pure in heart can approach God and receive blessings from Him. Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive blessing from the Lord, And righteousness from the God of his salvation. Psalm 24:3-5.
Like David, let us ask God to create us a clean heart. Create in me a clean heart, O God and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Let us hide God’s word in heart and guard the heart from all evil. Psalm 51:10. Above all else, guard your heart for everything you do flows from it - Proverbs 4:23. For out of the abundance of the heart, mouth speaks - Mathew 12:34.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Create in us a clean heart and help us to guard our heart from all evil. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.

Merciful God

The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in mercy. Psalm 103: 8.
Our God is merciful and He is the father of Mercies. He saved us according to His mercy. We are living today by God’s mercies and His mercies are new every morning. Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness. Lamentations 2:22, 23.
God is rich in mercies and His mercies are endless. For the Lord is good. His mercy is everlasting - Psalm 100:5. God’s goodness and mercies will follow us all the days of our life. His mercies are so great towards those who fear God. For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him - Psalm 103:11.
Just as our Lord is merciful, let us also be merciful with others. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful - Luke 6:36. Let us love mercy and show mercy to others. Blessed are the merciful for they will be shown mercy - Matthew 5:7.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for Your mercies that are great towards us. Help us to be merciful with others just as You are merciful. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Preach the Gospel

And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16:15.

The great commission of the Lord for us is to go and take the gospel to every person of the world. We should make each and every opportunity given to us to preach the Christ to the lost people.

Peter is the first to preach the gospel in the power of the Holy Spirit. Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit”- Acts 2:38. When Peter preached, 3000 people were saved and later the number of believers grew to 5000.

Saul went to the synagogues and preached the Christ immediately after God spoke with him. Immediately he preached the Christ in the synagogues, that He is the son of God. Acts 9:20.  Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians and Philemon were written by Paul when he was in prison.

None of Paul’s situation hindered him from sharing the gospel with others. May God give us a heart to preach gospel boldly to every person in the world. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes – Romans 1:16.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to glorify You by preaching the gospel to all people. Give us the power and courage to reach the unreached people. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

God Will Make a Way

Thus says the Lord who makes a way through the sea and a path through mighty waters. Isaiah 43:16.
Our Lord is a powerful God who makes a way through the sea and a path through mighty waters. The people of Israelites were in much fear when the mighty Egyptian army were behind them and the Red sea was in front of them. God divided the Red sea and turned it into dry land. Israelites walked through it on the dry land. He divided the sea and let them pass through it and made the waters stand like a heap. Psalm 78:13.
God always made a way for the people of Israel. He made a way for them to get out of the Egypt. He made a way for them to cross the Red sea. He made a way for them to cross the wilderness and go into the promised land. In our life also, God can make a way for us where there seems to be no way at all.
The obstacles in our life may seem very hard to overcome. Our God is a way maker.  He can make a new way for us. He will never leave us nor forsake us. Like Israelites, let us walk through the trials by faith. By faith they passed through the Red sea as by the dry land – Hebrews 11:29. Let us walk by faith and not by sight.
God will make a way,
where there seems to be no way;
He works in ways we cannot see,
He will make a way for me.

He will be my guide,
hold me closely to His side;
With love and strength for each new day,
He will make a way. He will make a way!

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are a mighty God who can make a way in our life where we do not find a way.  Help us to walk by faith and not by sight. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

How Precious We Are

What is man that you are mindful of him. Psalm 8:4.
We are very precious and special in the sight of God. God created us in His own image. The Majestic God who had created us is mindful of us. The Lord has been mindful of us. Psalm 115:12. He cares for us - 1 Peter 5:7. We are always safe in the hand of God. See I have engraved you on the palms of my hands. Your walls are ever before me. Isaiah 49: 16.
God guides us and protects us. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. I will guide you with my eye – Psalm 32:8. God is always watching over us. The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth and even forevermore – Psalm 121:8. His presence is always with us.
Nothing can harm us as God had covered us under the shadow of His hand. I have put my words in your mouth and covered you with the shadow of my hand – Isaiah 51:16. He is covering us with His feathers and we are abiding under the shadow of the Almighty God. He is our refuge and fortress. For he who touches you touches the apple of His eye - Zechariah 2:8.
PRAYER: Dear God, We thank You for sustaining and caring us. We thank You for Your protection and guidance. Keep us as the apple of Your eye and hide us under the shadow of Your wings. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Love of Money

The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. 1 Timothy 6:10
Money can make slaves of people. The love of money is the root of all kinds of evils.  When money becomes idol in our life, we cannot seek godly things. Judas’ love of money caused him to despise Jesus. For Ananias and Saphira, the love of money made them to tell lies before God. The love of money will cause people to commit all sorts of sins.
Set your mind on things above and not on things on earth - Colossians 3:2. When we start to set our minds on heavenly things above, we will not focus on earthly things.  We cannot serve both God and money. No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. Mathew 6:24.
The earth is the Lord's, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein - Psalm 24:1. In sixteen out of thirty-eight parables in Bible, Jesus had talked about how to handle possessions and money.  All the treasures of this world will perish and only the heavenly treasure will not be exhausted. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also - Mathew 6:21.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Keep our life free from love of money and let us be content with what we have. Help us to set our minds on things above. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Jehovah Shalom - The Lord is Peace

So Gideon built an altar there to the Lord, and called it The Lord Is Peace. Judges 6:24.
Shalom means Peace. Our God is the prince of peace. As the people of Israelites did evil in the sight of the Lord, God delivered them into the hands of Midianites for seven years. The Midianites destroyed the crops sown by Israelites, their cattle and riches.  So, all the people of Israelites lived in fear and danger.
During that time, God spoke to Gideon “Peace! Do not be afraid” – Judges 6:23. So Gideon built an altar there to the Lord and called it “The Lord is Peace”.  God used Gideon mightily and gave Midianites into his hands. During difficult situations, let us build an altar of God’s peace in our heart and surely victory will follow us.
Isaiah 26: 3 says that, “You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts on You”. No matter what is happening, let’s keep our mind stayed on God and trust Him. God will give us the perfect peace when our mind is stayed on Him instead of focusing on our problems. When God of peace is with us, we can experience peace in any situation. Let the peace of Christ rule our mind and heart.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the God of peace who can give us the perfect peace which the world can never give. Let your peace that surpasses all our understanding guard our heart and mind. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Temple of the Holy Spirit

Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?  For you were bought at a price; therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. 1 Corinthians 6:19,20.
We are fearfully and wonderfully made by God. The living God lives in the temple of our bodies. God who is holy lives in us and we are the home of God. As our body is the temple of the Holy God, we must treat our body with respect and care. Eating unhealthy food shows that we disregarding the body God gave us to serve him with.
We have been bought with a price by God and so we no longer belong to ourselves but to God. Let us use our bodies for the glory of God by carrying His presence everywhere we go. God created us and He expects us to use it in the way He intended for it to be used. It is never too late to improve and to do some maintenance for our body. For you are the temple of the Holy God. 2 Corinthians 6:16b.
Therefore whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all in the glory of God – 1 Corinthians 10:31. As believers, we have the privilege and responsibility of representing Christ through the way we live. Our thoughts, words and deeds must bring glory to God. Let us present our bodies as living sacrifice holy and acceptable to God.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to treat our bodies with respect as it is the temple of the Holy spirit. Let us glorify You by our body and use it for Your purpose. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Promises of God

For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. 2 Corinthians 1:20.

The Bible is full of God’s promises. All the promises of God in Him are Yes and Amen. “Amen” is a Hebrew word which means “truly” or “so be it”. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever - Hebrews 13:8. He is the unchangeable God who keeps promises. God is not a man, that He should lie – Numbers 23:19. God does not lie like man. All His promises are sure and He is faithful to His word.
Abraham had great faith that God who had promised him was also able to perform. He believed God’s promises that he would become father of all the nations. God fulfilled all the promises He made to Abraham. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God,  and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform – Romans 4:20, 21.
Isaiah 55:11 says that “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it”. God’s word will never return void as it is powerful. Let us start declaring the promises of God over all the situations of our life. God is faithful to fulfill all His promises in our life at the right time. Hold the promises of God by faith and see their manifestations in life.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, we thank You for all the promises you have given us. You are the promise keeping God and all Your promises are Yes and Amen. We believe that You will fulfill all the promises You have given us in the right time. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Fruit of the Spirit

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Galatians 5:22.

We are chosen by God to exhibit fruit of the Spirit in our life. You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit – John 15:16. We glorify God when we bear much fruit. If we walk in the Spirit, we will not carry out the desires of flesh and the Holy spirit will enable us to bear fruit. Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh- Galatians 5:16.
Joseph exhibited fruit of the Spirit in his family and with others. Joseph’s willingness to forgive his brothers shows his love towards them. He was very kind with them and showed great mercy towards them even though they did evil to him. After Joseph was taken to Egypt, he waited patiently for 12 years before God lifted him up. Joseph is a fruitful vine, a fruitful vine near a spring, whose branches climb over a wall- Genesis 49:22.
If we want the fruit of the Spirit to grow in us, we must abide in God. I am the vine, you are the branches, He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing - John 15:5. When we remain in God, we can bear much fruit. Like a gardener who works hard in removing weeds to enjoy sweet fruits, let us work hard to get rid of our old sinful nature and bear fruit. Let us exhibit the fruit of the Spirit with all the people God has placed in our lives.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to exhibit the fruit of spirit to others. Let us abide in You and walk in the Spirit so that we can bear much fruit. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.

The Samaritan Woman

Jesus answered and said to her, Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. John 4:13, 14

Jesus meets the Samaritan woman
When Jesus was going from Judea to Galilee, he went through Samaria. As He was tired, He sat by Jacob’s well in Samaria and a Samaritan woman came to the well to draw water. Though Jews have no dealings with Samaritans, Jesus started a conversation with her. He began by asking her for a drink. When she questioned why He is talking with her as He is a Jew, Jesus told her that He shall give her the living water and whoever drinks it shall never thirst..

Jesus revealed Himself to her
Jesus also claimed that He is the Messiah when she said that Messiah would declare all things to them. The Samaritan woman at the well had a personal encounter with Jesus. She immediately believed Jesus and ran to the town leaving behind her water pot to tell about Jesus. As she had found the living water, she was not interested in the well water. The decision of Jesus going through Samaria resulted in the transformation of a woman who had lost all her hope in life.

The Samaritan Woman spreading the gospel
In the gospel of John, the Samaritan woman became the first evangelist for Christ. John 4 :28, 29 says that the woman then left her water pot, went her way into the city, and said to the men, “Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this be the Christ?”. She boldly proclaimed to people in Samaria that Jesus is the Messiah. Many Samaritans believed Jesus through the testimony of her. Let us also share our experiences of God and pass the living water to the thirsty people. And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? - Romans 10:14.

PRAYER: Dear God, Help us to share the gospel with others as fast as we can like the Samaritan woman. Let us reach the unreached people and win many souls for you. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
